Super chill spot, a lot of people showed up to order for lunch. The service is great, very friendly. Okay about the food... idk why anyone would think to put mustard on an Italian sub or even on a deep pit sandwich. I feel on love with the Italian sub from L.A. and I am trying to find a spot here in my hometown and im coming up short. Yes the meat and cheese were good, but the bread is too thick or they just don't add the EVOO. Like I mentioned idk why anyone would add mustard to a deep pit sandwich bjt to each their own. I will say I highly recommend asking them to go EASY on the mustard as you can clearly see in pics they go HEAVY lol. I have never had pickled tongue but one of the sandwiches they carry is called a combination sub and it was in my opinion better than the classic Italian. Overall I can see why this place is still around. Good bang for your buck but I have to continue my mission on finding a great Italian sub.

We absolutely love this place. They have the best sandwiches and the staff is amazing too. On this visit we got the Venice and hot grilled chicken sandwich. All I can say OMG this was good. I love the grilled chicken sandwich. I add pepper jack cheese to it and man oh man it's good. The Venice is a cold sandwich and is so good too. They cater as well and have a small case where you can get pickled tongue and a few different pastas. Not every location has the grilled chicken though and they should because it's really that good.

Great hole in the wall family deli. Lots of goodies a available here, if you just want lunch there are delicious sandwiches, If you want to get dinner for the family there are to go trays of pasta, if you want something for a group you can order party and sandwich trays. The service is warm and friendly and the interior has some casual seating. I got the tritip sandwich and my friend got the combination. Great soft bread and tense flavor meats. Highly recommend!

If you like big meaty sandwich this is a great spot for you! I had the Roma sandwich and it was pretty tasty and filling. I also had the splash clam chowder yum! Placed my order over phone and when I got there it was ready.

Two Caesar specials to go as we head to the LA Kings game. This is my hubbies favorite sandwich. Always fresh and yummy!

We went at 5:00 on a Friday and it was already busy, but we were seated within a few minutes. The basket of bread was plentiful and the butter was soft enough to spread. My only complaint was the two girls at the front desk and the male who took us to a table. The girls were not friendly or welcoming and acted like it was chore to find a table for us. When we got to the table I asked if we could have a booth, which several were open, as we had are two special needs sons with us. The guy looked at us disapprovingly and radioed the girls to see if it was possible. A waiter was walking by and told us to take the booth right by the table. The guy looked put out that his authority was overridden and walked away without a word. At least we didn't have to deal with him or the girls the rest of our dinner. As we were leaving I asked if the pamphlets of the counter were takeout menus and one said "yeah" with a smirk. Neither said anything else, not thank you, have a nice evening, or anything else. It was a great dinner and I'm already looking forward to going again. Thanks Elliott!

We loved it so much, not only did we dine there, we ordered a bunch of food to go and drove it home to heat up and eat the next day. The next day food was just as great as when we ate there. It just has wonderful dishes. Founder by Nick Uricchio, and his son Steve they opened Uricchio's Trattoria, clearly a family affair. Sadly, Nick died some time ago. He was the nicest guy and always had a smile on his face. His nick name was Papa Nick. He always said hello to the customers and was just a doll. Go in his honor. It is just as great as when Nick was there. Steve is usually there to greet you and he is wonderful. Uricchio's Trattoria offers a great selection of appetizers, soups (a must) and entrees to satisfy anyone. They have fresh seasonal dishes prepared with care from Executive Chef Raphael Hernandez who has been there forever I think. Parking is easy. Make a reservation, you want to do that. It gets crowded. We have been there without one before and loved sitting at the bar and eating. Anything with shrimp is great. All of their pastas are great. We loved their spaghetti and meat balls. Their vegetables are made right. They don't consider it something just to toss on your plate. They are al dente and so great. Their Linguini pasta with shrimp, scallops, clams and mussels in a tomato basil marinara sauce is my favorite and they have the best salads and desserts. It is a must stop in Bakersfield. The place is beautiful.

I was visiting my parents in Bakersfield two weeks ago who had never been to uricchios and I couldn't wait to take them to dinner there! I called ahead the day before and made reservations for myself, my mom and dad, and my husband. We sat down and the place was empty on a Saturday, just a couple tables occupied. My mom ordered a Cesar salad and it was warm! We waited an hour and 15 minutes and our food never came out. No one came and gave us an update but we kept getting sent numerous appetizers "on the house". Sodas were watered down. Bread was mediocre. Finally after an hour and 15 minutes we got up and left. Whatever was happening in the kitchen was not a good sign! They appeared to be struggling despite being not busy at all. I have never been more disappointed in a restaurant, my husband and I had to get in n out on the grapevine for dinner. I was so embarrassed that I even recommended for my family and my husband to do a dinner at uricchios, much less RAVED about it. I'm so sad what has happened to my favorite bakersfield restaurant, but all good things come to an end. I won't ever be back

The deep fried ravioli with the dipping sauce is delicious, not going to lie. My steak was a tough. The pasta was very al dente, something neither my daughter nor I are used to and now that we have tried al dente I can say I we are not fans. Shrimp scampi was a tad salty and oily, but the shrimps were cooked to perfection. Nothing special about the desserts. I am a huge fan of carrot cake and tiramisu and both were very underwhelming, especially the lemon tiramisu. The raspberry tea was good. The coconut shrimp were good. The egg thingy with peas was surprisingly delicious the flavor was there and it was cooked to perfection. The white pasta sauce was very bland. I have to admit the seasoning on both the chops and the steak was beautiful but it just carried too much char flavor and as I said meat was tough. Would I go back? Yes, I would give place another chance. Too bad my baby has gone back to Virginia for her next deployment.

It was actually refreshing so I'd be down to try the other flavors on the next visit. Service was super quick, friendly vibes all around, restroom was clean, and the restaurant noise levels were good enough for us to still have a convo. My only suggestion would be to grill those big ol shrimp at a higher temperature, the charred flavor would have really turned that pasta into an A plus.
