    Cypress salad
    Natalie F.

Server was super nice! My mom got the Cesar salad with salmon and said it was excellent. I got the cypress salad which was also great. Walking through the restaurant there was a ton of dirty tables but I think they just had a huge rush. Overall great experience, this place always is:)

Another visit to Jay. Alexander's last night and I must say their crab cakes are my favorite in Palm Beach. There is absolutely nothing wrong with those crab cakes, they are perfection! I am a no breading involved type of crab cake, girl, and the very light Panko breadcrumbs on the outside are exactly the crispy crunch that's needed for the inside that is all wrapping and nothing else. The sauces they provide to accompany. The crab pigs are fantastic, and they are very generous with the size of the crab cakes. That has become like go to dish at J Alexander's these days. We of course had the carrot cake, the chocolate cake, which is so rich. I really appreciate the fact that there are no sprinkles, no chocolate chips, just chocolate cake and delicious rich, chocolatey, fudgy, icing chocolate sauce, and the perfect scoop of vanilla ice cream to go along with it. We also had the Cajun ribeye, which was on the specials menu, as well as the smoked salmon dip that was on the specials menu. There's a Thai chopped salad there and then the regular steak Maui, which is their house ribeye two side sides of there not your average macaroni and cheese, which is always fantastic. And we tried the brussels sprouts as well that was one of the special vegetables for the evening. The brussels sprouts were OK nothing special about them roasted with salt and pepper. The mac & cheese delivered as always :-) the salad Was fantastic as always. And the Cajun ribeye was seasoned nicely. There was minimal spice though so if you're a blackening Cajun season kind of person like me it was a little bit underwhelming, but still delicious. Anyway, all these choices were really good. The smoked salmon dip was pretty mild Yeah fantastic dinner. This was such a delightful dinner. J. Alexander never disciplines! And I'm always excited when we can get a nice early reservation at the PGA location because I need time for that amazing food to digest lol. Another review giving it to you, Straight No Chaser! Enjoy!

Couple of coworkers and I came here for dinner. Luckily I made a reservation and I highly recommend it cause it got a little crazy in there. The waiter was a younger guy and fairly friendly. He made jokes here and there as well. Now my coworker ordered a pretty little drink and said it was good, she couldn't remember the name. I went with a beer but when it came out in a little raggedy can I said no thanks! Not for $8 bucks. I ended up ordering absolutely nothing healthy, slab of ribs with loaded baked potato and their mac & cheese. The sides came out piping hot. The potato was really good and while they do openly express their mac & cheese is different and I had no expectations besides wanting it to taste good, it was not something I would rush to order again. Something in it was weird, I couldn't identify it. Now the bad part, those ribs were served to me cold/borderline room temp. Like really, they didn't even look warm, let alone hot enough for serving. I didn't send them back, just decided to eat it later after having a couple of the cold ribs. Uncharacteristically, I didn't take any pics of my coworkers' food but they said their meals were good. They were not first timers like myself so I would guess they knew what to order.

    J. Alexander's offers a fantastic dining experience, and the Wednesday soup is my favorite. It's like a creamy chicken noodle soup and is simply a must-try--rich, comforting, and packed with flavor. It's the perfect balance of creaminess and tender chicken. Their Cypress chicken salad is another hit, expertly crafted with fresh ingredients. While it typically comes with ranch dressing, the champagne vinaigrette adds a light and tangy twist that pairs beautifully with the greens. Whether you're in the mood for a hearty soup or a well-composed salad, J. Alexander's delivers on flavor and quality! The service is great during lunch time. Also the place is perfectly lit with an intimate feel.

We got to the location, easy parking and steps to restaurant. We arrived and immediately got seated. For our surprise it was brunch time, we decided to join for brunch and I am glad we did. I will say I was underwhelmed by the whole experience and happy I wasn't paying for the lunch because it was not up to the quality of how expensive it was. The waitress was extremely slow on providing refills and when I asked for suggestions she only talked about the oysters and nothing outside of the starters lineup on the menu. The restaurant was pretty empty for lunch so I thought she would've been more on top of it. We ordered some oysters which were decent but I've had better on palm beach island. The crab cake was probably the only item I was thinking wow this is good. The salmon was lacking flavor and quality so I barely touched it. It was also extremely cold inside and the music was blasting. The waitress just seemed ready to keep up charging us by pushing us to order more such as coffee and dessert and not checking in on us through the meal. I would honestly skip out on this restaurant and go to La marina or another Palm beach restaurant and actually get your moneys worth.

Everything from the ambiance to the food and even the service was phenomenal. Great dining room area with both an outdoor and indoor bar. We sat with the bartender AB that immediately greeted us with waters and their menu. They are currently running a pick 2 for $15.99 menu that has some pretty great options. We had 2 meals & chose the wings, blackened shrimp po boy with the small gumbo's. Wings were super crispy, juicy, and tender. With a nice light Smokey taste. They buffalo and blue cheese sauce was actually pretty impressive. The po boy had a good amount of shrimp to bread ratio, with a nice sauce included. The gumbo had a deep rich flavor, but was not overly heavy with fatty meats. We were also informed of the happy hour oyster special, so we ended up getting a few of the rockerfella and raw. The rockerfella was amazing with melty cheese, a nice garlic flavor, & served with crispy bread slices. The raw came with crackers, lemon, wine vinegar, and a tasty cocktail sauce. Both were delicious. Marco, the manager came and spoke with us about our experience which really showed the attention to detail this restaurant offers. After sharing our story of visiting New Orleans a few years ago and bragging about the beignets, he brought us 2 out to finish our meal. I have to say, these were better than the ones I've had at cafe beignet in NOLA. They were HOT out the fryer to the point where the powdered sugar was slightly melted. Crisp outside dough but gooey soft in the center. A unreal experience to end a fantastic meal. I would recommend this place to anyone and everyone. Luckily my sister lives 5 mins from this place but I would easily drive a hour or 2 when visiting from out of town just for this experience. Marco and AB really went above and beyond to make sure this was a special outing on a regular ole' Monday, and we could not have left happier.

From the moment we walked in, the welcome was freakin' awesome. The New Orleans vibe was absolutely on point and set the tone for a great meal. Our waitress was fantastic--friendly, knowledgeable, and passionate about the menu. She recommended her favorite dish, and it ended up becoming my favorite too. Now, I'm a country boy, so the deviled eggs just weren't my style, but everything else more than made up for it. The cornbread was incredible. Honestly, I couldn't decide if I was eating cake or cornbread--it was that good. The barbecue shrimp was outstanding and easily one of my favorite dishes (our waitress clearly has great taste!). The fried oysters were cooked to perfection, and the baked chicken was seasoned and prepared just right. The gator tail was great with the sauce. I've had scalloped potatoes many times over the years, but these were on another level--definitely some for the record books. If you're looking for great food, an authentic New Orleans atmosphere, and excellent service, Voodoo is absolutely worth the visit.

The kind of dish that makes you pause mid-bite and rethink your life choices--mainly why you haven't been eating this more often. The shakshouka is flavorful, comforting, and executed cleanly. And the waffles... listen--these waffles are not here to play. Crispy, fluffy, and dangerously easy to finish. Order them knowing full well you're not sharing. The menu truly lives up to the idea of "a taste of everything." There's so much to choose from that decision paralysis is real--but in a fun way. No bad options, just tough choices. The ambiance and outdoor patio were beautiful and made for a perfect waterfront anniversary dinner. The hostesses and wait staff surprised us with an anniversary card, which was such a thoughtful touch. We debated between splitting a bottle of wine or trying the prickly pear margaritas and chose the margarita, but it was overwhelmingly sweet and tasted more like fruit punch than a cocktail. We then ordered two glasses of red wine with dinner, but they arrived about ten minutes late, after we had already eaten most of the meal, and they were served ice cold. I don't mind slightly chilled red, but this tasted like it had been sitting in the fridge for days, which was disappointing. The food, however, was excellent. The crazy tuna roll, crab cakes, and ribeye were all delicious, and the ribeye was cooked perfectly. Our waitress was kind but didn't really guide us through the menu beyond saying everything was great. A bit more detail would've helped, especially since I wouldn't have ordered the margarita had I known how sweet it was. Overall, we would definitely come back.
