So the tiramisu spot is Cafe 2BY2, and I believe they do serve food, but honestly, we didn't go for food. We went there for one reason and one reason only: tiramisu. My mom knows I love tiramisu, and she had been wanting to take me because they have so many different flavors. Of course they have the original, but they also have pandan coconut, passion fruit, matcha, lychee, and a bunch of other flavors. And yes, I did post a picture of that display case because it is so cute and looks amazing. The whole spot is really cute and quaint. Definitely one of those places where you can sit in, chill, do some work, and just enjoy yourself. I love anything cutesy, honestly, so I was already sold. For drinks, my mom got the Dalgona coffee, and I got the pink guava latte. Both were really good. The coffee was made really well -- smooth, balanced, and just really enjoyable. Now for the star of the show: the tiramisu. Baby... that tiramisu is a HIT. I got the jasmine matcha pudding tiramisu, and my mom got the pandan coconut. Mine was so light and fluffy. You could taste both the jasmine and the matcha, but neither flavor was overpowering. Sometimes matcha desserts can feel too earthy or heavy, but this was perfectly balanced. It gave exactly what it needed to give. My mom's pandan coconut was really good too. You could definitely taste the coconut, and it was just really smooth and well done. One thing I thought was super cool is they actually have this little menu book that breaks down each layer of the tiramisu and explains what's in it. I meant to take a picture of it because I thought that was such a thoughtful touch. And what I loved most was how light everything felt. You know how sometimes you eat dessert and immediately feel heavy and lowkey guilty after? None of that here. It was light, airy, flavorful, and satisfying without feeling like too much. You could actually savor it and enjoy all the different flavors without it being overwhelming. They also have a full coffee and tea menu, so there are definitely more drinks I want to go back and try. And yes -- they take cash, which y'all already know I appreciate because cash is becoming rare these days. The service was really great too. The young lady working there was super sweet and really helpful with explaining everything and helping us choose. Overall, I loved it. A cute little tiramisu-themed cafe in the East Village area! Although execution didn't quite live up expectations/the hype, I still enjoyed their desserts. I wish there was a multi-flavor flight option because I was struggling to decide between multiple flavors but ultimately ended up picking 3. My favorite was the pork floss one because I love a sweet-savory combo. I was surprised at how generous they were with the pork floss and how well it complemented the cream. Definitely reminded me of the Ando dessert but without the mochi component. The matcha one was a little disappointing because the matcha flavors weren't prominent at all, and if anything localized to the top where the powder was. Wish the cake component was more moist. The chestnut earl grey was better than I thought! The earl grey tea flavors weren't too prominent but present and contrasted with the nutty and sweet chestnut flavors. The cutest cafe with amazing decor and ambiance, so aesthetic. The cakes were such a unique idea and flavor I wanted to try them all. Got the peach lychee cake which although the lychee tasted quite bad/unfresh, the cake tasted amazing with good light subtle flavor and creaminess and freshness. The pistachio berry cake was likewise amazing although more berry than pistachio flavor. The mango pomelo $10 was a hit for my friend who loved mango as there were mango fibers in it. The pink guava milk tea $7 had lots of tiny guava pieces which wasn't desired by me or my friend but the drink did grow on us. Overall it was good but not the place we'd likely come back as it does run a bit pricey/not as worth/lived than some other places I'd frequent. There were a variety of tiramisus to choose from. I tried the coconut pandan and the portion was generous yet too sweet where I could not finish it. I just happen to be in the neighborhood and craving a Matcha so I decided to check this place out. It's honestly so cute and I am so excited to have found this little café! You order at the counter either with the barista or you can order ahead or on a screen. You'll find that there are many tiramisu options as that's their specialty, however, they also have different lattes, teas and even savory things to eat such as spaghetti. I did not really understand what was in the Matcha drinks, but decided to order an iced coconut cloud Matcha. I wish the menu items had descriptions in English below, as I did not realize that this drink would be made with coconut water, but on the bright side it was refreshing! You do have to use your straw to properly mix the Matcha foam at the top into your drink, which ended up making a pretty big mess. There are plenty of places to sit, a restroom, and free Wi-Fi. This place has cute indoors and ample of seating. I liked the quiet atmosphere and even noticed most people doing quiet activities like studying or reading. Ordering is really easy, you can seat at a table and order desserts and drinks with your phone. However, there is also staff at the counter if you want to order with them. My only disappointment is that they advertise their desserts as "tiramisu" when they are really not. They resemble more sponge cakes than tiramisu because they are not made with ladyfingers (they use cake instead) and I can taste they use heavy whipped cream instead of the traditional tiramisu recipe that uses whipped eggs. Sometimes me dumb. Like when me go to cake place with friends and miscommunicate what to get. Then we get 5....yes, 5...tiramisus the size of paperback novels. Then me turn into bloated me. It bad. But for realsies, I'm not totally mad about our impromptu cake tasting. It was the fastest, easiest and most gluttonous way to experience what Cafe 2BY2 was all about. The Durian Soybean ruled supreme with its moist pungency. That's right, moist pungency. Get this unless you hate durian. Then don't get it and ask yourself why you were born with shitty tastebuds. We unwisely (i.e. stupidly) ordered taro twice: The regular Taro Mochi, which was as light, earthy and purpley as taro always is. And the Seaweed Pork Floss Taro, which is the glow-up cousin to the Taro Mochi--AKA taro with better hair. The Pandan Coconut was the easiest crowd pleaser because only dictators and despots hate the combination of grassy pandan and rich coconut. The latter was stronger, unfortunately, but that's often the case. The Earl Grey Chestnut was the weakest of the bunch, as it neither tasted like earl grey nor chestnut (except for that weird fettucine frosting that Asian chestnut pastries always seem to come with). I'd skip this if you love bergamot or chesty nuts. Wash down your ill-gotten booty with the refreshing Gardenia Lemon Tea or the heavier, richer Strawberry Matcha. You can't go wrong either way. Throw in the cute, floral, antique-y decor and ample seating, and you've got a surprisingly stellar dessert cafe/bar to go for after-dinner hangs when you're not feeling like ingesting ethanol. Might come back when I've learned better ordering skills. And lost some of the last tiramisu weight. read more

Haven't dined in but done takeouts twice! The tiramisus we've gotten were the durian (for my family since they love durian), the peach lychee, strawberry and the mont blanch lookalike. Overall our favorites were the peach lychee and strawberry. They all had a great fluffy texture and didn't feel heavy at all. The portions they serve are huge given the price point so I would say it's affordable. Looking forward to trying the other flavors they have! read more

I've come by a few times for a sweet treat after eating nearby! I like the bright and clean interior -- always feels like a cosy place to spend time chatting and eating yummy tiramisu. My favourite tiramisu here is the oreo mochi tiramisu. I love how well the cookies-and-cream flavour of the oreo mixes with the original coffee/mascarpone flavours of the tiramisu. The layer of mochi, while not very prominent, does add an interesting chewiness to the cake, which is nice. Overall really delicious and not too sweet. I've also had the magnum crispy chocolate tiramisu, which was less well-received. The flavour seemed pretty uninteresting, and execution was a bit strange -- it's really hard to eat/break the hard chocolate shell when it's on top of a soft dessert. Price point is definitely on the high side (around $15 a slice), but probably worth an occasional splurge (esp if you get the oreo one hehe). read more

I've heard so many reviews about this Asian tiramisu cafe, and have been wanting to try it for the longest time! I came on a sunny day and it was PACKED in here. They have a kiosk where you order at and once you've ordered, you choose a table to sit at. The staff brought our tiramisu to us, while we had to pick up our drink order at their counter. I got their peach lychee tiramisu and their matcha coffee latte. Their peach lychee tiramisu was SO good.
