The menu had many things to choose from including a full breakfast menu and a regular menu with salads, sandwiches, soup etc. many different salads, gem, Caesar, Cobb, chef.. I chose the sesame ginger. You could add on protein for N extra charge (shrimp, salmon , chicken). I had the same ginger salad with chicken. The salad was quite big and the chicken was very good. The ice tea was fresh brewed and my server brought me a Cup to go without me saying anything. Nice clean and fairly quiet. I will be back.. the desserts looked good. read more

However, Cafe Bistro makes great daily specials and serves their food pretty quickly. You can't go wrong for the price and quality of the meal. I make it a point to try to stop by a mall if I'm in Florida. It's customary to stop inside Nordstrom and browse the latest trends. But, it's a treat to have lunch there. After doing some serious damage at the Clinique counter, I was hungry. I decided to give the Cafe Bistro another shot. I haven't been here in eight months, so I figured why not try it again. The restaurant is located on the 2nd floor. I ordered and paid at the counter. The cashier was pleasant enough, but not what I would consider friendly. No big deal. I was there for lunch, not to make friends. The dining room wasn't busy, but I waited twenty minutes for my lunch to be served. Went with the burger off the bun. Requested my onions to be sautéed. Ordered medium, received well done. Burger was a little dry. Ordered a bottle of water as my beverage. I was hungry and ate 3/4 of my burger and barely made a dent in the fries. As usual, the kalamata olive dip for the fries was delicious. The burger is served with a garlic aioli that I just love. They forgot to put it on my plate, so I waited a few more minutes for that. When I shop at Nordstrom, it's convenient to stop in for lunch. Prices are to be expected for a high-end department store. For me, this is a three star review based upon the food/service. To be fair, the server did offer to have my burger remade for me. I didn't have time for this, so I politely thanked her. It was my decision to eat my burger the way it was served. Surprisingly good food at a good value, considering it is inside a Nordstrom department store. We tried the crab bisque, chicken caesar salad, and cilantro lime chicken tacos. All were very good. The taco were on the small side but they were on the appetizer menu so not disappointing. The crab bisque was some of the best I have had. Got the French onion soup and Caesar salad. Both delicious. The French onion soup was so good - I'll be back for more. You order at counter and sit down, a server comes over to take your receipt of order and they will bring out your food and drinks. Not your traditional full-service restaurant, but mostly full-service. Team members were pleasant and we thought the service was good. I read mixed reviews, and can only speak for what we ate at the time and our experience, and it was great. Nice place to take a break from shopping. A less expensive, tasty meal. read more

I've been coming here since they opened and have always gotten the Chicken and Goat cheese Panini. Mainly because I love goat cheese and a warm sandwich. The real reason to go is for the Olive Aïoli they serve with the French Fries. It's delicious, I hated olives growing up and this sauce is so good that it made me open up to eating olives. Today we needed a brake from shopping and since everone was hungry why not enjoy the Bistro. The staff here is very friendly and helpful. Today I ordered the crab bisque, the french dip, and the white chocolate bread pudding. The crab bisque was hot, creamy, and tasty. The french dip was filled with meat, cheese, and onions. The bread soaked up the juice perfectly making for a meaty, cheese, and juicy bit. Now the white chocolate bread pudding is by far the best I have ever tasted. Absolutely delicious. I have been enjoying Nordstrom Bistros around the country for years and its amazing how consistent and delicious the food is store to store. read more

I just loveeeee coming here after doing some shopping! I was very pleased with how smooth everything went with the pandemic going on. Seating was fast, everyone had on their masks, and all the tables were spaced out. Our server Ashley was a doll! She handled all her tables amizingly being very busy and She also happened to be from New York as I was so we had a good chat about that. And, as always, the food was delicious! The food started to go downhill and we stopped going for many years. Ate there just before Christmas, deciding to give it a try again in hopes it had improved. Ambience and service still great. Stopped in for a quick lunch while we were shopping at Nordstorm's. Nice menu and lots of choices. The hummus appetizer was delicious and enough to feed 4 people. The margarita pizza is the perfect size and very fresh tasting. The french fries are very thin and crispy - just how I like it! The salads are also a very generous size with lots of fresh ingredients and great flavor. The chocolate mints they give you are done with your meal are amazing! Loved the service, taking COVID times very seriously and tables were also spaced out. Food came out incredibly quick. Will be back here whenever I am back in the area. You'd probably be surprised to know that the restaurant inside the Nordstrom department store is actually very, very tasty. I know I was! I wasn't really aware Cafe Bistro was actually worth stopping into until my dad took me there a few months ago. He always raved about the food. I thought to myself: "How can a restaurant inside a department store be THAT good?" I had figured it was probably a dumpy sandwich place where the food was mediocre. Boy, was I wrong. First off, the restaurant is located on the second floor. You give your order to a cashier and then you are seated at a table or a booth in the cafe. It's not particularly big, but I've never seen it super crowded so there's always been a place to sit. The waiter brought us our drinks and then we waited a little bit until my dad's French onion soup came out. I got to have quite a bit of the French onion soup and it's some of the best I've had, maybe behind Berns but ahead of the rest. The cheese is melted to a crusty perfection on the bowl and the soup is just salty enough without the taste being too overpowering. I usually order the salmon but I substitute the risotto for vegetables. The salmon is a perfect portion size -- not too big but not too small, either. All the vegetables I've had have been cooked pretty well and aren't too tough or too mushy from being cooked for too long. The butter sauce that comes with the salmon is divine. I have yet to try many other things on the menu, and still haven't gotten around to the desserts at Cafe Bistro, but everything I've tried so far has been really tasty and basically everyone I've ever gone with has said the same. Pricing is typical mid-tier pricing and service is usually really friendly and speedy. Definitely worth the stop and a good alternative to the chain "mall restaurants" you'll find elsewhere! read more

Found this gem while shopping for gifts and what a pleasant surprise! The food was spectacular and the service was amazing. After a stressful Black Friday shopping experience it was nice to have genuine service and great food during one of the busiest days of the year! I was hesitant to wait in line seeing all seats full but was greeted while waiting and also checked up on multiple times through the craziness. I never had to wait for a refilI and the staff was happy and engaging. Even told me about the Coffee Shop downstairs where I had a perfect cappuccino (hard to find!) I had not eaten here before and my friend wanted to eat here. The menu is very limited and very expensive. We both had a cheeseburger with fries which ended up with tax at around $19. We had a glass of wine, all choices priced the same, and the price was not posted anywhere. We received a 5 ounce pour for $10, and it was barely drinkable. Both of our beef patties were overcooked from what we ordered. Each of our tabs was $29. We should have waited and gone to dinner somewhere in the area for that price. I notice a wide range of reviews from 1 star to 5 stars for Nordstrom's café Bistro. Based on my recent and first visit, I rate my visit as one star at best, but probably many of the following items are correctable. Arriving at the entrance, no one greeted us. We picked up a menu at the entrance display and decided we would indulge and slowly walked into the seating area to sit down. Fortunately, seeing our hesitation, we were guided by several diners leaving the Bistro that we should place our order with the cashier at the entrance. Suggestions: Place a sign, or one more visible if it's there, to select a menu, review the selections, and place your order with the cashier who should have greeted us especially when she was not at all busy; just talking to another employee. Why not have the server take our order? Sitting down at our selected table as there were many available, we were greeted by a solemn server who smelled HEAVILY of cigarette smoke. That could/should be corrected. We commented on the different entrance and placing orders plus paying at the entrance. She said that was to speed up our order which it certainly did not and that is compared to the Nordstrom bistro at the Boca Raton Mall which we have enjoyed a number of times...all a positive experience. I ordered baked Italian meat balls and coffee with cream. It took a long time to be served even though the Bistro was not busy. While tasty, it was served lukewarm like it was left unattended by our server. Correctable! The dish they were served in was VERY small making the meatballs very difficult to cut. Easily correctable. I also ordered a second cup of coffee that took a long time to arrive and without cream this time. Easily correctable. Anyway, I had enough! Zero star rated service and we decided to leave and have our lunch elsewhere, which we did. The only consolation was that the shift manager refunded our money that we paid upon entrance. read more

Recently, I visited my Mom in Florida, and decided to take a break and do some shopping. Not knowing the area too well, I ended up at PGA Mall, visiting Nordstrom's...always a sure bet for me. After some satisfying shopping, I decided to lunch at Nordstrom's cafe. I was pleasantly surprised. The menu was full of terrific options, the cafe was clean and efficient, the decor was pleasant. I also enjoyed my server Ashley, who engaged me in some conversation, somehow sensing that I was in need of a few kind words. We talked about both our families that re-located to Florida from NY, and exchanged some nice stories. She, and the lovely food and service, made my day! I should start by saying I've been to this Nordstrom bistro dozens of times pre covid and it was always fresh yummy food. But I've been here 4 different times during this covid period and every single time has been terrible. The pizza is greasy and soggy. The salads with chicken were served with tough chicken that tasted days old that they tried to camouflage with sauce and dressing. I've seen newer chefs the last few times so maybe that is the problem. And the chefs are making the food right in front of you. But the last time I was in, one of the chefs was scrolling through his phone right in front of everyone and then immediately after that he started touching the food. I know it's hard to find good employees. But that is so disgusting to me. And enough to cause someone to get food poisoning. The servers are always so nice and so attentive, so I really hope they can get good chefs back in there. read more

While shopping, my husband and I decided to try for the first time. No host, never acknowledged, no signs. After a few minutes, a leaving guest explained to us we needed to pick up a menu, select what we wanted, pay at the cashier and wait for the server to take us to the table. Strange, but we complied. the server; Jarden, did not seem very happy to be there. Obviously she was a heavy smoker because the smell of cigarette was overpowering, making the situation very unpleasant. The portions were served in a very small dish, making maneuvering very difficult. Food was not hot enough, when my husband asked for coffee with cream, cream was never brought. When my husband told the server the food was not hot enough, I was on the phone on a work related call, Jarden interrupt me to ask if my food was hot enough. She should have waited, excused herself for the interruption or asked my husband instead. I got upset and could not eat any more. Jarden brought the manager, which first try to excuse the server, then apologized and refunded us for the meal. Café Bistro and the poorly trained staff ruined or lunch. Poor customer service and please.... management, put yourself in a guest place. You do not want to be served by a server that smells so strongly like a walking cigarette. My recommendation, do not go there, many other nicer places in the area to have lunch. Not Nordstrom quality. read more

I was so looking forward to having lunch here. When I got there I ordered the crabmeat salad. I was stunned when the plate came it was literally empty. There was hardly any crab meat a half of an avocado and greens. When I called over the waitress she hardly responded to me and told me that she was going to go ahead and bring the manager over. He never came over and when I finally called him over he explained to me that they give 2 ounces of crabmeat per platter. That is literally enough to fill a cavity in the tooth. I have been to many restaurants living up north and down here in southern Florida and have never experienced any restaurant to give 2 ounces of protein with a couple of greens and charge $18 For it. He went on to tell me that this comes from corporate and that's all they require and walked away. I recommend that nobody goes there. The size of the portions are pathetic. My Mom and I dined at Cafe Bistro last week and were very disappointed with the quality of food and service. Our table was dirty, no hot water available for tea...we had to ask for silverware and napkins since none were provided when drinks were finally delivered. The grilled shrimp salad was awful - the shrimp was burnt and dry; the lime cilantro dressing was all water, no flavor. The chicken gnocchi was even worse...chicken was bone dry, sauce was extremely salty and gnocchi were hard...it all tasted like someone just microwaved it, for a very long time. We both did not feel well afterwords (even though we hardly ate) so obviously the food was old and bad. We have been Nordstrom clients for a very long time (over 25+ years) and cafe bistro clients since moving to the area 8 years ago and have never had such a horrible experience. I met my husband while working here. I saw how every aspect of every dish was prepared. Everything is prepared in-house. Perhaps I'm biased but, this is my favorite place to enjoy a delicious lunch in Gardens! Fresh pizzas, salads, sandwiches, salmon, steak, soups, and desserts.
