Lamoone is AMAZING. soooo delicious, definitely one of my favorite new spots. we had the thai tea and pandan cheesecake which were both incredibly tasty. and a hojicha coconut drink, which was refreshing and the right balance of sweetness (not overly sweet). the atmosphere was great, very calm and relaxed. great spot to stop by solo or with a friend or two and chat for a while. the owner was such a kind person and a joy to talk to. you could really see how much love and care he put into the shop as well as the food. 10/10 read more

Delicious gluten free cheesecakes. Tried the sesame and ube and both are excellent. The sesame is from Japan and they roast and grind them themselves for the best flavor. The owner is also the sweetest lady ever. Good amount of seating inside with cute decor. I'll definitely be back to try all the other flavors. read more

Oh goodness we have been trying basque cheesecakes everywhere (ktown) and turns out the best one was in Chinatown!!! The girl at the register is very friendly and we tried all the cheesecake flavors. We initially just bought drinks and would come back a few hours later to purchase cheesecakes for the ride home. The drinks taste so natural and healthy. There is no added sugar, make sure to mix the drink! The foam was perfect, we just didn't realize we had to mix until we were almost done with our drinks. For cheesecakes I bought the sesame for the family of aunts and for the first time in my life they loved a cake I bought for them. They usually complain that all the other cheesecakes were too sweet, but this sesame one is perfect for the older generations! Can't go wrong with any of the cheesecake flavors, because we tried them ALLLL. 100000% would return! read more

This store was soooo cute. The decor and everything felt extremely elegant which made me want to stop by. Starting off, they have a lot of flavors from Pandan to Taro to Sweet Potato and even Kombucha (Japanese Pumpkin). All of these flavors did make it hard to choose which cheesecake to grab but the owners (I believe) were so accommodating and offered free samples of whatever cheesecake we wanted to try. We chose a couple of flavors and they added a couple themselves as well which made the choosing process so much easier. We did enjoy quite a few flavors because they were all pretty light but decided on Pandan (their top seller) and Red Bean (limited edition for Chinese New Year). Another thing that I really liked was the fact that they have 3 different sizes so we ended up getting 2 smalls to go. The cheesecakes themselves are organic so they only last for 7 days! On top of this, we decided to try one of their drinks from the Coconut cloud series. This was sooo addicting because again, it was not too sweet and overpowering but instead so refreshing. The Peach syrup they used was purchased from Japan and the coconut water was natural so there wasn't any added sugars. I just wish they had one of these locations in queen because I think they would make great gifts and I would love to be able to grab some more for myself as well! read more

The only type of cheesecake I'm a fan of is basque cheesecake, so I was interested to try the Asian flavors from Lamoone. The owner was super friendly and welcoming, while explaining their origin. I was able to sample the pandan, ube, and seasonal sweet potato cheesecake flavor. All of them were fantastic! We ended up ordering the 2 mini cheesecakes ($10.50 each) and Butterfly Pea Flower Tea ($7.50). Cheesecakes had a good flavor and was not too sweet. I've never had Butterfly Pea Flower Tea before but it tasted like sweet Chinese herbal tea. This is a small café, where up to 8 people can sit comfortably. There is of course the original version in its namesake city, viral versions across most of Türkiye, and renditions across all of East Asia. Visiting Lamoone was my first time trying a SEA take. All the flavors we tried were excellent, including the pandan and the ube. Unexpectedly, my absolute favorite was the vanilla - when I told the chef this, he nodded knowingly, saying that they pride themselves on the quality of the vanilla beans they use. Is this what it feels like when a person walks into a first-class anything? What it feels like to walk into a brand name store? The customer service here definitely made me feel rich and special. Top notch. My coworker and I was given a sample of all flavors before being told to make a decision. Meanwhile, they made sure to tell us where everything was imported from and showed how much trial and error it took for them to present us with the options we currently have. To start off, I am chinese so of course my very first compliment is to say that they are not very sweet. Just the perfect amount of sweet. They are also very smooth, like having mousse. The signature madagscar vanilla custard is a really good classic one that you cannot go wrong with. Its so rich in flavor. The basil was the most surprising flavor they have to offer. So unique. Upon hearing the flavor, I expected it to be overly floral -- pungent, but it was not. It was just enough to make a scene without overwhelming you. Definitely give it a try. Family favorites include the ube and black sesame. Very strong flavors. I feel like I need to compliment the black sesame more because I have been to many dessert places that just cannot seem to get the flavor out. I just learned they also have a red been and I can bet that my family will love that too. So smooth. I personally am not a fan of the texture of biting into individual beans and they have eliminated that for me. It's become so smooth that even most smoothies cannot achieve it. It shows that they took great care to sieve it through and through for perfection. I felt like the pumpkin (kabucha) was also a special one because I personally like to eat Japanese pumpkin but only when it's prepared a certain way. I usually see people use the western pumpkins in their menu so I was excited when I saw this one. My dad is a fan and apparently my daughter is too. She finished it all by herself. The taro is very subtle but I feel like that is just how real taro are like. The fact that they were able to keep that taro essence despite it being naturally unnoticeable while changing up the texture is pretty cool. Their thai tea and matcha are strong enough to be good without being overwhelming. They recently had me try the chocolate and espresso flavors. The chocolate was good but it did not feel all that special. I bet my daughter would love it though. I really liked the espresso one. A coffee-lover's must-try. Unfortunately they do not have it all the time. They said even their coffee goes out of stock a lot too (hence they cannot make more of the cake). They also let my coworker and I sample the pandan coconut cloud. So good. It is refreshing and not too strong in flavor. It will 100% be a hit during the summer time. I cannot visit too often though because my wallet cannot support me enough. Trying to save it for special occasions (at least the cakes). read more

I inadvertently stopped in right as they were opening as my friend (who doesn't normally like sweets) RAVED about their cheesecakes. I ordered the Velvet Ube Latte iced and tried the Madagascar Vanilla, Pandan, and Ube cheesecakes which were ALL phenomenal! The Pandan was definitely my favorite, but the Ube was the softest of the three. I especially love how everything is delicately sweet and not overpowering. The owners were quite kind as well! I enjoying talking with them and learning about their shop which had actually opened last winter. All ingredients are imported as well. The cafe itself is a bit small, but the created atmosphere absolutely makes up for it. Will definitely be coming back when I return to the city! read more

So glad I stumbled upon this wonderful addition to the community. The owners were so kind, we arrived after closing and they still allowed us to purchase a small cake and try a few samples before they headed home for the night. I love that the cheesecakes were on the 'less sweet' spectrum (still delicious and sweet as a basque cheesecake should be, don't get me wrong) and were light compared to others I've had which always feels so heavy in the stomach. A major plus is it's all organic and gluten free which is rare to come by. Will definitely be coming back for the pandan next! Look forward to their seasonal flavors as well! read more

We were able to sample the signature Madagascar vanilla custard, Chiang Rai Thai tea , the Ube purple yam and Ayutthaya pandan ...... the original was delicious but my favorite was the Ayutthaya pandan.
