My cappuccino was perfect, not burnt or scalded in the slightest, while being incredibly smooth and easy to drink. I also picked out a rainbow pignoli cookie, which was heavenly!!! I love both its parent cookies so that shouldn't have been a surprise, but the raspberry jam filling and chocolate ganache dip worked perfectly with the pignoli cookie's light almond flavor and toasted pine nuts. Aside from what I had to eat, this cafe is an adorable place to sit and hang out! The barista was very nice and I enjoyed sitting by the window watching the people go by. I'm amazed that such a charming, quiet cafe can exist smack in the middle of SoHo! Tucked between some restaurants and a locksmith, the storefront can feel almost hidden. But it's worth finding! The coffee here is fantastic, and they make some excellent drinks. I tried a vanilla latte, and it tasted like they grew the vanilla beans on site. Really delicious. Another place for coffee and sweets in Nolita. Cafe Belle is a small independent shop. It has quite a few good looking things to choose from, but some can get expensive though. High quality stuff and fresh. There's all kinds of cookies and pastries. Everything looks so good here. It also seems to be women owned. My boo and me checked it out one morning to get some coffee and pastries. Coffee is the main thing here to drink. It's about $3.50 for a latte. There's also many kinds of colorful cookies in the display case that we really wanted to try. Be careful. Some of these are very expensive. It's about $10 for a container of the vegan rainbow cookies. They look good and there's quite a few in the container but it's still more than a bit expensive. It also has a nice atmosphere. This is such a charming little cafe!! The interior is very cute with about 6 tables. It has such a cozy vibe, especially with the Christmas decorations! The vanilla bean latte here was well made -- super smooth with great flavor. I also tried the florentine cookies which were new to me and really good. I totally could taste the nutmeg and cinnamon as I was drinking it. And I had one of their almond horn cookie. Omg! It was yummy. I could literally taste the crunchy almond from the outside. Holy mother of everything tasty. Seriously. We went to a tour at the church right down the street (highly recommend). We walked past cafe belle on the way to the tour and I got good vibes. When the tour was done we stopped in for coffee and cake. It just so happened to be the best coffee we had during our 10 days in NYC and one of the best pieces of cake I have ever had. I got a pumpkin late that wasn't too sweet. But this cake definitely topped it all. We ate at some amazing restaurants, and this little cafe definitely stood out. Happened upon this small cafe on a Saturday afternoon after getting off the subway. Cozy interior with a few tables inside as well as a bench outside. Many different pastries behind the glass as well as a rotating selection on the counter. Decided on the Latte ($4ish) to go along with a Spinach Feta Turnover ($4.50). Items were hot and ready after a few minutes. Coffee is thick and strong, not needing any extra sugar. The turnover is on the dense side but the spinach and feta combo is nice. The cream is is smooth & creamy, but something is off. There's a hint of a lemony taste. The texture was great. However, I didn't care for the taste. My son took 2 bites but couldn't finish it. He ended up getting a brownie instead. It looked richer than it tasted. His friend got the large chocolate chip cookie, which she devoured. I took a taste- out was good. Cafe Belle just made my daughter's baby shower complete with an absolutely gorgeous cake! Not only did the cake meet and exceed all of our expectations aesthetically but it was also absolutely scrumptious. The cake was moist and not overly sweet and the fillings were a divine combination of smooth, rich chocolate with a second layer of raspberry jam. Noelle also delivered the cake herself with plenty of time to set up. We also ordered cake pops and rainbow cookies to go along with the cake and they were wonderful as well. Popped into this place wandering the streets of NYC just looking for some water. After checking the reviews, I picked up a box of the rainbow cookie/cakes. These were delicious, one of the best and most unique desserts I tried in the city. The thin layer of jam between the colored cake tiers was a tasty touch. I love this place. First off: Shoutout for being a woman-owned business. Second, this is the cutest cafe ever. I love the decor inside and out. My husband and I randomly stumbled upon this after a quick trip to REI across the street. We hadn't had any breakfast so we went inside and ordered: one iced coffee, one iced matcha latte, and a piece of nutella banana bread slice. We sat outside on the cafe's table and chairs ( which again are so adorable.) Everything was delicious and I will definitely come back again. I'm writing this review as I'm still sitting here in this cafe, because this is how much I love it! Cafe Belle is a quaint little Italian cafe that serves authentic, homemade Italian pastries and coffee. It seems like an under-the-radar cafe, tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the adjoining neighborhoods. There aren't too many seats inside, but the cafe compensates for that with free wifi, a clean restroom, friendly service, and its adorable floral decor. Over the span of the hours I spent here, I ordered a Spinach and Feta turnover, a large drip coffee, and a raspberry rugelach. The turnover was buttery, flaky, delicious, with the perfect filling to pastry ratio. The rugelach was one of the best I've ever had. The raspberry filling definitively tasted of real raspberries, making me believe their claim that they shy away from using artificial ingredients. It was sweet enough to satisfy my sweet tooth, but not sickeningly so. My coffee was eye-openingly strong and the perfect pick-me-up my afternoon needed. I selfishly want Cafe Belle to be my best kept secret and to shelter it from the traffic of the city, but I believe that everyone should have the chance to sample a taste of Naples. The matcha latte, I literally see her put some match and milk together and used the machine wand to whisk it together and pour it in the cup. The latte has no taste at all. I came during the feast. Saw a rainbow cookie ice cream sandwich on Gothamist that came from this place, and had to try it. Arrived around 9pm (I know it's a weekday but there were a shitload of people at the feast still, down the block and the feast starts at 6pm and ends at 11). The lady inside the cafe behind the counter we initially went to was nice. She directed us outside to get the ice cream cookie cake. Upon approaching who later said he was the owner: "hi, do you have the rainbow cookie ice cream cake?" "No, no more left." Reference above comment about the time & circumstances. Me (pointed to a different one): "what does that one have in it?" "Cannoli cream." "Me: "how much is it?" "[more than i was quoted inside]." The whole conversation between me and this jubilant, face-in-phone owner was disinterested, monotone, sad, and screamed "I don't want to be here, don't value your business and hard earned money on my overpriced feast pastries, and barely care enough to answer your questions." My friend said thank you and have a good night after i bought the rainbow cookie cake and pignoli cookies and maybe he didn't know it was addressed to him, being the guy was so engrossed in whatever was happening on his phone, but he didn't even lift his head up. Everyone has a bad day. And yeah, i get it, you deal with assholes from the feast all day. Get over it, they're helping to keep your doors open. Maybe this was his bad day, but yeah, I was miffed by the interaction. There's no excuse to not appreciate business and at least try to put on a fucken smile in 2021. Ending this on a positive note, because that guy needs some positive vibes in his life - the rainbow cookie cake was excellent, it actually had the taste and texture of a rainbow cookie, not like the box cakes that just have rainbow cookie food coloring like some places. Haven't tried the pignoli cookies yet but they look good. Good enough that I bought a plastic container of them. Really nice little cafe that has good stuff. i'm not quite sure how to describe this place. i love it. but i'm also not someone who looks for 5 star rating cafe. it's one of my favorite cafes in the soho area. every time i go the barista is always lovely. i love the black and white cookie (it's the only place i actually go to if im craving a black and white cookie) and their chocolate chip banana bread (ive have had it very few times but ive always loved it its moist border line raw but i love it that way) if you are looking for gourmet food this is not the place to go. if you are looking for a nostalgic decent cafe with sweet treat that will fulfill your craving go ! i have never been able to fully describe the way i love good "bad" food. it's decent but it's more then decent. it's bad but it's not bad. just go and you'll see what i mean. i still love it nonetheless. read more
