Ranch pasta salad with stuffed red peppers and spicy olives. So yumm!!!
    Danny C.

Probably my favorite sandwich shop in Bakersfield. The deep pit always hits with that salsa. I usually also get red stuffed peppers and some ranch pasta to go along with. Prices are what you expect, service always quick and the food is amazing. Great spot to go to

It's been a hot minute since I have been here. This time was a much better experience. I had a chicken bacon ranch, and it was delicious. My daughter ordered the spicy chipotle. We were happy with our choices, and will definitely return. 11/22/25

This place is definitely a hidden gem in Bakersfield! I got the Caesars special and it hit the spot! They also have awesome wine selection.

    My smoked turkey sandwich!!!

Even here a few times! I've only had the smoked turkey sandwich but it's always amazing. So clean and flavorful! Really decent prices! Today I got the side of macaroni salad and it was also pretty good! The store is always clean! The only knock is the staff isn't very friendly or maybe but just not in my visits!!

I have been coming to this location for the past 15 years and they are hands down my favorite sandwich in all of Bakersfield. Caesar's deli has quality meats you can taste and their flavors here are so good! There are two sandwiches here that I can not reccomend enough, the Caesar's special and the deep pit beef sandiwch. Both sandwiches are a 10 out of 10 and are so damn good! Of course the special is a cold sandwich and the deep pit is a hot sandwich so keep that in mind if your looking to order. This last time I went with a deep pit and that sandwich is HUGE. Packed with so much flavorful beef and the bbq sauce that is paired with this sandwich is amazing. I was so full when I was done eating, for $11 bucks, not bad at all. Overall, make sure to give this place a try. They are a Bakersfield Staple and it shows in their food. Thank you Caesars deli for all th years of great delicious food, I appreciate you guys! Till next time.

Red Potato w/ Bacon & Blue Cheese

Their sandwich was great! I loved the bread and fresh ingredients. I could've used a little. Ore oil and vinegar, but maybe the bread would've gotten soggy. I definitely think they know what they're doing! The red potato and blue cheese salad was really good! It had red onions, blue cheese, and had a great bite to it, a couple of the potatoes were underdone, but it was still enjoyable. It was very busy, but the food came out fast! I loved looking at everything they had for sale such as meats and cheeses, can't wait to go back and shop! It was inviting and cute. My husband was disappointed I didn't bring home the pickled tongue. I'll have to post about that in my next review!

    Waiting for my CYOS.

First time here... The place is really cute on the inside, and they offer some Italian specialties, like desserts, pasta, and tomatoes apart from the sandwiches and other foods. I wasn't sure what to order, however I had a specific sandwich in mind. I wanted something with Mortadella and cheese. The staff at the front counter was very friendly, and I told her that it was my first time in here, and asked her if there was such a thing where I can create my own sandwich. And she said that there is and it's called a CYO. I ordered a mortadella and smoked Gouda cheese sandwich on a toasted sesame hoagie roll with lettuce, mayo , and oil and vinegar. Was sliced on the thicker side, not the thin, deli style, which I love you! It is very good quality and very tasty. The cheese was not that great, so I took it out of my sandwich. They must make their own bread here... Because it was amazing. It was soft and crispy on the outside, and on the inside is very soft and fluffy and soaked up the mayo and the oil and vinegar nicely. The sandwich can be easily shared if you're looking for a snack and if you're hungry, it's quite filling. They do not skimp on the meat!! Because the bread is fresh and thick, the sandwiches would hold up pretty good on a road trip. Enjoy!

We went at 5:00 on a Friday and it was already busy, but we were seated within a few minutes. The basket of bread was plentiful and the butter was soft enough to spread. My only complaint was the two girls at the front desk and the male who took us to a table. The girls were not friendly or welcoming and acted like it was chore to find a table for us. When we got to the table I asked if we could have a booth, which several were open, as we had are two special needs sons with us. The guy looked at us disapprovingly and radioed the girls to see if it was possible. A waiter was walking by and told us to take the booth right by the table. The guy looked put out that his authority was overridden and walked away without a word. At least we didn't have to deal with him or the girls the rest of our dinner. As we were leaving I asked if the pamphlets of the counter were takeout menus and one said "yeah" with a smirk. Neither said anything else, not thank you, have a nice evening, or anything else. It was a great dinner and I'm already looking forward to going again. Thanks Elliott!

Their vegetables are made right. They don't consider it something just to toss on your plate. They are al dente and so great. Their Linguini pasta with shrimp, scallops, clams and mussels in a tomato basil marinara sauce is my favorite and they have the best salads and desserts. It is a must stop in Bakersfield. The pasta was very al dente, something neither my daughter nor I are used to and now that we have tried al dente I can say I we are not fans. Shrimp scampi was a tad salty and oily, but the shrimps were cooked to perfection. Nothing special about the desserts. I am a huge fan of carrot cake and tiramisu and both were very underwhelming, especially the lemon tiramisu. The raspberry tea was good. The coconut shrimp were good. The egg thingy with peas was surprisingly delicious the flavor was there and it was cooked to perfection. The white pasta sauce was very bland. I have to admit the seasoning on both the chops and the steak was beautiful but it just carried too much char flavor and as I said meat was tough. Would I go back? Yes, I would give place another chance. Too bad my baby has gone back to Virginia for her next deployment.

I am not Italian, but I felt very offended that anyone would pass this off as authentic. Firstly, the garlic bread- picture the smallest loaf of French bread possible, sliced up with tiny pieces of cheese melted on it. Where's the garlic? At least it was soft I guess. But the biggest insult was the chicken Alfredo. It was like they just cooked the noodles, chopped up a microwaved piece of raw chicken, got some sauce from the supermarket and called it a day. You can see exactly how bland it looks in the picture I provided. Oh, but it gets worse- not only was the sauce flavorless, but the chicken was undercooked. Service was super quick, friendly vibes all around, restroom was clean, and the restaurant noise levels were good enough for us to still have a convo. My only suggestion would be to grill those big ol shrimp at a higher temperature, the charred flavor would have really turned that pasta into an A plus.
