I've called Rey's a couple of times already and they never disappoint. One time I had an issue…read morewhich they couldn't pin point, but they told me to keep calling every time I noticed the sound and they would help me until they could find it. Well...it turns out it wasn't the unit. It was a plumbing issue and they still helped me pin point the issue - no charge. They texted me a you tube video so I could fix it. It's so hard to find companies you can trust, but Rey's has proven themselves. They are always giving back to the community as well. West Sac or surrounding area - just call Rey's first.

Hmmmm. They use expensive AC capacitors…read more I picked out Rey's Air because it has a 4.9 Yelp rating. You can't always judge Yelp's rating by its cover. Our AC went on the blink yesterday. It's less than ten years old and is used minimally. The unit's interior house fan and exterior AC fan remained working but the compressor failed to engage. The air was not being chilled. I'm old. 76. I know that capacitors commonly fail and I have had them replaced over the years. Rey' Air quoted $79 to take a look. What could go wrong. On the positive side Rey's Air arrived promptly the next day. On the negative side, after about a half hour of perusing, the tech said that he determined that I likely have a bad capacitor. He recommended replacing it, or even upgrading to a better capacitor unit (for $200 "more") When I asked what the 'regular' capacitor replacement would be, he said $285. I hesitated. I said that's a lot for a capacitor. (Home Depot sells them for as little as $10 to $20 for the part). He said everything is expensive or something to that effect. I said okay. Let's just get it done. I did not want to go through more torment with another AC outfit. I said let's just go with the "cheaper chicken". Then the tech began adding. He said okay. "So that's 285 plus 79 (the show up fee). That's $364! (for a $10 part). I think I said 'yikes'. That is an 'expensive capacitor'. After a couple of minutes the tech relented agreeing to "only charge me" $285 for the half hour of looking (and five minute replacing). Bottom line: Fair price for fair service is all we ask. I see some gouging here. I understand that there are times when changing a capacitor's price should go up. As when there are hazardous or miserable conditions including problematic accessibility, or with lengthy or repeated driving times. None of that applied. Short drive. Open and shady and cool work space. If Rey's were to have charged $180 or even $200 for the tech's 30 minutes attendance, that would have been fair and profitable. Two star rating is best I can do. .

Their quote was the lowest we got, but we got what we paid for. We had them replace our HVAC a few…read moreyears ago. They did not install the correct size return vent so our heater kept overheating. It would cycle on and off every few minutes and say it was heating when no air was moving. We literally had them come out 4 times before they found out what the issue one. The first 3 times they gaslit us and said that is was our Nest or a draft in an interior wall... I think they have only one good employee because the 4th guy to show up told us he liked to get paid for his overtime and would stick around until he got to the cause of the problem. Also when they finally "fixed" the return vent to a proper sized, they botched the install and had cracks in the ceiling and random screws sticking out in places. So they had to come back again to fix that mistake.

They sent Thomas out to take a look, he was very up front about the condition of the unit and advised that there was alot of issues, which we totally get. He was very thorough and took a lot of reference photos and explained what he was doing. We agreed to look at getting a new system and set up a meeting with Kyle for later the afternoon. Kyle was also amazing and went over the pricing and options, you never want to pay for a new AC unit but it's a necessity here so and they made sure we had a great deal. Installation will be later this week! I look forward to a frosty summer!

My Air Conditioner was not cooling my house's hot interior. When I called AirMech, I was offered an…read moreappointment the next day (sooner than their competitors). The service technician Christian arrived on time and courteously introduced himself and his service procedure. He used a handheld meter to measure pressures and other important data about the unit's performance. He showed me the results on his meter: a loss of pressure, probably because of a coolant leak. He laid out my options and answered my questions. After getting my approval, he replaced the missing coolant and added a dye kit that would help find the leak. He also mentioned the dye kit included a sealant that might close up any small leaks. After adding the coolant and dye kit, the HVAC unit quickly brought interior temperatures down. Short-term problem solved. Christian explained that AirMech offers a maintenance plan that I should consider. It pays for regular inspections and provides a 15% discount on the work he had just completed. I opted in. The money I saved that day will more than pay for a whole year of the maintenance plan. A couple weeks later, I called AirMech again to have them inspect the lines to look for leaks. Christian was my man again. He arrived bright and early and performed a visual check in the attic. Then he hooked up his meter to the outdoor HVAC unit. He showed me the results and interpreted them for me: all readings are in the "ideal" range. It looks like the dye kit with sealer did its job. And because I had opted into the maintenance plan, there was no charge for the visit. Long-term problem solved. AirMech's staff operated with professionalism and integrity. I will call on them for my future HVAC needs. And I hope I get Christian again!

Two word review: Honest, Responsive…read more This is my THIRD consecutive 5-star review for Rocklin Heating & Air. In the last 10 or so years in the area I've called RHA, one other place because they could get me to faster - had a bad experience, waited for RHA had an amazing experience, and decided they're going to be my ride-or-die for HVAC. I called them at 7am and by 11:30am their tech had fixed and tested everything and off to help someone else. Yesterday was the start of a heat wave and ... our AC unit quit on us. I called RHA as soon as they opened this morning at 7am, asked for Joe in particular, and they gave me a window between 10am and 12pm. Joe texted ahead of time at 10:30, diagnosed the blown capacitor, swapped it out, cleaned things up a bit, tested the coolant, answered a bunch of questions, and was on his way in just under an hour. The diagnostic was $129 and the capacitor was $186 today. By a complete and total coincidence, I had been running some experiments with home temperature sensors for the last week. You can literally see on these pictures exactly when the AC unit stopped working - and when RHA saved our bacon. The "other" place I called years ago only had a $79 diagnostic charge, but wanted to rip out and replace the entire HVAC system - and claimed we were taking our lives in our own hands by not getting it fixed with him immediately. Joe and RHA took care of everything for the diagnostic. Yeah, you can probably find someplace to charge you less for the diagnostic or maybe less for the part, but when your house is boiling hot / freezing cold, you want to be able to call on someone you can trust to help you out - and not take you for a ride.

He was very polite and got to work right away. Turned out to be a bad capacitor. Frank had everything we needed in his truck and was able to swap it out in no time. They've worked on my 2017 Ford Transit Connect, 2014 Mercedes GL63, and 2014 BMW X5. They replaced a driver-side CV axle, did oil changes, replaced brake pads and rotors, diagnosed and fixed an A/C and heater blower issue, repaired a trunk/liftgate problem, and also replaced a valve cover and gasket and battery. What stood out to me most was how knowledgeable, honest, and fair Samson and his team were throughout the process. The staff are friendly, the front desk is welcoming, and the customer service has been great. It's hard to find a shop that does quality work at reasonable prices, but 916 Auto Repair has done that for me. Definitely recommended.

My AC Drier was cracked and inoperable since last year. In this region of the Sacramento Valley and Placer County, 916 Auto quote beat 5 shops I contacted in the region and 1 shop even told me it's not worth it and I should get a new car. Bet if my car was a 69 Camaro, they'd do it. Why? Cause its a Classic Camaro. No matter the condition. Some shops don't want to work on Imports. But oh well. Their loss, not mine. I contacted 916 Auto and spoke to Samson to schedule an appointment and he said to come by that very same day. And so I drove from Roseville to Gold River that morning. Samson is honest & to the point. When he pulled my car in, he noticed a coolant leak. Now I didn't notice any leaks in my driveway, as it would seem the Coolant is evaporating or dissipating, but he notice it was getting on my Alternator, by the stains. It turns out, my OEM water pump (factory part since 2003 for this model year in 2004) finally gave out at 262K miles. Who'd ever think a Mazda/Ford part would last this long. This was an unexpected thought as I only had budgeted for the quote. So I called my CFO (Wife) and let her know of the issue. She said get it fixed and she'll adjust other expenses as she knows I need AC for the upcoming summer temps. So I authorized Samson to proceed with the entire job. Now I can't couldn't do any price comparison, but he did give me a discount which still fit in my overall budget. I spent my whole day in their lobby. They have updated their lobby to make it feel more comfortable and less Auto Shop feel. I notice the many people who drop by to have their car service are all happy and are returning customers. From a Dealership oil drain plug that was torqued too tight, to oil changes, brakes, and even a customer who was a bit upset where the Dealership sent the wrong part twice. The Dealership. I spoke to many of them and they all had the same answer when I ask. "What made you come here?" They replied, "Their price can't be beat!". In summary, my AC is now working as it should. Now I only used my AC for 2 whole days It gets cold and it has been awhile since I have felt cold in my aging car of 22 years. With my new water pump installed as well, my car is running smoother overall. Smoother shifts, heater gets warm fast. Almost, now almost like it was in 2004. So, Did I find a new shop for my Project Commuter Car? Yes I sure did. They have gotten a new customer. Up next is my Transmission Gasket & plug. One thing at a time! He inspected them and showed me how each one was clean, dry, and completely fine. He then inspected the rest of the engine compartment and the undercarriage and showed me that it was all in great shape. Finally, he noticed that a previous mechanic had removed the plastic shroud for my front wheel wells and failed to install new clips to secure the shroud afterward. I had wondered about the gap he noticed for years, but I didn't realize it was anything other than wear and tear. He replaced the clips for no extra charge. I know it seems like a small thing, but to me, it speaks clearly to Roland's character: I believe he genuinely cares about doing right by his customers and taking good care of their cars. When I asked him about some issues with electronic parts on my car (e.g. a digital dashboard display), he let me know that his area of focus was mechanical service and advised me to take my car to an electrical auto shop. I was grateful that he knew the limits of his expertise, communicated them clearly, and stuck to them. I felt his quoted price was quite reasonable, and even after he performed more work than requested (still within about a 1-hour time slot), he stuck to his original price quote. I am very happy with the service he provided and the price I paid! I would hire him again in a heartbeat.

Rolland came to my house and went straight to working on the fuse box without having made sure the…read morehigh voltage system of my Prius C was disconnected. Major red flag #1. He spent 40 minutes prying at different parts and trying to forcefully remove my fuse box to get to the 100A fusible link that I had to tell him was located beneath and the assembly had to be unbolted to get to it from underneath. After 40 minutes of painfully watching him attempt to force things open. I politely asked him to stop as it was obvious he didn't know what he was doing and broke a few components off my housing. I tried calling him to let him know of the damages. He denied responsibility and said he was only at my house for 5 minutes. He told me to never contact him again and failed to respond to the before and after photos I sent. Do not trust this shady business. What went from a lb easy replacement of a 100A that I could have done myself but did not have the time to do so, resulted in several hundred dollars of parts in addition to more for labor due to gross incompetence. DO NOT TRUST HIM!

I used Yelp to put a blanket request for the Sacramento area, and Stress Free Auto reached out right away! I was able to take my car in first thing the next morning and was greeted in such a friendly and warm way. Knowing they had a few jobs ahead of me, they called a niiiice Lyft and made sure I got home free of charge! From there the communication was excellent. There were continual texts that provided information about their progress not only with searching for the main problem, but also a general overall inspection of my vehicle. Once complete they sent me an estimate, I called to coordinate which things I wanted repaired/addressed, and they sent over a finalized quote that I signed immediately. It was quick, informative, and quite literally stress free The main problem was a cracked exhaust manifold. Seems like an extensive repair, right? Well, they let me know later that afternoon that they were done! Amazing same day service! Absolutely incredible. It's been a month since the repair and I haven't had any issues. So, in my book, that's a job well done! The only small gripe I have is the cost. Again, it was same day service, so it's understandable that I might have paid more than I would have at another local shop, but they did offer a discount on the initial inspection cost. Some other shops roll the inspection cost into the cost of repairs, but unfortunately Stress Free doesn't do that. Plus, a couple of suggested repairs were somewhat of a laughable cost. If memory serves, they quoted me around $60 to replace wipers. I'm not sure if it was a quote for all 3, or just one, but I spent $15 on a wiper on the way home and installed it myself. Whatever, they are trying to make money! Despite my small price gripe, I will be using Stress Free in the future for any vehicle concerns I have!

They did a wonderful job on my break repair service last year. I was kept updated and informed of their work progress. Vitaly came in to put a new inducer motor. He explain and showed me how the new equipment works and why the old one is making noise every time my heater turns on. He's professional, kind and vey knowledgeable. Also he's here on time which is rare in many technicians. Before he left he showed me the old inducer and explain again about the noise. Also he gives quality work and product which cost less than bigger company like Big Mountain who charges my grandmother twice as much shame on them targeting the elderly. Im the kind of person who likes to know and learn how things work when it comes to this kind of necessary equipment because they are not cheap if it breaks down. And Vitaly shared that knowledge how everything works and why is necessary to keep it maintain. I highly recommend him. In fact I already recommended him to my sister's church because they need their HVAC and Furnace system checked because they might need a new equipment. This is one of the few places around that actually operates as their name states- Affordable Air care. Not only are they affordable but the service is top-notch which is also a unique combination to find these days. The unit we had installed in our home was very small and aging and on it's last legs. We were able to get on their calendar the same week we called. On appointment day the team gave a thorough explanation of what they would do, estimate, and proceeded timely and effectively repairing our unit without it needing to be replaced! It's been getting quite hot in these recent months and I've been meaning to fix my AC. Last summer I didn't get anyone to come out to fix it and it was a difficult summer to say the least. This summer I didn't want to go through that again, so I Googled some companies that could come fix my AC. My heater stopped working and I used Yelp to find a repair person. I chose Affordable Air Care based on Yelp Guaranteed and the reviews. I called about 1:30 pm and Vitaliy came by my house 2 hours later. Vitaliy diagnosed the problem as a bad main circuit board. Vitaliy was at the Lennox parts store the next morning at 8:00 am and got the circuit board. By 9:00 am he returned to my house and by 9:20 am the heater was working again. read more

An open area, 1 bedroom, and a full bathroom, and as you may know, the top floor gets the hot Sacramento County summer heat! We were so pleased with Absolute Comforts Heating and Air's outstanding service, installation, and Pricing that In the fall of 2025 we bought a central heat & air system from them for our downstairs. Their customer service & pricing far exceeded our expectations. Each experience has been OUTSTANDING! The office staff, field technicians, & owner wee wonderful to work with with. Now it is February 2026 and we have been using the systems for several months & love them! Like anything new we had a couple questions regarding the downstairs units ductwork & the fan speeds. I called hoping a technician could come look at it. I had been putting off the call because most companies would only provide phone answers or charge for a technician to come out. Absolute Comfort came at no charge! Some additional details of our experience is below. I am limited to my number of words so had to remove some paragraphs. From start to finish and top to bottom they are Wonderful!!!! Absolute Comfort provided quality work and installed great products at the best prices (we had 4 quotes in 2025 and several quotes over the years, since our upstairs addition was added in 2002) - theirs was the best prices by far - and no cutting corners or sacrifing other areas to provided those prices. She asked me to wait and I could hear her talk about scheduling times she came back on the phone & said let's have our technician Jim come out and she asked when I would be available, and gave me a 1 hour appointment window! The day of the appointment Theresa called me the morning to let me know Jim was snowed in (he lives in the high foothills and there was a cold rain storm the night before - rain here, snow at his place. She apologized and said they really wanted to come today and asked if I was available in the afternoon James the service technician could come from 2-4 . I said yes. I was already home from work for this appointment - so yes this afternoon is Great! In the afternoon James texted to see if he could come earlier at 1:30. Yes again! When he arrived we talked about the duct work questions we had, then he put down a tarp explained that his ladder was went from all the rain, and the tarp would also keep the floor clean from attic insulation and dust. He went up in the attic and thoroughly checked the ductwork, plus took photos. Then showed them to us when he explained his findings and answered our questions. Turned out the duct work was doing great & we felt much better seeing the pictures and hearing what was going on. We asked about the system fan speeds which he answered and showed us on the system wall control. All at no charge! This exceptional service Absolute Comfort provided is why I am writing this updated review. We are sharing our knowledge and experience that we feel Absolute Comfort Heating and Air is the HVAC business to use. That is why we bought both systems from them and highly recommend them for your heating and air needs too!

well, it was going to be another Hot day...105 or more. Saturday morning, we both noticed the air…read morewasn't as cool as it has been. I went outside to check the compressor and it was not working. We kept hearing like a buzzing sound and it was coming from the compressor. The company that installed our ac unit retired and another company took it over. So we called them. They said they would not be able to come out until four days later. I agreed but kept on calling. I called Patterson heating and air and had to leave a message. But, not to worry, right? It says the will return our call within three hours. I kept on calling. Next, I contacted Arctic Air. The lady that answered said she could have someone out later that afternoon, between three and five. Of course, I jumped on this. A couple of hours later, no, it wasn't Patterson, it was Arctic. They said a service team could be out there within a half hour...this was 2 and a half hours sooner than I was originally quoted. I wish I would have gotten a name...but the team came, I showed them what I thought was wrong and in 15 minutes...the system was working and they were gone. Now if this isn't service...what is? I called the first place to tell them my ac was repaired and wouldn't need them. Arctic told me that a four day wait was not out of line. And I understood this. I knew with the heat wave we were experiencing, there would be many households calling for help. Oh..and Patterson? They called two days later...and said that they were returning my call that I had made the day before....NO Patterson, it was two days before!

They did eventually take care of finalizing the permit for me like I requested. It took a long time…read morewith multiple attempts and I had to escalate this to the Better Business Bureau, the state licensing department etc in order to get their attention and for them to take care of this. If they had just taken care of everything right away like they should have, I would have updated my experience rating to 4 1/2 star.
