Ranch pasta salad with stuffed red peppers and spicy olives. So yumm!!!
    Danny C.

Probably my favorite sandwich shop in Bakersfield. The deep pit always hits with that salsa. I usually also get red stuffed peppers and some ranch pasta to go along with. Prices are what you expect, service always quick and the food is amazing. Great spot to go to

Even here a few times! I've only had the smoked turkey sandwich but it's always amazing. So clean and flavorful! Really decent prices! Today I got the side of macaroni salad and it was also pretty good! The store is always clean! The only knock is the staff isn't very friendly or maybe but just not in my visits!!

Their sandwich was great! I loved the bread and fresh ingredients. I could've used a little. Ore oil and vinegar, but maybe the bread would've gotten soggy. I definitely think they know what they're doing! The red potato and blue cheese salad was really good! It had red onions, blue cheese, and had a great bite to it, a couple of the potatoes were underdone, but it was still enjoyable. It was very busy, but the food came out fast! I loved looking at everything they had for sale such as meats and cheeses, can't wait to go back and shop! It was inviting and cute. My husband was disappointed I didn't bring home the pickled tongue. I'll have to post about that in my next review!

I have been coming to this location for the past 15 years and they are hands down my favorite sandwich in all of Bakersfield. Caesar's deli has quality meats you can taste and their flavors here are so good! There are two sandwiches here that I can not reccomend enough, the Caesar's special and the deep pit beef sandiwch. Both sandwiches are a 10 out of 10 and are so damn good! Of course the special is a cold sandwich and the deep pit is a hot sandwich so keep that in mind if your looking to order. This last time I went with a deep pit and that sandwich is HUGE. Packed with so much flavorful beef and the bbq sauce that is paired with this sandwich is amazing. I was so full when I was done eating, for $11 bucks, not bad at all. Overall, make sure to give this place a try. They are a Bakersfield Staple and it shows in their food. Thank you Caesars deli for all th years of great delicious food, I appreciate you guys! Till next time.

    Waiting for my CYOS.

First time here... The place is really cute on the inside, and they offer some Italian specialties, like desserts, pasta, and tomatoes apart from the sandwiches and other foods. I wasn't sure what to order, however I had a specific sandwich in mind. I wanted something with Mortadella and cheese. The staff at the front counter was very friendly, and I told her that it was my first time in here, and asked her if there was such a thing where I can create my own sandwich. And she said that there is and it's called a CYO. I ordered a mortadella and smoked Gouda cheese sandwich on a toasted sesame hoagie roll with lettuce, mayo , and oil and vinegar. Was sliced on the thicker side, not the thin, deli style, which I love you! It is very good quality and very tasty. The cheese was not that great, so I took it out of my sandwich. They must make their own bread here... Because it was amazing. It was soft and crispy on the outside, and on the inside is very soft and fluffy and soaked up the mayo and the oil and vinegar nicely. The sandwich can be easily shared if you're looking for a snack and if you're hungry, it's quite filling. They do not skimp on the meat!! Because the bread is fresh and thick, the sandwiches would hold up pretty good on a road trip. Enjoy!

They went in, stayed in the car. They came back and told me it would be a 30-minute wait, so I said fine. Well, when they notified me the table was ready, I went in for the first time. There were two girls at the desk; they looked at me with blank faces, never greeting me or asking how they could help. I proceeded to tell the young lady that I got a message saying my table was ready. She never looked up. She then told the other girl to seat them at table 5, then said no, seat them at table 3; at this point, there was still no proper acknowledgment, which was very rude. The waiter, a ginger, male had a great personality the whole night. Now, I must say the other problem was the seating; I had a family of four and was seated in a two-sitter booth. Besides that, the food was great, with no complaints on that end. Because of the waiter, I just shrugged off my experience with the front desk. I went next door and purchased some cheesecake for the kids and called it a night. But today I returned and brought my two nephews, so I sent them in to see the wait, and they called me and said a table was ready. They were already seated when I arrived, so I walked in, and at this point, there were four girls at the desk. I said hi, "My two nephews have just been seated." Still, no smile, no "let me take you to them." I mean, not one of these girls took the time to properly address me. The young lady responded and said, "Straight down that way, you'll see them." So, I had to seat myself. At this point, my daughter arrived and came in. She told one of the girls at the desk, "I'm meeting my mother and my two cousins," still with a blank face. So, she called me and said, "Mom, where are you seated?" | had to guide her in. Once again, the waiter was awesome, the food was great, so we wrapped up our lunch. I proceeded to exit, and as I was walking past these same rude girls, I heard one of them say, "Yeah, girl, he's rich." So, I turned around, and three of them were looking at me, one hanging off the desk back turned facing The girls didn't even have the audacity to turn around. I tapped her on her shoulder and asked, "What is your name?" She said, "Jasmine." "Why?" I said, "Thank you," and proceeded towards the door. I went next door and purchased cheesecake, which I walked in and Alicia greeted us with a smile and helped us out very professionally. Now, I'm writing this review because I will not return to your establishment after today's experience. Whoever trained these young ladies needs to put them back through training. At this point, I'm not sure if they realize that they are the first person customers interact with, which could literally make or break the experience the customer has. They should always have a smile on their face and always properly greet each and every customer. I mean, you could walk into Subway, and they would even say, "Welcome to Subway." I've worked in customer service, and they need to understand they are the first face the customer sees. I was shocked at the behavior and personality of your front desk, and that was enough for me to throw in the towel. I will not be returning to your establishment for these reasons, not because of the food, not because of the waiters, but because of the faces you have at your front desk, which is not welcoming an very rude

We loved it so much, not only did we dine there, we ordered a bunch of food to go and drove it home to heat up and eat the next day. The next day food was just as great as when we ate there. It just has wonderful dishes. Founder by Nick Uricchio, and his son Steve they opened Uricchio's Trattoria, clearly a family affair. Sadly, Nick died some time ago. He was the nicest guy and always had a smile on his face. His nick name was Papa Nick. He always said hello to the customers and was just a doll. Go in his honor. It is just as great as when Nick was there. Steve is usually there to greet you and he is wonderful. Uricchio's Trattoria offers a great selection of appetizers, soups (a must) and entrees to satisfy anyone. They have fresh seasonal dishes prepared with care from Executive Chef Raphael Hernandez who has been there forever I think. Parking is easy. Make a reservation, you want to do that. It gets crowded. We have been there without one before and loved sitting at the bar and eating. Anything with shrimp is great. All of their pastas are great. We loved their spaghetti and meat balls. Their vegetables are made right. They don't consider it something just to toss on your plate. They are al dente and so great. Their Linguini pasta with shrimp, scallops, clams and mussels in a tomato basil marinara sauce is my favorite and they have the best salads and desserts. It is a must stop in Bakersfield. I know, to many locals this is probably unimaginable for someone who has called Bakersfield home for almost 20 years, and let me say.. I get it. I now understand the hype. From the delicious food to the way they make you feel like family with their impeccable yet personable service, it is no surprise this over 115 year old local family business has won over the hearts and minds of Bakersfield and those who visit. Our warm welcome: We didn't check the hours beforehand, and showed up at 2:30, which is their closing time, like complete chumps. Never the less, every person in both the deli and restaurant insisted for us to come in and eat. The owner, Gino, was one of the many friendly faces who greeted us and ensured us it was no problem. This was very kind. I don't like showing up within the last hour before a restaurant closes, let alone the literal time they close. The kindness and welcoming approach in which everyone insisted we stayed, made me know they truly wanted us to have the chance to enjoy an amazing lunch with them, and amazing would be an understatement. The service was down right impressive. Our server, Chris, was incredibly friendly and attentive. Arguably the best service in town. Now let's get to the delicious food: Everything we ordered was top notch, but the truffle sachetti "pasta purse" completely stole the show. They are now a forever must as a shared appetizer or main dish. Though I do very much look forward to jumping around the menu and coming in during their daily and seasonal/popup specials I've seen on their social media. The phenomenal ambiance: The atmosphere is something out of a Billy Joel song, a compliment I am sure I am not the first to give. The inside is decked out wall to wall with old family photos and Bakersfield memorabilia. As it was a nice day, we sat outside in their beautiful shaded area with a very nice outdoor bar I wouldn't mind coming back to pay a proper visit. Needless to say, while this was my first visit, it won't be my last. I look forward to the taste of the truffle sachetti and the warm, welcoming atmosphere Luigi's provides.

The lunch rush is pretty much their hours of business, start to finish. Although there's lots of seating, both interior and a party-atmosphered patio, the wait can be lengthy. Speaking of "lengthy", expect to spend a couple of hours here, including the wait for a table, eating your meal, and spending time in their shop. The food is hearty and delicious. A "small" personal antipasto plate shows up at your table shortly after you sit. There are so many delicious-sounding things on their menu it's hard to choose what to order (I had one of the best tasting steaks I ever had here) They serve dishes I've only seen here, like the Sacco beans (which are also sold in their shop) What I can see after eating here a few times is that they offer a marriage of old school Italian-American with local Basque influences and personal family touches. Luigi's is strictly a daytime lunch affair. They are opened Tuesday through Saturday, but only from 10:30AM to 2:30PM. That's it. There is no dinner service. The area -- Old Town Kern -- can be-- okay, IS -- sketchy, even in the daytime. There is plenty of parking; lots are scattered in the restaurants vicinity, but Luigi's is so popular and they're only opened for lunch so you get a full days number of customers in the span of 4 hours. That said, a trip to Bakersfield practically demands a visit to Luigi's. IYKYK and if you know you'll go.

But the biggest insult was the chicken Alfredo. It was like they just cooked the noodles, chopped up a microwaved piece of raw chicken, got some sauce from the supermarket and called it a day. You can see exactly how bland it looks in the picture I provided. Oh, but it gets worse- not only was the sauce flavorless, but the chicken was undercooked. This place would've got 5 stars but the whole get up and get it yourself was a huge deal breaker. I ordered off the menu that was offered but I had seen online they do offer different food, so maybe after certain hrs they shut kitchen to just finger food. I got the bbq bacon burger with garlic fries and a side of onion straws. Burger 10/10 perfectly cooked, well seasoned and good size for the price. Garlic fries were ordered with NO SALT and they got it right 10/10! Onion straws also ordered with NO SALT and they got it right 10/10! Ranch 10/10. I ordered a drink called Hazelnut Chi Chi 100% 10/10! The only issue I have with the drink is that the menu says $11 but my bill showed $12.50, that is $1.50 they did not mention prior to me ordering the drink. As I mentioned after receiving my second drink and turning atound to return to my table my FOOD WAS GONE! My bartender did take care of me though so shout-out to the young man wearing the tuxedo shirt. He got my order remade to go. Other than being super loud because of live dj it is a cool little spot to have some awesome food. I do recommend and I will go back. P.s. they have rewards so don't forget to sign up.

We came here the other night during a weekday and tried their DIY pasta special…read more The server recommend we try the pesto mixed with the alfredo, so we took his word and yup he wasn't messin around! That combination was fire. We ordered one with shrimp and penne, and the other with chicken and linguine. I also upgraded my adult beverage to a non-alcoholic drink, the raspberry no-jito to be specific ~ He offered to change up the fruit but I love raspberries so I ordered it as is. It actually contains zero proof spirits, so it does sort of taste like alcohol vs just some juice mixed with soda. It was actually refreshing so I'd be down to try the other flavors on the next visit. Service was super quick, friendly vibes all around, restroom was clean, and the restaurant noise levels were good enough for us to still have a convo. My only suggestion would be to grill those big ol shrimp at a higher temperature, the charred flavor would have really turned that pasta into an A plus. Other than that, we had a cool experience and we'll be back!
