We came during lunchtime (which was really busy). After going through line to get our lunch, we searched for a clean table to be seated. Other than that, I enjoyed my 2 combo lunch of salad & soup. The Nuts about Berries Salad was very good & fresh tasting. My lunch partner wasn't into anything healthy, but he did enjoy the sandwich.

I've been eating at Zupas for a while but this Eagan location is horrible. My soup is not filled like it should be and the mango berry salad I ordered, got absolutely no berries (some of these extra blueberries came from my fridge). This was also the second time this has happened to me at the same store. I saw the worker purposely dump out more fruit from the spoon she was using and I am beyond unsatisfied. For paying $14 for just that, was a complete ripoff and I don't think I will ever be coming back this location.

I adore fresh ingredients and unique selections. Imagine how tickled pink I was to see this joint on Door Dash, with 40min left to order, after our flight was pushed back a day. I hurried through the menu, made selections, changed them, changed them again & eventually ended up with 2 try 2 combos, 2 desserts and a water. Combo 1: Cuban & pumpkin chorizo soup - hubs was beyond satisfied. The soup was particularly tasty and appreciated on a chilly NYE. Combo 2: Chicken enchilada chili and cobb salad. The soup was, again, divine. Not overly spicy, instead opting for well developed flavors. The salad, my absolute can't pass it up if I see it, cobb salad... well, formed chicken from a place that clearly prides itself in fresh ingredients took the wind out of my sails. Added negative, (or is it subtracted?), he boiled egg had the vinegar taste you get at the continental hotel breakfast. Otherwise, a delicious salad - the greens were bright and crisp, bacon crunchy & not greasy, with a zesty salad dressing to round it off. The bread for dipping is a nice touch. My husband noted that it was soft and chewy. The already dripped strawberry is a brilliant sweet treat to wrap everything up. We ordered desserts but were too full to eat them. Hello breakfast! Delivery was FAST. Hot food was hot and cold food was cold. The packaging is thoughtfully designed to keep everything in place and intact.

Ordered food from here for the first time. Everything tastes so fresh, the portions nicely large. I got half salad half soup and it's awesome!!

High quality attentive staff that prepared my food very well. Again, staff seems to actually care which is rare.

The turkey cran sandwich was very disappointing. Love zupas usually but this sandwich was nothing like it's described.

I'm thirty if this helps give you an idea of what I'm talking about. Service was a bit slow and we were sitting for a while until our server showed up. Their menu has some Asian twists which I was excited for. They also have wood fire pizzas if you like that. I don't go to restaurants for an overpriced pizza. I go for main course entrees that I'm hoping to get a wow from. We tried the chicken wings as a starter (only thing is that it came out with the entrees). The wings had a burnt flavor with a slight Asian twang. The hot mustard dipping sauce cleared my sinuses and tasted sorta like horseradish. It didn't pair well with the wings to me. For the main courses we tried the orecchiette and the grilled whole fish. The orecchiette was boring and needed more of a sauce. The grilled fish was also boring and was just a fish without any sauce. Is this a thing? I feel like fish needs a little more something. And for $55, I'm wanting a really good fish. The main courses don't come with sides, so you order separate sides that are larger portion "to share". The smoked potato purée was weird and I don't think smokey potatoes should be a thing. Overall, we didn't like any food item we tried or the vibes.

Next we shared a steak, and a pasta dish. The steak was very flavorful, and tender. The pasta included mushrooms and braised short rib (and more). It had a wonderful depth of flavor, and I would have it again in a heartbeat. We closed with olive oil lemon cake. Again - perfect. Let's talk service. That was a disappointment. Our server was not having a good evening. Some of our food was not as she represented. Also, our food came without serving utensils. Our steak was served as two big hunks, as opposed to being shingled for sharing. After mentioning these things to our server, things got decidedly chilly. Our server only swung by at light speed. She was pretty testy and unpleasant. No thanks for coming in or have a good night. I'd go back, but if I was given the same server I'd ask to change that before proceeding. Go and enjoy the good food!

No fuss, no flash--just bold flavors, warm service, and bowls that feel like a hug from the inside out. We ordered the chicken tinga and southern fried chicken bowls, and honestly? They were everything. The chicken tinga was smoky, tender, and layered with just enough spice to wake up your taste buds without overwhelming them. Every bite felt intentional--like someone in the kitchen actually cares how your day is going. The southern fried chicken bowl was pure comfort. Crispy, golden chicken with just the right crunch, nestled into a bed of rice and toppings that balanced richness with freshness. It's the kind of meal that makes you slow down and savor. And the patio? A total gem. Spacious, relaxed, and perfect for soaking up a sunny Minnesota afternoon. Whether you're catching up with friends or just enjoying a quiet solo lunch, it adds a whole extra layer of joy to the experience. The staff were kind, the space was welcoming, and the whole visit felt like a reminder that good food doesn't have to be complicated--it just has to be done with care. If you're in Eagan and need a reset, a pick-me-up, or just a really good bowl of food in the sunshine, go to Lago. They'll take care of you.
