It's $8 for the drink alone but it does have dairy in it, I opted for oat milk $1 more and it was $1 to add the boba, came out to $10 a little more on the pricer side. It had a weird plastic taste to it or the water they used was bad tap water. The Thai tea was not sweet or creamy at all and the brown sugar assam tasted a little burnt. First time at this location and love it! We've been going to the Porter Ranch one for a while now since it's opened. They have great flavors and mixes! This was my first time trying their Thai Tea and it was incredible. I am always worried about the Thai tea having too much cream and barely any tea but this place does it perfectly! Talk about CHOICE PARALYSIS! The menu looked so yummy and it took so long to decide what I wanted. When we walked in the server offered us a sample of liquid gold at 50% sweetness and wow was it good. The store has a light feel to it and the music isn't loud at all, which I personally loved. Their drinks are so sweet. I can make 3 drinks from the sugar concentrate they put in one. I asked the guy for no sugar and then when I asked him if I could buy lychee on the side he wouldn't let me buy it to adjust my sweetness. He said they didn't sell it on the side. Pretty decent boba place! We came on a Saturday evening and it was empty with the workers just talking with themselves. We had a hard time ordering because there was so much to choose from! I typically know what type of flavors that I like and I thoroughly enjoyed my caramel cream drink. Was sweet enough to curb my typical sweet tooth after dinner but not too overpoweringly sweet. My boyfriend however did not enjoy the dirty ube drink, it was a weird, bitter flavor and barely tasted of either ube or coffee, so it was a dissatisfying experience overall. Happy that SCV got another quality boba shop! For the longest time, I veered away from boba places because I felt like it catered more towards teens and young adults. It was perfect for me because I can still taste the cold brew which is smooth and bold, yet taste the slight coconut and the earthy ube. It is one of the best ube cold brew lattes that I have had! Normally I drink my cold brew black but this drink was light and refreshing. And it gave me the jolt i need to drive home. They have a small area for cute merchandise from tumblers to keychains. Pastries are also available but for me, the drink is enough for me to enjoy. Interior is bright, modern, floral and sleek. It is small and there maybe four to five tables. Teaspoon has been open for about a week now with their grand opening happening just Yesterday. I've stopped by 3 times so far and I'm a bit torn. On all my visits service has been great. Cashier and baristas are super friendly and attentive, but I will say, it gets pretty slow when they are busy. Of course, I fully understand it's "only" been a week and they're still working out the kinks, but as an outsider it seems like they could use an extra one or two sets of hands. Aside from the grand opening day, they had two baristas making drinks and it took 15-20 minutes for my order to be prepared. On my first visit I tried the Ube Coffee something or other, I believe it was a special and not on the regular menu. The drink looks beautiful but once you mix it, the coffee is so strong that it takes away any ube flavor. You're left with just a sweetened coffee with a subtle taste that can't really be distinguished as ube. The coffee itself was still good but wished it had more ube flavor. On grand opening day we tried three drinks - my favorite of all the drinks is the Lychee tea with Lychee jelly. A bit sweet, sort of bitter, it's almost like a Taiwanese style sweet tea and I loved it! The we tried the assam tea which, to explain it plainly, it's essentially a milk tea. Good but nothing crazy. And the last drink was the taro boba with taro chunks. The taro itself was velvety and lightly sweet but the taro chunks were pretty big and somewhat dry even after soaking in the drink. They aren't quite bitter but just bland like pasty potatoes, maybe more for an acquired taste. And the last two drinks I tried are the Thai Tea and Matcha Royale with oat milk. The Thai tea was fantastic and one of the better Thai tea options in the area. The matcha however came out really bad. I'm not sure if the matcha wasn't brewed or mixed well, maybe it was a bad batch, or maybe my choice of oat milk threw it off, but it was overly bitter and "forresty" in flavor. Now, I love a good, strong, bold green tea but this just did not taste right to me. I won't mind trying them again and definitely hopeful for better experiences but at least I've found a few drinks I enjoy so far! read more
