Unfortunately, we just decided to try this breakfast place as we were staying in the hotel. We would advise otherwise. Their food was plain, cold, and underwhelming. The pancake was tough and difficult to cut even with a fork. The fruit was old and did not taste good. The bagel was extremely plain and flavorless. The cream cheese didn't even help in this situation. The staff was nice and the food came pretty quick, but that usually is not a good sign as mass produced. My wife enjoyed her liver and onions but my hamburger was burnt. My coleslaw was good, however. We had to wait a bit after ordering. Our waitress was friendly and attentive. There were many entrees, plates, and menu items offered for modest prices. Perhaps we dined on a bad night. read more

Stopped by the Beach Café in Harrah's for a casual bite. I ordered the Monterey chicken sandwich -- it was just okay. The bun was actually really good (soft and toasted just right), but the chicken itself was a little dry and didn't have much flavor. Kinda bland overall. Service, though, was great -- super friendly and on top of things. My mom and sister both got burgers and said theirs were good, so maybe I just picked the wrong thing this time. Staying at the Harrah's so popped in here for dinner with the family. Vibe was a little off. When our waiter came to take our drink order we ordered some mocktails for our kids that they had advertised on a small drink menu on the table but when we did so our waiter literally rolled his eyes. We found later, it was because he thought they didn't have the ingredients to make it, which they did end up having and they were delicious! Regardless it set a weird tone for the dinner. The food is what saved the day. Now I've read the other reviews and can't speak for their whole menu but the country fried beef fritter was delicious! I got the breakfast version with eggs, hash browns, biscuit and gravy and my wife got the dinner version with salad and veggies and we were truly satisfied. We ordered the spaghetti and meatballs for our girls and they smashed it! All in all we enjoyed our meal just not necessarily our service. read more

Service was very good, we were helped quickly, and and food was hot and fresh. We ordered a burger, a chicken sandwich, the chicken parm, and a salad. The chicken was a little dry on the sandwich, and the noodles in the parm were a little over cooked, but prices were good and people were nice. The place is clean and it was quiet tonight, not sure how it is on the weekends. They have a great drink special on the special menu. Went here on a Sunday evening...got sat immediately. Server got our waters and promptly took our order, I appreciated that. Hub ordered the Chicken Sandwich with just the pepper jack cheese and fries, I got a side salad and a bowl of the soup of the day; Tomato. We waited quite a bit of time before the food arrived, so we were happy to find when it got there that is did not die at the pass. It was so completely fresh and I thought a great portion size for someone who is not a big eater. I think the price was a little too high for the soup and salad...the salad was quite small, but it was fresh...the blue cheese dressing was missing that blue cheese kick...next time I will order ranch. Another downfall is it is exposed to the casino floor and some numbskull inside who just could not wait to light up a cigarette before paying his bill, went just outside the window area and lit up. The entire restaurant dang near turned around and looked at him...but he did not care...kept blowing smoke INTO the restaurant and refused to step even a few steps away....i know this is not the restaurant's fault..but it was freakin stupid! read more

Because of the limited options on site at Harrah's, this is the only restaurant open for breakfast, and the water taxi service doesn't start until 9AM, I was relegated to dining here each morning of my just concluded four night stay. Food was inconsistent, sometimes good and sometimes not so much. It seemed to depend upon how hung over the cook was. Service too was inconsistent. I had one competent, on it waitress out of my four visits. Otherwise, staff just seemed to be more interested in socializing in the back, which you can hear from the dining room, rather than attend to customers out front. There was no apparent management in site at all. The restaurant is left to run on its own with no one directing operations and seeing that standards are being maintained. Step up Harrah's! Who's running things? This reflects so poorly upon you! read more

Food is beyond bland. Mushy noodles & little flavor. They serve meals on disposable, plasticky plates. Service was nice though.

Food was okay, nothing special. Ordered the eggs, bacon and toast plate which came with a side of hash browns. I can tell you that it's over priced just for the less than basic serving you get. Would have rather gotten the breakfast sandwich from the burger place that is inside the hotel BUT! Those small fast food spots don't open till 11am, I'm assuming this is for a reason. I'm sure they don't want to take away any business from their own cafe when the early birds wake up hungry. Ambiance is just like your regular Denny's, service was good. Room on improvement would be to either provide more portions or drop the prices a bit. As for taste, it wasn't worth what we paid for. Sorry Harrah's I hope this helps. read more

Ten years after my last review here, I returned with Diane, and we had a surprisingly superior dining experience. A Bowl of Chicken Noodle Soup was hot and filled with numerous pieces of peanut-shell-shaped pasta and a few tender chunks of chicken. A very good small Side Salad was actually large, and featured Iceberg Lettuce, cucumbers, large Grape Tomatoes, croutons and a smooth and tasty French Dressing. Two slabs of Old Fashioned Meat Loaf covered in Mushroom Gravy were excellent in taste, accompanied by Mashed Potatoes and a few al dente vegetables, including squash. The bare Mashed Potatoes were greatly improved by a bowl of gravy that I asked for. It was provided without charge, as was extra au jus for Diane to take home with her French Dip leftovers. She was very pleased with this sandwich. The only discordant note we experienced about our dinner was our server bringing all courses on top of each other. But the extra gravy helped keep everything warm for me. And our server was very responsive to our needs. XXXX-1/2 stars overall this time around! read more

Visit Laughlin two or three times a year and always eat at Beach Cafe. Have to say this is the first time that everyone in my party was disappointed in the food. Obviously the kitchen staff is new. They need cooking lessons. Could not even get hash browns and pancakes right. Hash browns were browned on top with a glob of like mashed potatoes below. I understand it was a busy weekend but, don't plate the food before it's ready. Servers were all polite and a couple excelled, especially Maria. Delicious Food!!!!! (Day 1)-Asked for water (no specifications) it came with a lemon (I don't personally like lemon in my water) and asked for a water with lemon. Waiter was very nice and came back right away with a water with no lemons! Food was great and service was nice. Day 1 definitely deserved 5 stars! This place has horrible customer service. There was an event, Kevin Hart performed at their venue. They had over 5,000 people in attendance. When the show was over, people were hungry. They came tot his place. I know the place closes at 12. But most businesses accommodate people when there is a special event. I came to this place at 11:45pm, aiming to order to go. I noticed people had just been seated because they didn't even have water on their table. And the host turned me away and said they were close. It was very rude. Most establishments stay open until the last person is gone. Plus, technically I was there prior to closing and there had to be at least 35 people in there when I was went. Thanks Beach Cafe. Because this was my first introduction to Laughlin. And I NEVER HAVE TO COME BACK. Kevin Hart's show was amazing, I enjoyed myself. This hotel was El Garbage, and their food choices only caters to people who prefer fast, fattening food. So yall can count me out forever. Ain't Got nothing on the Harrahs in Vegas. read more

The portions were very small for the price. Philly cheese steak was on a hot dog size bun and the BBQ burger (both 16.99 or 17.99) was like a kids meal size burger. And the burger was quite well done, but the patty was so thin it may have been hard to not make well done. Think "little league snack bar" quality. The Cole slaw and fruit on side were good. Service was friendly and pretty timely. The bus boy was slamming dishes into bus tub and moving condiments around like he was really upset about something. We were there about 1/2 hour before closing so maybe was upset closing might be late? I would not recommend unless you are desperate. Let's face it: It's Laughlin. No one comes here for world-class cuisine and a thriving food scene. Beach Cafe's food is just edible enough to get the job done and while it does kind of suck, in a strange way it also doesn't... Kind of. Maybe it's just the huge soft spot I have for diners and cafes and my memories of dining here with my family on vacation. On my most recent trip here, I ordered their country fried steak and my wife got their chicken parmesan. As a patty melt connoisseur, I should have known better, but against my better judgement, I went with the CFS instead. Bad move. The country fried steak itself was fine, but what's a country fried steak without a good gravy? The gravy does all the work in pretty much any gravy-focused dish. This was basically just a white gravy with zero flavor. I had to season it with S&P to get any sort of semblance of flavor. I took a bite of my wife's pasta and while it was also very mediocre, at least it was good enough. If you want a sit-down meal that isn't an overpriced steakhouse or a restaurant with marked-up prices because it's got Guy Fieri's name/face slapped on it, Beach Cafe is just some honest, no BS comfort food. And after reading reviews from other vegans, and asked the personal at the cafe about vegan options we decided to give it a try if you have any food restrictions I wouldn't recommend to go there. I'm vegan and severe allergic to dairy. My mom become lactose intolerant after her chemotherapy and radiation treatments 7 years ago . They did tell as they don't have vegan food but they agreed to made an avocado toast for us. (We ordered to go) The fact that it was just half avocado ( in one piece) and 4 pieces of toast I can be ok with, but toast was frayed in butter this is not acceptable after we mentioned no dairy for so many times. I only noticed that after I got few bites but both me and mom was very sick after that. If you don't have any food allergies or restrictions then I would definitely recommend this place. read more

This is my favorite restaurant in Harrah's Laughlin. There are many other food choices , however, their prices, though on the high end, are still more reasonable than most of the other restaurants. The service is not the best - The servers were all super nice, but very slow. Most recently I enjoyed a late afternoon lunch and the following morning's breakfast. We did a road trip to Laughlin and needed to grab lunch. One of the places was closed, this was open so we tried it. The hostess that seated us was training a new girl, she had absolutely no personality, hopefully doesn't rub off on the new girl. We were seated for a short time and the waitress Catherine arrived, again, not very friendly and no personality. We placed our order, and the food arrived fairly quickly. We both ordered sandwiches, one with fries the other onion rings. They were pretty good. The restaurant itself could use a bit of an update. The booth we were in the seats were all cracked and the table was in pretty rough shape. The employees in the rest of the casino were so friendly, which surprised us at how unfriendly they were in the restaurant. The service was ok, the staff seemed slow and lethargic, we saw our server about once every ten minutes. The ambiance of the place was dated and weird.
