Great little mom & pop cafe; wonderful for breakfast/brunch/lunch. The breakfast sandwiches on croissants are my favorite, however I usually order take away and then add more protein (I.e. ham, bacon) . The red beans and rice are AMAZING. Worth a stop if you're in the area. read more

This was an extraordinary eating experience. The owner and chef, Matt, i believe, is a great host and server and a talented chef! We had the mufaletta and i would definitely recommend it and eat it again! We also had the beignets. I have never had them made fresh for me love that. They were superb. The closest thing i can compare them to is belgian waffle with powdered sugar, served hot and golden in the streets of Germany. And the coffee!! Our cups were pre warmed. An extra nice touch! Stopped in here for lunch in a Saturday, only because the Front Porch next door was closed. Grab a menu on the way in, and walk up to the window to order and pay. We took a seat and our black beans and rice were brought out first. They were good, but no real spice to them. I ordered the seafood gumbo, which had a nice spicy flavor to it - but ugh...those tiny little shrimp that look like they came from a can. Rubbery tiny flavorless shrimp. Which was so disappointing, as the water is across the street! We live at the beach!! My honey ordered a sandwich which he said was the best part of the visit. It's a quaintly decorated little house, with local paintings for sale lining the walls. None really my taste, but interesting to look at. I wouldn't go back, mostly because there are a dozen seafood markets within a few miles, that would have made the gumbo, well, better. read more

We used to eat at the previous location on Bay Shore Drive and really liked it. The food here is really good and so is the coffee, the new location is more centralized and was busy with new business, though I will say I prefer the bay view and atmosphere of the previous location. Now for the bad: it's difficult to enjoy a hot coffee when the AC is broken and it's so hot all you want to do is leave. The manager or person in charge at the time was not very friendly and she answered a request with a harsh "NO." The PB&J (pictured) was very difficult for my 5 y/o to eat because it was on a huge French roll. I think using a different type of bread might be a good idea. Tinting/mirroring the huge front windows and/or getting some blinds would of be a good improvement and would keep the sun from beating down on everyone. Get the AC fixed, treat people like customers and not some "locals" and make a normal PB&J and this could be a 4 or 5 star establishment read more

So good I came back 3 times (if not more) in one week. Tried the muffuletta, pulled pork, and a panini (can't remember kind). All were amazing. Had the homemade sweet potato chips- get them! Perfect amount of salt. Never had anything like them before but I love sweet potato fries so I had to try them. Would highly recommend! read more

I tried this restaurant for the first time recently. I ordered red beans and rice and was very pleased with the quality and taste. Just like being in Louisiana! The quantity was good, too. Found this in yelp on our way to the airport. We were very pleasantly surprised with this find. It's a cute little yellow house right on the water. There's a booth inside with a perfect view. I had the muffuletta, which was so delicious. The olives and bread were so good. My friend had the Cuban sand which and said it was amazing. Not expecting such great food and a pretty view! The owners put their heart and soul in this establishment and the food the create and serve. You can't go wrong with whatever you order, it's ALL home made - even the gelato!! And at $2 for a big scoop of icecream, you definitely can't beat that. Their baklava is unlike any other because again - it's HOME MADE! I love their chicory coffee along with the fact that I can use stevia or truvia to sweeten it up instead of those 'other - extremely unhealthy sweeteners' - anyone who pays enough to attention to carry an all natural sweetener shows me their paying attention to everything they carry and create in their magically tasty kitchen. My husband loves the muffaletta sandwich and po'boys. I always order one of their delicious fresh and crisp salads with either the rosemary chicken or pulled pork. Whenever I've taken anyone here they too have loved it! It has a ton of character, serves beer and wine, has the kindest owners, and offers live music some nights. Very inexpensive for the quality of ingredients and food you get. Salads range from $5-7 and about the same for sandwiches. However it is not bland like Subway or Quiznos. The atmosphere is charming and nice that they do offer beer or wine as well. I would recommend this place to anyone that loves excellent food. Try their gelatto, some of the best I have ever had. My boyfriend and I stopped in a few weeks ago for a quick lunch date and I had the salad special of the day with rosemary chicken added, I don't remember the name of the special but it was sooo good. Boyfriend got the rosemary chicken sandwich with a bag of sweet potato chips. I'm not normally a fan of sweet potatoes but I liked them a lot! I could tell they were very fresh and homemade.
