My fiancé and I finally made it in today after a few attempts (they're closed on weekends), and wow... totally worth the wait! We're always on the hunt for a new downtown gem, and I think we just found our spot. I went with the egg sandwich stacked with bacon and Vermont cheddar--hands down one of the BEST egg sandwiches in Greenville. Seriously, other places need to take notes. My fiancé ordered the French toast on sourdough (genius move, by the way), and it was incredible. The sourdough gave it a perfect twist, and the fresh fruit on top made it next-level. We rounded it all out with a fresh-brewed coffee and a matcha, both just as good as the food. Cozy vibes, delicious food, and drinks that hit the spot--what more could you ask for? read more

An eclectic cafe off of a side street in downtown Greenville SC, the wife and I had breakfast here the morning we left. She got a classic bacon, egg and cheese while I got turkey, avocado and egg with blue cheese crumbles. We both opted for the optional sourdough bread ($1.05 upcharge per sandwich) and I think it was some of the best sourdough bread I have eaten, Sorry honey no offence to yours, but she did agree with me on that! It was very good all though I could have used a few more blue cheese crumbles on my sandwich, The owner was friendly and we got talking about the music playing which sounded like some very old blues and he told us it was some very old Fleetwood Mac who started their career as a British Blues band before Stevie Knicks and Christine McVie joined the band. Such a great spot. Owners are so kind and friendly. The cafe itself is cute and quaint. You can tell they have a lot of regulars that come here. Coffee was delicious. Cafe West was wonderful. I look forward to coming back. I had the club on sourdough with a side of the chicken tortilla soup. It was all delicious. The staff were attentive and friendly. They have plenty of seating inside and two small tables outside. The street parking out front is 1hr parking and I was able to easily get a spot. Loved Cafe West. Seems like a small cafe that is beloved by the locals, saw a lot of folks in suits swinging by on their lunch breaks for a bite and I could see why. It's the type of spots where you order at the counter and they bring your food out to you. Server at the counter was a young girl who gave some good recommendations on the food, you could tell she was passionate about the place. I opted for the Turkey, Bacon and Havarti sandwich, swapped out the apples and added some spicy mayo. Also had to get a cup of the chicken and wild rice soup, very flavorful and creamy, almost thought it was a cheddar broccoli soup when it first came out. The sandwich itself was incredible, perfectly toasted bread and a put together combination of turkey and bacon, easily one of the best things I ate during my short stay in Greenville. My partner got the Vermont Cheddar Sandwich which she also loved. Small cafe, but they do have tables and some high tops for seating, find one shouldn't be difficult. Will absolutely be back when I return to Greenville. read more

I like Methodical. I like Underground. But I love Cafe West! Can't believe this beautifully inspired place has been only opened for five weeks. The owners, Scott and Jamie, have such an amazing concept going on. The vibe is amazing, from cool music to stylish, chic decor. Be sure to check out the bathroom. Both owners are so amiable and you can strike up a conversation with them or other patrons easily. If you get really lucky, Marisa will be your cashier. She is a charmer. Scott is the chef and he does an amazing job in the kitchen. Blue cheese, avocado, and Turkey sandwich for the win! Can't wait to take my husband to this spot. read more

Delicious lunch spot! The Club sandwich on local sourdough is wonderful. I loved their apple butter dijonaise and avocado added to it. Only thing that wasn't my favorite was the Tomato Soup - I prefer it blended, not chunky and the flavor was bland. Will be back though! read more

So glad this great little business opened up on Coffee Street. It is the perfect spot for lunch, and Scott generally has a wonderful special of the day, which is always easy to order. He has been making soup to gear up for the fall/winter, so be sure to stop in and try some. I've never had anything there that I didn't love, and where else in Greenville can you go and order lunch, then add a drink for only $1???
