A perfect local coffee shop with reasonable prices and good ambience. It's a small coffee shop with a variety of dessert options. It's a beautiful spot to catch up for a sip. This will be my go to spot for a quick coffee or desert from now on in the area

Reporting a verbal harassment for disability that just happened at a business in CT around 12 noon. Done by the man behind the counter, most likely the owner. The business is called Cafe Aroma 55 Wall Street, Norwalk, CT 06851 He yelled at us for having a small dog. I informed him, the service animal is needed for a certified medical alert, that my partner is disabled and needs her. He said okay well the dog can stay and you can go, he looked at my disabled partner and said "you're fine". I tried informing him of the laws and he stared yelling at us, to get out and refused to serve us. He would not stop yelling. This is not okay and discrimination. We are also a queer couple and it may be some hate crime as well.

I came to this coffee shop based on Yelp review, in the weekday afternoon. The coffee shop has some seats very relaxing comfortable environment. You can get coffee & sweet treats for those got sweet like me. We ordered tiramisu which taste good, it's not as sweet (i cant taste any rum tho) Cafe Mocha is highly recommend, it's not loaded with corn syrup like Starbucks. Less than $4 Cafe latte is alright (similar to the coffee i make at home with Nespresso), but less than $4. Oh it doesn't not taste bitter like Starbucks. Just using Starbucks for comparison here. Owner is super funny and friendly from greek, he said he makes his coffee with love, therefore gave me the love (drew a heart) for my cup of mocha art . definitely a go-to coffee spot if you come to Norwalk CT.

Wow, a great little surprise! We had iced latte and an iced caramel macchiato (hand mixed) and a piece of ekmek that I could not stop eating to take a picture. Really delicious and not too sweet. Nice find.

I was visiting a friend and read all the great reviews so I decided to check it out. There were many selections for coffee and cream/ milk alternatives. Not only was his technique unique, but the visual as you see in the picture is super appealing. Taste- the moment I took a sip, it instantly reminded me of the coffee I had in Europe and was in shock. I haven't found a single place here that replicates that quality of coffee except now. It really was well crafted. Atmosphere- very calm and relaxed, def a spot you can do work in as there's seating and WiFi available. On top of that the host there was very personable and kind. Aka the reviews are true and worth the hype hah

Even a frappe with almond milk is only $3.50 here. Reasonable prices and AMAZING service

We wanted some coffee and my daughter suggested this spot. The bad is street parking but the coffee is worth the walk. I had the cold Cafe Freda ?(not sure about that name) chilled and it was amazingly good. I think there are two secrets to this great cup- he uses top coffee beans and he grinds it right before he makes it for you. This place is leagues above the chains and you can tell he is proud of what he is doing. The prices are also very good. There were all kinds of people on the lines- 2 cops, a construction worker, another couple and 2 guys who were on a break. Nice desserts to go with it too- greek, traditional and also gelato. Cafe Aroma is a the perfect mix of the best coffee (frappe for me) and outstanding service in Connecticut . On the occasional day I am skipping caffeine I will stop in just to pick up their freshly baked brownies and chat with the owner. If you are new to the area like many Norwalk/FF county residents Cafe Aroma is a must visit. read more

The picture on Yelp for this place is an incredible looking slice of chocolate cream pie. I've been looking for a truly good chocolate cream pie for years. I'm weird like that and super picky and unfortunately this slice was not what I had hoped (and man it was overpriced). It tasted like pure sugar. I couldn't get the flavor of the crust or the chocolate cream filling because it was all too darn sweet! Sampled peanut butter cookie which was quite good but again very sweet. Bought a chocolate chip cookie and it tasted a couple days old. The iced coffee though was very good. And hot chocolate prices were surprisingly low, so might return to try that! read more

This was our first time here - but it won't be our last! We were greeted by the owner who suggested some great choices. We ordered the ekmek - a Greek dessert that uses a shredded phyllo base (kataifi) spiced with syrup and then layered with custard and topped with whipped cream and chopped nuts. It was delicious! We also tried the coconut milk rice pudding which is both vegan and gluten free. Another winner! Our coffee drinks - iced latte and iced caramel macchiato - were excellent as well. It's nice to have a quiet place to sit and enjoy coffee and dessert, and they're open late unlike most places around here. We'll definitely be back! read more

This coffee shop is owned by such a sweet man. He told me he made my coffee with love and it'll be the best latte I've ever tasted. I can confirm that it was! The coffee cake was also delicious. Relaxed and unpretentious, it's easy to cozy into this café. I was surprised to find a variety of gelato at the counter, along with a wide variety of coffees. Just here for a quick moment, I grabbed 2 flavored seltzers and a jumbo cookie for the kids. My total was less than $7 and included some nice chitchat with the owner, Appollonius. We stopped in for coffees and a pastry. The barista was really nice. They serve LaVazza coffee, which is great. The ambiance is a little lackluster. They had a soccer game on the tv. The food options were a bit limited for breakfast. I would have liked a croissant or maybe some house made biscotti. read more

This place is delightful. I can't believe it's not packed. I had personal service from the owner. I ordered what turned out to be a delicious cafe mocha and a couple of little spinach pies. The owner baked them fresh for me. There are several comfortable seating areas inside and out- I sat in a soft chair overlooking the street while my computer sat charging next to me. The place is spotless. I will definitely be returning. read more

Lovely little gem of a coffee shop in Norwalk--comfortable seating and a wide selection of desserts. I'm not a big coffee drinker but it sounds like their coffee is very good too. The owner is super friendly and is great at creating a relaxed atmosphere, encouraging everyone to sit and stay a while if they can. This would be a great place to get coffee with someone and relax and chat. My only complaint would be their large TV screen--it doesn't fit very well with the atmosphere and the volume makes it very hard to do work or read here. If they didn't have the TV I would probably come work here 2 or 3 times a week. read more

Café Aroma is the best place in Connecticut to get coffee at, to work from, and to feel rested when far away from home. Paul is the best host and made me feel completely at home every time I worked in his coffee shop. He makes the best flat white that I've had in the US. What a place, what a guy, what environment!!!!! Go check it out. The food is awesome too. Thankful for him. P.S. I forgot to pay one day when I left in a hurry when late for an appointment for work and he was totally great reminding me and wasn't mad at all. I'm impressed by Paul. Awesome guy. read more

Some people only write reviews when they have terrible experiences, I only write a review when i am truly excited about an experience and I want to show gratitude for having the privilege of being a customer. I met the owner Paul yesterday and he was an incredible barista. The cafe he runs has an extremely authentic European charm, amazing coffee... the best espresso I've had since living in Colombia and the best customer service in all of Fairfield County. Visit this spot if you want an incredible cafe experience at a very modest price. 10/10 would come back. I will recommend to all of my friends and family. read more

A nice Lavazza café on the iconic street. Stop by for a good cup if coffee, some amazing crispy spinach and feta cheese pies and lattes. The owner is super friendly who actually helps you out with the menu by helping you decide what you actually would like if you walk in with a confuse mind like me. BEST COFFEE AROUND! If you blink while driving by, you might miss it. This place is absolutely adorable, and the decor is warm and inviting. Paul is always so personable and will put a smile on your face as soon as you walk in. He really takes pride in his product and it shows. Every time I'm there I feel like I just teleported over to Italy. The Lavazza coffee is delicious of course but my favorite coffee maybe EVER is the Iced Frappe. Don't even think about Starbucks or Dunkin Donuts with this place so close by. You won't regret it. read more

Amazing. Just amazing. We came here on a whim when we moved to Norwalk and fell in love with the coffee. We also love the customer service and everyone who works here is so kind. As of Sunday, November 15, 20202 the staff is not wearing face masks. . The 1 cashier and the 2 works were not wearing them. That's very disappointing considering Norwalk is a hot spot. Will not be going back. read more

Went to Cafe Aroma because I wanted a coffee before work. I live in Boston but grew up in Wilton/Norwalk. The owner of this shop is absolutely amazing, so friendly and funny and made my day. Happened to stumble across this cafe randomly through yelp and decided to try out their desserts! My boyfriend and I got the toasted almond, all three of the truffle flavors they offer(red velvet (my favorite), peanut butter and chocolate) and an iced frappe. I'm not an avid coffee drinker, but I stole some sips from my boyfriend's frappe and I have to say it was one of the best coffees I have had in a while. We finished everything and satisfied our sweet tooth. The gentleman, who seems to be the owner, was extremely friendly. Cafe Aroma did not disappoint! Found this place on yelp as one of the top places to stop in around town and not gonna lie, at first when I stopped in, I was disappointed because I've been to many coffee shops that had a more calming, uplifting environment but once I met the owner (I believe) who was a casual elderly Italian man - he changed my mood on everything. He immediately greeted my friend and I, shook our hands, asked if it was our first time in. We said yes. He gladly stated he'd make us a something special to drink. Told us he'd bring it to us at the table. I was 100% satisfying with his surprise. He knew exactly what I liked (an almond milk hazelnut vanilla latte) and my friend an iced expresso which happens to be their signature drink. He told us to come back thanking us for stopping in and giving us a free coffee to go on the house. If it weren't for him, I would have walked out but he made the place memorable. 10/10 would come back. Plus the coffee is perfect. read more

Cute little coffee shop! Small and quiet. A few tables and some comfy chairs. Great service, fantastic coffee, and homemade desserts! Only issue in this area is parking but if you don't mind a little walk this is a very nice shop. Take a break from Starbucks and support a local business. :) read more

I just went in yesterday for the first time - they have fantastic coffee and baked goods. We were planning to get it to go but the owner was so nice we ended up sitting in the café for a while. He even has a bank to charge phones, which was so thoughtful for customers! It's a wonderful, family owned business and I hope everyone will get out and support it! We are lucky to have a place like that! read more

I've been coming here almost every summer since I found this place back in 2015. There's usually several people already in line by the time I arrive, but it's never a long wait. It gives me just enough time to decide what ice cream I want to try, what toppings I want, and how I want to pay for my ice cream. I've always been more of a sundae guy because that means I have a far less chance of my ice cream spilling, and so that's basically always what I get here. Today's sundae was a large Chocaholic with peanuts, cheesecake bites, whipped cream, hot fudge, and cherries. Yeah people, I am a chocolate lover. Don't like it? Deal with it! And as always, my ice cream was top-notch delicious! What truly makes these experiences magical is the location. Yes, I know it's not directly next to the water, but this leads into one of my favorite Connecticut summer pass times ever! To optimize my experience, I would carry my ice cream over to the Overton's dock, sit on a bench that's right at the end of the dock, face the water, and enjoy away on a nice summer day. I love to feel the sea breeze caress my skin as I look over the harbor, ice cream in hand. I love to imagine myself riding on a boat, or maybe sit at the edge of a pier, feet dangling just mere inches over the water as I enjoy my summer treat. My friend's and I stopped in this cafe on a whim while traveling through Connecticut, and it was one of the best decisions we have ever made. The owner was friendly, attentive and possibly the sweetest person I have ever met. We tried the chocolate gelato and chocolate truffles which were little pieces if chocolate heaven on earth. Also, the mocha lattes are super yummy and some of the best we have ever tried. My friend's and I left and shopped in Norwalk for a bit, but we returned later on that day just to let the owner know he was right: the chocolate truffles he recommended were not exaggerated, they are the best chocolate truffles we have ever had!
