Since the Yelp event many moons ago, I've come back probably bi-weekly, if not weekly, and usually purchase 8-10 sponge cakes at a time. My family loves them. This will be the very first time I walk into the iconic cake shop. I always wonder about the places that are named the best. After all, it's subjective. For me, this is the best spot for spongecakes. The translation is literally paper wrapped cake and they really nailed the recipe here. It's not the usual cup shaped cakes but it's a flatter, wider version. Highly addicting. The sponge cake itself is SOOO soft and has great flavor (as described). If you go early you might be able to grab a fresh one - this is totally worth it. They are hot and there is a slight crust/crunch to the top exterior which doesn't retain once it's cool down and put in a bag.
