Too dirty to enjoy. I was so excited to find bubble tea near my home but i had to move the table so the nasty curtains wouldn't drop dust on me. There's so much hair and dirt in the window sills that I'm trying to not look down. I'm sitting at a table (which is black with dirt) to avoid sitting on a couch that is stained. I had a chicken salad croissant that was just ok but the potato salad was gray in color so I'm gonna pass. I'll drive for the bubble tea. There's so much potential here- a great menu, a great location, sadly, if nothing else in here is clean, I can't trust the food is either. read more

Stopped by this coffee shop when I was driving all around town. They were closing early to host a private event so I didn't have time to sit and enjoy their atmosphere. I was able to grab a cup of light roast coffee to-go though. The prices are very fair; under $2 for my small coffee. They seemed to have decent options for drinks and some pastries as well. The crowd seemed to be high schoolers, but that may have been since school had just let out. I got the feeling that this is a family run place, since there seemed to be a mother-daughter team handling the customers. Interior consists of tables for four and sofas near a fireplace. It isn't as cozy as a hipster coffee shop, moreso open like a restaurant. I would visit here again when they are not hosting an event and I have time to enjoy the coffee. read more

Cafe Au Lait is a good, quick spot for the best coffee that I've found in the area and prices are very reasonable. It's definitely a great alternative to Starbucks and local. The service is very straightforward, not overly friendly but everyone is working hard to get your drinks and food out quick and hot. My sausage and cheese croissant was just an average breakfast sandwich, but there was definitely something charming about the place. I'll definitely be back for coffee on my way to work and for a quick bite in the morning. I've been frequenting Cafe au Lait for years. It's one of my favorite coffee houses in Roswell, which, for whatever reason, is strangely lacking in quality coffee shops. The dark roast coffee blends are exceptional, and the chocolate muffins are out of this world. If you stop in early on a weekend morning, the muffins are straight out of the oven and divine. It's a great place to relax, read, blog, check email, and in winter, simply enjoy the ambience of the fire. This is a hidden (and almost missable) gem if you're driving along Holcomb Bridge, but it's a favorite of the locals in Newtown. It's quiet and comforting...don't miss it. read more

NOT FOR ME This little place has been on my radar for a while. It seems like a really cool addition to the neighborhood where people primarily come to socialize and just chill. My husband and I were in the area and thought that we would drop in for breakfast. It is semi-self serve, you place your order, seat yourself, and your meal is delivered when ready. My husband orders an omelet and I order the breakfast potatoes and the breakfast special. My eggs and bacon were fine, the toast was cold and the potatoes were very bland. The potatoes were very dry almost as if someone had attempted to dehydrate them and had no hint of seasoning. I like my breakfast potatoes seasoned with onion, salt and pepper and garlic is optional. My husband's omelet was tragic, again no seasoning. I loved the decor in this place because in addition to the wooden dining tables, they also offered a comfortable sofa and armchairs situated in front of a fire place. Stopped by Cafe Au Lait for breakfast the other morning. I was wanting something a bit different from my usuals of Panera, Einstein Bros and Corner Bakery. While the food is nothing too fantastic...it is also not bad at all. I had a basic breakfast of scrambled eggs, bacon, their seasoned potatoes (yummy) and toast, along with an unsweetened iced tea. The eggs were done well, the bacon as a bit thin, but tasty and the potatoes...as I said...yummy. Great coffeehouse atmosphere. Bigger than I thought it would be. Great place to relax with a drink and a laptop and pass the time. They actually have a bubble tea offering here as well- something you won't find in a lot of other coffeehouses. Would be interesting if they could promote an open-mic night or some weekend entertainment to help drive some evening business though. It happens to be out of my way when going to work, so I will probably only be back here on the weekends. It's a great place to get a cup of coffee and read a book you just checked out from the new East Roswell Library just built across the street, hang out with friends, enjoy a tasty breakfast or lunch or to get some work done if you're into the whole being-productive thing. The restaurant itself is large enough that you can spread out if you need workspace or have a large group and the fireplace and comfy sofas make it a cozy place to relax when you want to just take it easy. What's unusual for cafe's like this is that Cafe Au Lait also sells Bubble Tea, which if you've never had one is certainly worth trying at least once! The free wifi doesn't hurt either! read more

Best Taro I have had in my life. Honestly. The Taro flavor felt authentic and not diluted or too vanilla, like many other bubble tea places. I wish I lived closer, because I know I would end up going whenever I pass by, as there is a convenient drive thru. Bubble tea isn't all they excel it, because their smoothies will also blow everyone else out of the water. Not watered down at all. Tasted homemade, but better. Will be going back soon! read more

The owners/staff at this place are not friendly to black people at all! At first I thought it was just me, but I talked to a few other friends/acquaintances that have gone there , who are also black, who have noticed the difference in customer service received as well. This place is amazing! Probably my favorite brunch spot and lucky for me, it's on my way to work so I can call it in and it's ready within 5 mins. I also like going in there with my laptop to get work done. It's got a cozy fireplace in the winter time and they have an awesome selection of teas and coffees to enjoy. I really like this place. They close earlier than Starbucks so I normally don't study here in the evening, but it's perfect for daytime work! The noise level and lighting is optimal. The owners are extremely nice, and the breakfast is delicious! I normally opt for the breakfast croissant or a bacon, egg, and cheese English muffin. I love that the breakfast tastes so much lighter than something from McDonald's, but satisfies that very craving. My girl friend and I wondered into this restaurant the other day. I had been curious about this spot for awhile. I grew up in Europe so little Cafes' are always on my radar. The service was nice enough and the atmosphere was generic for coffee shops. The food was AWFUL. I was so shocked to see the number of regulars that came in and out during my visit to this establishment. The food tasted like it was made by nursing home staff. The coffee was alot like motor oil.
