Absolutely delicious food and wonderful staff and owner. We got two omelets, one with home fries and one with a mixed salad with two sides of turkey bacon and everything tasted perfect. The home fries were seasoned well, were buttery AND crispy and not at all dry. The omelets were well mixed and the goat cheese in one of them was phenomenal. Turkey bacon is cut thick and delicious. And additionally, the owner brought out his personally made whiskey hot sauce and famous M&Os BLT sauce for us to try and we were immediate fans. The hot sauce is a great mix of hot spice and warm flavor, you can really taste the vinegar used in the process even, and the BLT sauce was a perfect pairing with the home fries with a surprise dill after taste. 1 star is still too high of a rating. Their check in offer, if spelled correctly, is not accurate. What do you receive with your visit? Free disappointment. I ordered a coffee and corn muffin with butter. My friend ordered the fresh squeezed orange juice and french toast. The coffee was beyond burnt, tasted as if it was brewed days ago and left to sit, fester, and be reheated in the microwave. I prefer my coffee black or with a splash of milk. I needed to add extra milk and some sugar to be able to swallow 3 sips before I surrendered it to the grave. My muffin, which I expected to be home made, was clearly store bought, very small, and of low quality (and expensive). It gave dry a new definition. The butter is unsalted. That may not be an issue for everyone, and I understand it being healthier, however this should be stated on the menu or they should offer you the option of salted or unsalted. Personally, unsalted butter belongs no where near me. I tried to add some table salt which resulted in no good outcome. At this point, I refused to try my friend's french toast. It didn't appear fully cooked and looked very "egg-ie" - not appealing to my tastes, truly borderline on runny. I did try his orange juice, which only added to my disappointment with this establishment. First off, it was WARM, more so than room temperature and not served with ice. Additionally, there was a ton of pulp, skin, and the stringy white insides. It could have used a strain before being glassed. Pulp isn't my favorite, but I do expect some in fresh squeezed. My one sip was as if they put the whole orange, skin and all, in a processor for less than 30 seconds. When we were seated, our table was still sticky from whomever last occupied. Service was exceptionally slow, and there was only 2 other occupied tables. The place looked clean, however the restroom looked as if it hadn't been cleaned in weeks, which in turn made me wonder about the kitchen area. I work nearby and decided to get lunch here with a coworker last week on Thursday. There's a lot of issues I saw when we sat at the counter. The hostess/waitress is really nice but she and the old lady cook do not communicate well (English is lacking). It's evident the cook does it her way only. She makes each order one at a time. She complete an order before she checks the next ticket. Another issue I saw was the cook burned the toast for a BLT order and still use the blacken toast for someone order as if there was nothing wrong. My coworker ordered a burger and I got a taylor ham and egg sandwich. While the cook was making the BLT she didn't throw down the beef pattie. The burger didn't finish 10 minutes after I was done eating my sandwich. The total for the burger, my sandwich and two mexican coke was around $18 without tip. Looking for a brunch spot with bae and came across this cafè going through Yelp. It's right off the Garden State Parkway on a main road. You have to park on the street for parking. The store is easy to spot from the street. Walking in, it looks like most cafès with the menu displayed on the wall and you have your option to sit up front or seated at a table for four. Their menu was pretty basic but I decided to try their Eggs Benedict with your option of meat. Bae wanted to get a sandwich but since it wasn't past 11 AM, that option wasn't available; he ended up going with a bacon, egg and cheese sandwich. Good came out at a decent time and we were not impressed with the food. There was way too much hollandaise sauce and the English muffin at the very bottom was greasy. For the sandwich baè got, it was a pretty empty sandwich with just the bare minimum. There wasn't that much meat. The sandwich option also didn't come with a side. The one thing that was good was the side of hash browns that comes with the Eggs Benedict...but that was it. Found this place on yelp this morning. In search of a new years day breakfast, our regular local LOVE (pinhos bakery) closed for the holiday lead us here. Located just a ten minute ride from our door, we were hopeful with ALL the great reviews. The atmosphere is really nice. Very relaxed and clean EVERYTHING. With only a counter for seating and a few tables this is not the place for large groups. I did however like the fact that the grill is located directly behind the counter seating, so you can see your food prepared. The waitress was VERY friendly, however it's just her and the cook. When we arrived there was one other couple there, by the time we left there were 3 patrons at the counter and two tables full. I believe one more person on the wait staff and at the grill might be a better fit here. After waiting at least 15 minutes for our food, I'd say it was average diner cuisine. My husband enjoyed the peasants omelet, toast and hash browns. His only REAL complaint was there weren't enough potatoes. I ordered eggs over easy and only half of one yolk was runny. Miss on the eggs, the fries were tasty and the sausage patties usual. The show stopper for me, was the pancakes. DELICIOUS. Should we return here for breakfast, I'll likely order the pancakes. They do offer a lengthy menu of sandwiches and have lots of healthy options too. I just wish it was faster service and the food was cooked as ordered. Best breakfast in town!! I had the omelette with veggies and cheese and it was amazing. The cheese wasn't too over powering and the veggies were just right. The omelette was big enough that I had some left overs. It came with potatoes that were seasoned well and the whole dish was not salty! I'm not a breakfast person but since coming to this place I will def be eating breakfast here again! The prices were cheap and when we went it wasn't packed. I ordered the green goat platter, but the goat cheese wasn't exactly plopped on top like in a previous photo on yelp I saw. Wish they were a bit consistent. No parking... had to park in the neighborhood and walk. Then the it changes to AC blowing cold air on our necks! When we asked if we could have it adjusted back to hear we were told "the manager likes to control it from home!" Wtf? The waitress said she would check for us anyway. She came back with "yeah he's not able to adjust it". We were like, so you don't like to care for your customers? It is stereotypical Jersey which stinks cause we usually are able to find good places in jersey for breakfast and based on the 4star rating, we hoped for something more than less than average. Third strike was I wanted a waffle breakfast sandwich that wasn't on the menu but there was a great looking photo of it here on Yelp from 14 days ago. Do Not Come Here If You're Hungry! My experience today was thee worst. Slow service where we sat down and waited 5min to be given a menu. Then 10 more minutes for someone to take our order. My favorite is the Marco Bronco Omelette - $6.75 for a huge omelette with toast [your choice] and either home fries or mixed greens salad ! The food is fresh, delicious, and unpretentious. Coffee variety is great and they often come around to top off your cup. Today I noticed they are now carrying almond and soy milk. If this place was in Union Center, it would easily have lines out the door. I typically come on Sunday's for breakfast so I can't say much about the rest of the week.
