Sadly, this is kind of the only place around here to get a rice and bean bowl. Every time I visit a Cafe Yumm, I wish it were a Whole Bowl instead. Their bowls are OK, lots of options, but feel small for the prices. $14 for a 'large' bowl with no protein that doesn't even fill me up. I usually go for the Hot n Jazzy, which suffices, but I have to add a lot of sriracha or tapatio. Their Yumm Sauce leaves a lot to be desired. It tastes chalky to me. And the base for it is just blah Canola Oil. Kinda gross. Service has always been friendly, though they have these new kiosks where you can type in your own order. We usually get the grain bowls to go, but there is a calm place for dine-in seating. I love the Jazzy Yumm! bowl. Since I get it to go, I am not sure if they serve food hot. Service for ordering depends on the staff, but it is nothing out of the ordinary. Still, this is tasty filling food that is healthy adjacent, and is a go-to place for us. read more

I have been eating Cafe Yumm for a *very* long time (like almost two decades). This is our home location, and they're the best and we order from them all the time (shout out to the Keizer location being our other favorite). They have the nicest employees, it's tidy and kept up, great for take-out or pleasant to dine-in, the portions are what they should be and they rarely make mistakes (and we always have orders with modifications). I've always appreciated this particular location for being quick and dependable, hiring people of all abilities in the past, and always being friendly to my kids. It's our go-to for a quick, yet satisfying meal in a hurry. (Also, love picking up giant bottles of the sauce to make bowls at home!) Cafe Yumm as an entire business smashes it out of the park in terms of vegan offerings and modifications. I only wish they had a vegan kids bowl with avocado or tofu in place of cheese or chicken, and wish it was a little cheaper (there is no way a small or medium would ever fill us up and we loooove to add the seasoned tofu so it can ends up a good chunk of of change for a bowl), and my husband really misses the wrappits -- but overall, definitely in my top 5 for favorite fast takeout options in the area! read more

I'm just never coming here again. Used to love this place and then the food quality just went down after the pandemic. It would often come out cold, and several times my tempeh (which they no longer serve) would be undercooked and cold. I decided to try it again hoping it would be good this time. Café Yumm is Café Yumm--the food is always consistent. What really makes the experience better, though, is good customer service and getting the orders right. I've had issues with this location in the past, but over the last three visits the manager on duty seems to have turned things around. The staff greets you as soon as you come in, is very friendly, and appears consistent about handwashing when moving from the food line to the salad prep area. Cleanliness and customer service are top priorities for me when eating out, and this location has been doing a much better job. read more

The Portion size is a joke!! I just paid for an overpriced large bowl (VERY small portions). Chipotle bowls are way bigger then the large bowls here. It's Cafe Yumm! They make an amazingly delicious Yumm sauce and toss it on a variety of different bowls. The portions are modest, so as an adult man, I usually get a large and find that very filling. I love their sauce and appreciate the relatively healthy lunch offering. read more

The initial walk in to this location was exciting. Everything looked cleanly and had a earthy feel to the restaurant. We ordered food for four people. 2 adults and two kids which came to $55, which initially was not an issue. The portion sizes are crazy small for the prices that you pay. I ordered one of the cafe yum bowls and everything was so cold! It took quite a bit for food to come out as well, there was no sense of urgency. Major appreciation for this particular Cafe Yumm location (Sunnyside). It's really close to my house so my husband and I go there often. The food is consistently tasty, and the employees always friendly and helpful. I have Celiac Disease so not only do I have to avoid eating gluten, I have to worry about cross-contamination. These Yumm employees always take my allergy seriously and prepare my meal carefully so I don't get sick, which is above and beyond what most "fast food" places would do. Sometimes they get lunch rushes, but it's always worth a few extra minutes. read more

Ordered a medium original to go. When I arrived home to eat, the bowl was only 1/2 full - which was more like paying for a medium but getting a small. I couldn't believe the bowl wasn't full like in previous times I had ordered from this location. Not sure if their manager has changed but someone should continue to check portion size as it is greatly disappointing to order & pay for a size you do not get. The ginger cookie was also soft & not fully cooked. It is great having this restaurant nearby but the food quality has greatly deteriorated. I will not return. I paid for a medium Yumm baby to go. I normally check my order but I did not because I've never had issues with a cafe Yumm franchise. When I got home and ate my bowl, I saw that it had only been filled halfway. That's ridiculous! It feels like theft because I paid for a medium and received the portion of a small--if that. What a great location staffed by some nice people. Having had the pleasure to eat at a Cafe Yumm! in the airport, I was pleasantly surprised to see one on the street. We pulled in and walked inside. The location was extremely clean, and the place was packed so I was a bit surprised to see how clean it was. We ordered and joked around with the lady working the counter - then went and had a seat waiting for our food. An incredibly gracious and nice Ege TLR man brought out our food and offered his service if we needed anything else. Being lactose intolerant - I ordered a dairy free spicy Yumm bowl with chicken. My food was delicious - though the chicken does taste as if it is a prepackaged item. The rice was cooked to perfection and the sauce was pretty damn good! I've always had really good experiences with Cafe yumm, I mostly just order to be delivered on a recent occasion I did go into eat only to realize my medium bowl that I normally get was the same size as the small and the large that two of my coworkers ordered. I was a bit disappointed that everything was pretty much the same size so I'd much rather go in and pay for a small if I'm gonna get a small instead of paying for a medium or a large and pay the extra money. But I had extended weights for my food, even though they already had the order done, and the employees were already made aware that the order was finished and I was Standing directly in their line of sight, but I guess they just kind of forgot me and didn't want to provide me my order. I am not sure if portion sizes have changed or ingredients have changed but... we ordered online from the website and picked up in store. My medium smokey yum was half full "maybe" or less in the medium container. It was not in a large container, it was the correct size container just not even half full. It was just rice, a spoon full of chili and 1 piece of avocado. No yumm sauce, no olives, no cheese... It was gone in about 5 bites. My daughter got a small original and again, the small little container was maybe half full. There was no yumm sauce, olives or cheese again on hers either. This is NOT how we ordered it. She ate her yumm bowl in about 4 bites and then needed another dinner because it was a laughable amount of food. My other kiddo got the teriyaki chicken bowl which had about twice the amount of food that our bowls had and she loved it. So at least one of us got an actual dinner. For $30 we won't be going back. I grew up in Eugene and having been eating cafe yumm since their original store opened. This is super disappointing, I wish we would have taken pictures but we were starving and in a hurry which is why we ordered take away in the first place. read more

My Manager suggested I not order from the Yumm and defiant as I am, I did anyway. I loved how I could customize my meal picking and choosing what I wanted to eat and not having to toss out those ingredients that I'd never have chosen. What a sweet deal! So I pick red beans and avocado, crunchy noodley noodles, extra olives, chicken and Jasmine Rice. And then that's when things went a little south - I don't know what's in the Yumm Sauce so I take a chance with it. I"m hoping there's nothing I'm allergic so I give them my parameters and ask if they contain dairy or soy or egg to leave it off. Apparently it doesn't contain those ingredients so there it was but I still don't know what's in it and frankly it wasn't really all that great tasting to me. The crunchy noodley noodles save the salad but now I know next time to leave it off. The ingredients where flavorful, fresh and delightful. I did buy a bag of the noodley noodles on their own with the intention to snack on but oddly alone they aren't that appetizing (again to me that is) so I will use them on salads, in soups and on the next Yumm I order again. And I will be ordering again - it was that good. read more

2nd update: It's a year and a half later and the food seems to match the quality of the other Cafe Yumms in the area. The staff was courteous. The food arrived quickly. It tasted good. It's a big improvement over the last time I got good here and I've upped the star rating as a result. read more
