Cafe Aquarius was amazing!!! There is a great view of the Colorado River it's actually incredible and they have amazing specials;;; although, the server we had was the total opposite. He spilt coffee on our table and didn't bother to bring extra napkins or a towel to clean it up, he refilled my soda pop bringing the refill back while his hands were wet with soda that spilt and soda dropped from his hands into my ranch and onto my plate (eew gross ) he seemed very rushed and uninterested. It's very unfortunate. The host, and ladies at the check out were great but our server not so much. Maybe it was just the server we received. Hopefully they're not all messy such as he was. I will be back with hopes we get a better server next time, we also really enjoyed Aquarius as a whole so thank you Aquarius hotel and casino. Our next stay will be here. You have got to do something different when it comes to Café Aquarius. The current line and food service situation is absolutely atrocious and does not come close to the way this café was run for so many years. Removing room service from the café and closing off half of the dining space has significantly changed the experience for guests. People are on vacation, they are hungry, and they should not have to stand in line for an hour just to get food. No one wants to wait an hour standing in line when they could be enjoying their stay. It is very disappointing to see how far the café has gone downhill. Café Aquarius should be an enjoyable and convenient part of staying at the Aquarius, not a frustrating experience that leaves guests waiting and wondering when they will finally get their food. Please consider making meaningful changes. Open the entire café like it used to be, bring back room service, or implement a reservation/ordering system that actually manages the crowds. There needs to be a better solution than expecting guests to stand in an extremely long line for an unreasonable amount of time. We have enjoyed staying at the Aquarius, but the current café experience is taking away from the overall quality of the stay. Please listen to your guests and fix this before Café Aquarius becomes something people simply avoid. We would really like to see the café restored to the level of service and convenience it provided for so many years. read more

Could I Give Minus Stars? This is THE WORST restaurant I have ever been to. Ever. The sad part is: if you can EVER get seated, and EVER get your food, it's actually great. And if what now I was reviewing, was the food I would give it many stars. But what I'm reviewing right now is the abysmal wait time to be seated, and the even worse service or lack of, that you get once you are seated. If you are brave enough to give this abomination a try, good luck to you. You have been warned. My husband and I went to eat at that café on a Friday at 2:30. It was after lunch, before dinner and the restaurant was relatively empty. We walked up and there was one gentleman in line before us. This should be easy, right? After about 10 minutes, the cashier walked over, asked the gentleman how many in his party ....he explained there was one, and she said follow me. A good 15 minutes, went by with us being ignored by every server, and every cashier ....a total of about 7 people ignored us. maybe more. By this time, there's a good 10 people in line behind us waiting to be seated. Now, for some odd reason, a lone woman came along and stood adjacent to the line. we were in ..... along comes a cashier, who I guess decided she was going to be benevolent, and asked the woman how many were in her party, she answered "1", asked us how many were in our party. We answered "2", and proceeded to take us both to be seated. Ignoring the fact that the people behind us had been waiting a good 15 to 20 minutes longer than the lady next to us that just walked up, but , whatever.... There was about 25 tables occupied, and about 10 servers. A good ratio of server to Diners.. They sat the lone woman first, and gave her her menus. Then they sat us next to her at the next table over, and gave us our menus. After about two minutes, a server appeared, took the ladies drink order and disappeared. Very swiftly the server appeared with the woman's beverages, took her food order and walked away. And there my husband and I sat, wondering what sort of thing was happening here. No drink order taken, no food order taken. My husband said we will give this five minutes to see what happens, after 10 minutes we got up and walked out. And I wish I could tell you, that this is unusual. And it was a bad day. And they were short staffed. But it wasn't. The restaurant had plenty of servers to diners, plenty of cashiers. They just do not care. And what this restaurant needs to turn it around, is to fire each, and every person that works there. If I were the general manager, or I was the food and beverage director, I would fire everybody in there from server to cashier. You could probably keep the cooks. I have no idea if they're quick or good or not because I rarely get my food. This needs to be turned around. And Until somebody steps up and puts a stop to this, this terrible, terrible service will be allowed to continue. Because I wish I could tell you this is the first time we have gotten this type of service. Or lack of service. But this same scenario, or something similar to this scenario plays out each and every time we give this ridiculous restaurant a try. There is always some stupid issue, never with the food, but always with the service personnel. My husband and I are epic players, meaning we are the highest level of card holders at this establishment. And so in theory, they should be taking better care of you, but we get the same abysmal service that anyone else does. On our last encounter here, things did not go as well as before. We were assigned a very grumpy waitress. In my Belly Buster Special both Sunny Side Up Eggs were a little runny, and the Ham Steak was a little tough. Hash Browns, however, were well cooked. We did a deuces wild- eggs over medium with biscuits and gravy, and the belly buster special- scrambled eggs with toast. Highlight of the meal was eggs - both styles cooked expertly. My wife and I were staying at this casino, the Aquarious Casino and decided to have dinner the evening we arrive and breakfast the next morning. In my opinion, just don't do it. Don't get me wrong, the place itself is nice. The view of the river is very beautiful. But it was the customer service and the food that just turned it from a thumbs up to a thumbs down issue. The older woman that friday evening manning the cash register, well lets just say was "Mental!". Mumbling and just being down right rude to customers paying their bills. The next morning, we ordered an advertised breakfast special (two of them). Yeah that was a bait and switch. Definitely not like the picture but much smaller. In addition, the eggs were cold, sausage patty was luke warm, the pancakes were cold, etc. And, it wasn't only our plates but several of the people around us as well. My suggestion, just don't do it. Cafe Aquarius continues to improve. The food is much better than years ago. We had the best service yet from Nancy, so professional, courteous, thoughtful, and fun. She had a fantastic attitude. We'll be back and definitely ask for her. The woman who took us to our seats didn't ask us about any preferences and gave another group a window table with vast river views. So I requested a river view. She seemed perturbed but complied. The table needed cleaning. We waited a moment. The food was quite good. This time we ordered the summer specials for America's 250th. The double patty cheese smashburger with steak fries was $6.99. I ordered the taco salad with no beans for $6.99. It seemed small at first but there was a lot of taco beef meat at the bottom of a tall tortilla shell. The meals came with coffee, tea or soft drink. Tried Cafe Aquarius and what can you say you get what you pay for. 1st thing service was good our waitress was nice and got the order right and checked in on us as well. The food is what you pay for your not going to some high end place its literally cheap eats they have specials going for breakfast and lunch and you can get meals for under 10 dollars with a drink. CAFE IN PROGRESS... Okay, so the food is not inherently bad here, my parents had some great meals (steak, salads, etc.) but mine was just meh. I ordered the chicken enchiladas as I'm sensitive to a couple of food items on their menu. The enchiladas felt more like nachos, again they didn't taste bad but it was weird. Now, the beans could definitely be improved, they tasted like Rosarita refried beans that you'd get from a can. When you're paying for a sit-down restaurant the level of food should match the location. Service was also lackluster as the waitress, although nice, was not very attentive. Additionally, the host at the front of the restaurant where you get checked-in was very rude and was scowling at us and other guests. He seemed borderline racist tbh, did not like him at all! I feel like they've revamped this restaurant recently and they're trying to work out the kinks. Wow! What an amazing cafe! My Mom and I are such creatures of habit. We come to Laughlin for a visit and immediately defaulted to Colorado Belle for lunch. But since Colorado Belle is closed now, we decided to give this place a shot. We got a table with the same view of the Colorado River we were used to at Colorado Belle's brewery, which is a view of the Colorado River. The atmosphere was so amazing! Our server and host were absolutely amazing, and the food came out fantastic! I cannot wait for my Mom and I to come back to Laughlin in January to give this place another visit. The food is so good and reasonably priced, and it is so clean and welcoming. I think I might even consider staying here next time we visit! read more

Service was fantastic was greeted first thing. The manager allowed us to sit up stairs due to my elderly mom. Thanks for being helpful it's always appreciated. I ordered the turkey special. The turkey was moist and flavorful. The meal came with mash potatoes and gravy along with some veggies. They also throw in a drink for $6.99. It was well worth the price. Came here with 2 friends for a late lunch early dinner after driving from Vegas. We all ordered the burger and fries. We did get a beautiful table looking at the river but that's where the good time ended. We watched people come in after us and get their food before us, no water was brought till after our food came. And total time from sit down to eating was an hour very terrible service the fries were all the broken crumbs from the bag and were barely luke warm. The food here really hit the spot -- classic, old-fashioned American comfort food done right. I had the biscuits and gravy (only $4.99 on special) and they were excellent. Big portions, tasty, and satisfying. Service was great -- friendly, efficient, and on top of things. The line was long, but it moved quickly, so the wait wasn't bad at all. It was very spacious inside. I think this used to be the buffet place. You can see the water from inside, which is always a bonus. Overall, simple, affordable, and delicious. STRIKE 3 !!!!! and this restaurant should be closed, sold to a new owner and reopened under new management. The management team of this restaurant and most all employees we watched while dining in after a 35 minute wait at NON PEAK hours last weekend are either lazy or not experienced. Service was good when you got her, it's very slow, typical casino cafe. Food deals at this moment, spectacular. $6.99 double smash cheeseburger with fries and a drink. Very good! Did not get the sauce which was a zangy thousand island, and that probably gave the burger all the flavor, without it it had zero seasoning. Sure , it's not a high-end, bougie place...it sure beats your regular Denny's and has better prices! Nicely situated by the Riverwalk, you can get a table looking onto the Colorado River and Riverwalk. The place is clean and while being large; is still quite cozy. Our waitress, Chelsea was FABULOUS! Checking in on us and making sure we are good. The food was great! I had one of their specials going on at the time: French Toast with 3 eggs bacon or sausage for $2.99. My eggs and bacon were cooked perfectly. My French toast was great! Crisp edges..soft middle. Not a fancy French toast, just a classic one. My husband had the corned beef hash breakfast. The corned beef hash had a nice crisp and the sour dough toast was large. My daughter had the chicken fried steak. That thing was HUGE! This experience was bad enough that I feel obligated to share it. We were staying at the hotel and decided to eat at the restaurant, expecting a convenient and enjoyable meal. Unfortunately, it turned into one of the most disappointing dining experiences I've had in a long time. To start, we waited over an hour for our food to arrive. I understand that restaurants can get busy, but there was very little communication or acknowledgment of the delay. After such a long wait, we expected the food to at least be prepared correctly. Instead, my order came out wrong, which was frustrating after already spending so much time waiting. The biggest issue was my steak. I ordered it medium rare, but what arrived was practically RAW. A medium rare steak should have a warm red center, but this steak was barely cooked and basically unchewable. For a restaurant that serves steak, getting the cooking temperature that far off is unacceptable. The service did not help the situation. Our waitress came across as rude and seemed annoyed whenever we had questions or concerns. Overall, the combination of an hour-long wait, an incorrect order, a raw steak, and poor service completely ruined what should have been a relaxing meal during our stay. There are too many other dining options available to justify spending your time and money here. I would not return and cannot recommend this restaurant to anyone staying at the hotel. read more

Been wanting to try this place for years, and with their "deal teaser" I thought why not. A lot of the reviews are mixed and I needed to see for myself. I will admit, I was going in to try their burger deal, The posters and bill boards look to good to be true. (get to that in a moment) We were gambling and booz'n it up on a Thurs afternoon and it was hotter than heck, so off we went. The place was not busy, and service was fast and polite, the place was spotless clean and we scored a table with a river view, although I had to ask. This is a must in my opinion, otherwise why eat here. The menu had plenty of goodies and priced moderately for a casino, gone are any deals on food since the kung-flu killed all of it. But we were here specifically to try one of their "deals" burger deal, drink, fries and a burger, (pictured in all of their advertisements a giant, juicy, killer looking cheeseburger!) I know, I know... for 9 bucks what did I expect, first off, cheese is extra, lame. Anyways, the burger was like out of a little kids happy meal or at a little league ball park, it was a tiny, frozen bit sized, barely bigger than a slider. Seriously, lol. It had flavor, sorta. Fries were fine, the drink was fine. But the burger, truth be told I coulda eaten about 4 of them without coming up for air. But hey, 9 bucks right. We were kinda hungry going in, so we ordered the 5 dollar tator tots to hold us over until the food came out, well don't waste your money, for 5 bucks I think there were 5 tots... tastey, but I coulda snorted them faster. I know this reveiw is kinda silly, but the service was fine, the place was clean, the view was killer, and we will be back at least once to try their other items in case its worth it. Staying in the hotel so I thought we would head down to grab a bite to eat before we head in for the night. The Cafe is located where the old buffet was located. It over looks the river with floor to ceiling windows. We arrived around 8pm and it was pretty empty. The staff was super friendly and the food was good for the price. It's a small menu, but the typical items a cafe would have are on there. The prices are pretty decent as well. Over all, I gave it 3 stars for needing an update, and for the smoke smell that lingers in from the casino. Tomorrow I will definitely try a less smoke traffic restaurant out. read more

We walked up, the only people in line. However, some customers were on their way out, and they had to pay before leaving. Unfortunately, the same person that seats you is the person that was checking people out. No problem, we can wait a minute. But then, another couple came up to pay, and then another, and another, as we stood there, me with my cane, waiting to be seated. She was very slow checking people out, and didn't seem to care one bit about us having to wait a long time. Finally about 10 minutes later, we were seated. There was an empty table with a beautiful view, and I had asked if we could sit there. She rudely said no, the table hasn't been wiped down yet and you would have to wait a long time. Just sit here, seating us at another table. We immediately ordered the $1.99 shrimp cocktails. They aren't too bad, but the shrimp are very tiny, little bay shrimp. The celery and sauce were good additions. She ordered a New Mexico style breakfast burrito while I ordered their $5.99 shrimp basket special. The shrimp were a little bit overcooked, and over battered. The hush puppies were nearly burnt, hardly edible. The fries were forgettable. There was a lot of gristle in the burrito, and the bacon tasted more like ham. Not terrible, but not great either. The interior was nice, I just wish we could have got a better view of the river. They didn't seem too excited that anybody was there, acting too busy to be friendly. read more

1/6/24 - This place has a good deal going on where for the price of $9, you can get a hamburger served with lettuce, tomatoes, red onions, and pickles all on the side; a soda or iced tea of your choice; and a side of fries. For my beverage, I got the iced tea, but unfortunately, it wasn't a sweetened iced tea. It did come with a lemon and there was sugar and sweeteners on the side for you to add into your drink if you wanted to. The fries were most definitely frozen fries, but they were still good and had a nice crunch and taste to them. The burger itself with the different add-ons was pretty standard. There aren't many people eating there at the cafe, so you're likely to be seated quickly. However, there aren't that many people working there, so that's where you may have to wait for someone to attend to you. Our waitress was nice and friendly. Usually with large parties, they're automatically forced to charge 20% gratuity, but she chose not to bill it and we ended up tipping her instead. There's an In n' Out across the street a few hotels down. The hamburger combo costs $7.55. If you don't mind the difference in quality, the convenience of being able to stay in your hotel and still get a similar deal for a couple dollars more is reasonable. read more

The prime rib was absolutely the worst we've ever had. It was so dry and chewy for all of us. We all had it cooked varius ways and we were all disappointed. We couldn't finish our meals. There were about 10 people ahead of us, but we could see that there were empty tables. The host seemed to be stalling as he took his good old time seating guests. Every time we thought our line was going to move, he would take the VIP's first. But he never checked to see if they WERE VIP's. There were two ladies behind us & (after 45 minutes), one of them marched up to the host & asked what the problem was. We were seated almost immediately. The server took our order. She brought salad & crackers, drinks, & appologied b/c the entree came too soon. Two breaded pork cutlets (not chops), potatoes, vegetables, rolls & butter. Way too much food for two. Our server said she couldn't and that we could request separate checks when we paid at the register.
