The most adorable and delicious spot on Essex. First, loved all the Pride flags displayed!!!! Yassssss! Second, one of the best focaccia breads I've ever had. I don't know if it was the olive oil they used, the airiness of the slice I had, the perfect amount of sea salt or all of the above but I will dream of this focaccia for nights to come. You can see the workings of all the baked goods right behind the counter. The wall paper is just so cheery and there are several areas where you can sit and dine whether it be one of their baked goods or one of their Neapolitan pizzas. The second you walk in it just smells like a perfect combo of pizza and desserts. I ordered a mint tea and a delicious double chocolate chip. You can tell this was a fav in the neighborhood as people came in to meet up for a quick cup of coffee and a chance to catch up. Before leaving I purchased the following: fruit and nut baguette (the baby has already ate half the loaf...) an everything baguette (delish just sliced but can't wait to make avocado toast with it) and my slice of focaccia. So do yourself a favor and pop in here and try one of everything.

Some really great fresh bread and baked goods can indeed be found at the cusp of Two Bridges/LES in Partybus Bakeshop. I love coming for their miche, which is available in quarter, half, and whole portions ($5-18) and sliced upon request as well, as well as their sticky buns ($5) which are full of cinnamon flavor and so fluffy. I'd also highly recommend the Scallion Buns ($2) which are simply incredible (hearty, fluffy, and perfumed with a deliciously savory and herbaceous scallion oil), and a beautiful nod to the neighborhood the bakery is situated in. In fact, 10% of all proceeds from the scallion buns are donated to Heart of Dinner, which provides hot lunches and pantry essentials to the homebound, elderly, and vulnerable population in Chinatown.

I walk by the shop every day on my way to work. Unfortunately, when I am on my way to work the shop is closed. I stopped by today and was able to purchase what I have been craving (since I left LA) some good sourdough bread. As I am typing I am eating a piece, and it is very tasty. The employees are a bit standoffish but then again this is New York.... I am confident once I become a regular, they will loosen up.....LOL.

Get the cinnamon sticky buns! Holy cow it's gooooood. This is coming from someone who doesn't care for cinnamon rolls/buns/whatnot but I fell in love with this upon the first bite. $4 for one piece, for $20 for the whole tray (6 buns?) Ummm you're gonna need to buy the whole tray. I made the mistake of only ordering two, and it was just gone in a minute. The bread is superrr fluffy, but my favorite has to be their cream cheese frosting. I could probably eat a pint of this frosting by itself. Not sickeningly sweet. Still sweet, but balanced enough. Just get itttt Mushrom Dijon Danish $4.50: while I really enjoyed the mushroom and dijon combination (surprisingly very good) I wished there was more of it since it was centered and didn't come with every nibble unless your bite is half a danish in one go. Not extra flakey either, but decently crispy enough. Ricotta Cheesecake ($5/slice): these cake slices are super tiny for the price point. I love the extra buttery crust, and while the filling is decent, it's not very strong in the flavor Strawberry Rhubarb Pie ($5/slice): should probably preface this by saying I normally hate pie...and I definitely didn't enjoy this. The pie crust is good, but the cooked fruits component has such a pungent vinegar-y taste that just left me rinsing my mouth afterwards. Also, this doesn't travel well - everything fell apart and was a mess Peach Pie: if you must try a pie, go for this one, muchh better

the Frenchie: Black Forest ham, fontina, and salted butter

Have been wanting to try this place ever since I heard about it through Heart of Dinner. Finally stopped in and got the Frenchie (Black Forest ham, fontina, salted butter on a baguette) and an iced coffee. Oh my goodness, the baguette is possibly one of the best baguettes I've ever had! It has a really crunchy crust, nicely-formed air pockets, and good chew. The fillings of ham, fontina, and butter are simple but worked harmoniously. Portion wise it's pretty good too, can easily split it into two meals if you pair it with a soup or salad. Awesome spot, can't wait to come back to try more goodies!

3.5 stars Came here Sunday morning for breakfast. There are only 2 tables so it's definitely more of a to-go place. The kitchen is open and right behind the counter so you can see them rolling and shaping the dough. I had a few of the pastries and they were ok. None of them stood out to me, but would still recommend to someone if they were nearby and in a pinch. Basically just an average bakery but has the necessities for a neighborhood staple

I came upon this bakery when it popped up on a list of bakeries to consider for your thanksgiving pie! Based on the reviews here and the photos on their Instagram, I quickly pre-ordered a pie for next week. But, I couldn't wait to try this place even before then. I popped in for 2 of the pistachio croissants! I didn't realize until now that it's twice baked because when you look at it, you can tell that it's cooked for longer than you would think. But it adds a certain great crunch to it as in it didn't taste over baked at all! It was one of the best croissants I've had in a long time! Definitely worth a visit! I may pop in again for another treat before I pick up my pie.

This place is amazing! Everything you purchase is delicious and cooked well. The staff is so nice and friendly and the vibe is so fun. I love this place and often travel from Harlem to purchase the baked goods! The cinnamon rolls and the pie is especially good.

there are many reasons to go to Partybus Bakeshop like the assortment of freshly baked sweet treats or the weekly baking classes. however mine is a simple one--the bread & butter which is a half of a baguette with the right amount of salted butter spread on it...the freshness of the baguette combined with the savory fattiness of the butter makes for one satisfying bite after another. so good! combine that with the bakery's hot brewed coffee and you have life's simple pleasures of flavorful coffee that doesn't overpower the baked eats while at the same time giving you that much needed caffeine kick. there are so many good choices for savory or sweet hunger pangs that you can't go wrong. discovered the gluten-free brownie on another visit...which was/is a great option for those in need of a sweeter bite. the bakery, itself, is a small space with some seating which is neatly kept. the service is friendly. Partybus Bakeshop continues to be great addition to the Lower East Side for fans of carbs!

Delicious bakery in china town. It has amazing pastries such as their sticky bun, monkey bread and danishes!! Cute and small with a few tables. The workers are so sweet and nice.

A new bakeshop just opened midway between two of my other favorite bakeries (Supermoon and Macaron Parlour), but it's different enough to warrant going to all of them. This one is also instantly one of my favorites, as the cookies and croissants I just tried were incredible. They are some of the best cookies in the city, of the non-giant Chip/Levain variety. Get the flaky little croissant too, which is exceptionally good. The chocolate croissant is too, made with buckwheat flour. I'll be back ASAP to try more items.

Had a giant slice of honey parm focaccia, yummy giant chocolate chip and french baguette. That foccacia was pillowy, airy and drenched w honey & slathered w parm and powdered sugar. The cookie is a chocolate chip filled crunchy chewy giant goodness. The baguette should of been consumed out of the oven but no one is really complaining here. Great concept- cutest set up and friendly staff.

The orange has a base made of chocolate Rice Krispies. All of them have more fruity filling than the mousse. They are very fragile. I recommend eating there if you can. There was no place to sit down because of how busy it was but the staff kept the line moving quick enough. The place still seemed reasonably stocked with their desserts and treats, despite the late afternoon time that I arrived. I ordered 4 different treats to go and they're packed in small box individually. Unfortunately, they didn't quite stay intact during my trek back to my hotel and were tumbled around in the boxes. Nonetheless, the taste and flavors held up well and even after a few days in the fridge. The yuzu daisy has this vivid pastel yellow-pink base and adorable gelatinous yellow gem atop a white flower. The yuzu gives a subtle infusion of tart that is balanced out by the light delicate skin texture of the rest. Sitting atop a thin round rice crispy. I loved the red mushroom one which is a creamy pink mousse inside the cap. The stalk is a thin porcelain-white chocolate light base also filled with a rich cream. Adjacent are two cute little tree nuts. The orange and mango have such vivid colors and are aesthetically pleasing too. Just like the previous ones, their delicate chocolate exterior houses a rich tarty mousse-y filling. I think the mushroom has a better balance and variety of flavors. Although I don't eat mousse treats often, I look forward to trying some of the other ones in the future, like the blueberry, banana and cloud.

Today I decided to make a special trip to go here to grab a few goodies. I forgot how small the place was and how low the ceilings were. That wasn't an issue though. The place was nice and cakes were stacked neatly. What was surprising to me is that they don't have any cookies laid in the front display. It's all placed in the back almost hidden. I was deeply disappointed with their cookie selection. It was deeply surprising that they don't sell the butter cookies that had jam in the middle and dipped with chocolate on one side with sprinkles. I did ask the clerk and even showed him a pic of what I was looking for and he said they never sold them. They only had the linzer cookies and they didn't look so good. They also did not have the lobster tail. They did have the sfogliatelle which they also called a lobster tail. I thought they were not the same? Some bakeries sell both and they are definitely not the same. I did end up buying one of their sfogliatelle with cream and some rugelachs. The sfogliatelle was good but the rugelachs tasted slightly underbaked. It did taste fresh though unlike many I've had in other bakeries. However, for $28 per pound, I wouldn't get it again. For those not having lobster tail and not having the Italian cookies, I will have to give Veniero's a low rating. I never thought an Italian bakery would not carry staples. Very disappointed. I need to find another Italian bakery now.

I had never heard of the place before, but I was happy to give it a try -- and I'm so glad I did. From the moment you walk in, the experience feels special. The store has two beautiful double doors that create such a grand entrance, and once inside, you immediately feel the energy. The place was bustling with people, and everyone seemed happy and excited -- from the customers to the team behind the counter and the baristas. The cookie case was overflowing with so many amazing choices that it was hard to decide! I ended up getting the Rocky Road cookie, a Double Chocolate Chip cookie, a Two Chip Chocolate Chip cookie, and a blueberry muffin to enjoy for breakfast the next morning. The service was absolutely impeccable, and everyone I interacted with was warm, friendly, and delightful. When I got home, I had half of the Rocky Road cookie with a cup of tea, and it was incredible. The cookie was large and chunky but still perfectly enjoyable -- not heavy or overwhelming. It literally melted in my mouth. The chocolate was rich and smooth, and every bite was just delicious. The next morning, I tried the blueberry muffin, and it was just as impressive. It was light and airy, not overly sweet like many blueberry muffins can be. It truly felt like a breakfast pastry. The blueberries tasted fresh and burst with flavor in every bite. We walked into a simple and welcoming space where the smell of freshly baked cookies made it clear why it has become such a popular stop. The bakery has a warm, inviting energy, with a steady flow of customers moving through the counter and the open kitchen adding a layer of engagement as we watched the cookies being prepared, making the experience feel more like a classic bakery visit rather than just grabbing a dessert. The main reason to visit is their famous chocolate chip walnut cookie. We ordered one and found it had a crisp exterior with a warm, dense center that gave it the signature Levain texture. The combination of chocolate and walnuts creates a balance between sweetness and richness, although the cookies are definitely on the sweeter and heavier side, and the size makes it feel more like a substantial treat than a light snack. Their other flavors, including dark chocolate and seasonal options, give more variety if you want to try something beyond the original, and we found the dark chocolate version offered a deeper, less sweet profile that appealed to those who prefer a more intense chocolate flavor. The size of the cookies is part of what makes Levain stand out. One cookie is usually enough to share, especially after a meal, but getting one fresh and warm is the best way to experience the texture. The center stays soft and almost underbaked compared to a traditional cookie, which is what makes it different from most bakeries. Service is usually quick and efficient, even when there is a line, and the shop is more designed for takeout since seating is limited, so it works best as a quick stop while exploring the city. The line can move faster than expected because the menu is focused and the process is straightforward, and the staff handle the steady flow with speed and a friendly demeanor. Levain Bakery is worth trying for anyone looking for a classic NYC dessert experience. The cookies are rich, oversized, and memorable, especially if you enjoy soft and chewy cookies. While the sweetness and size may not be for everyone, it remains one of the most iconic cookie stops in the city, offering a dessert that feels indulgent and unmistakably New York.
