I go for their jambalaya. Use to order pizza as it's always good, but I tired the jambalaya once and it's the only thing I order now. Service can be hit or miss, most times, it's really good. We were greeted quickly and sat quickly, as well as addressed by our server. Overall, the ambiance was decent and so was our service. However, what happened to be off putting to me was the food itself. There was nothing inherently wrong with it, it just did not fit my tastes. I had their new pizza the Neapolitan Burrata. The main issue was that the Burrata was literally almost the entire of the pizza. I even added spicy pepperoni because I anticipated this, but it was still an issue. Have been going to this particular location for years (29) and never had anything but Greta service until recently. Recently the past four times I've been the staff was rude the place wasn't clean even asked for the table to be cleaned was moved instead and table was never cleaned. Silverware was dirty plates were dirty food order wasn't right Have decided sadly to eliminate this restaurant as one of my favorite go to places. Very sad. Arrived late during lunch period but it was still busy. The manager greeted us with a smile as he did everyone after us. He said he would have a table for us in a few minutes and shortly after we had a window booth. CPK has the same general look regardless where they are located but was clean and bright. The staff were very nice, especially the manager and our waitress. Even at 230 pm they were still packed and so it took a bit of time to get out main course but again it was served with a smile. The food portions were American style but tasty and a nice alternative to burgers and fries. I have rarely had a bad meal at at CPK and this one was no different. I live this chain restaurant. Food is always good not matter what you get. My favorite is the Cali Club pizza, which comes with chicken, bacon, lettuce, tomatoes, avocado and ranch. So good, recommend if this is your first time here. Their chips and white corn and guacamole appetizer is a good dish to start off with. And lastly their butter cake is to die for! Walking in there were a lot of customers at the time, we didn't want to sit too close to other customers at the time. We were offered a booth but we decided to sit outside where the food court was. The employees were very pleasant and helpful. We got the 2 lunch specials personal pizzas and soup. We got the sausage personal pizza with baked potato soup, and mushroom pepperoni personal pizza with tomato bisque. It was decent, I have definitely had better pizza before. My dad had the tomato bisque and said that it was good. My sister and I split the baked potato soup, we really enjoyed that. It came with 2 small pieces of bread and oil. I've been going to this restaurant sporadically for decades, and I know they change the menu every few years. This recent visit was my first in a very long time, and we sat at the bar. I was glad to see that calories are listed on each menu item. That's so helpful when you're watching your weight. We ordered margaritas on the rocks, and the bartender used Natalie's mix, which I like just fine. We had the avocado egg rolls as an appetizer, but I ate only one piece as they were too greasy for me. The dipping sauce was good. My friend ordered the carne asada pizza just for kicks and curiosity. It turned out that he really liked the meat and the crust, but the cheese part of this particular pizza was -- again -- too greasy. My salad, however, was a big winner. Crispy artichoke, goat cheese, and arugula salad. I loved it! The artichokes are sautéed/fried in oil (I'm guessing), and they crisp up. Even so, the calorie content was perfectly acceptable on a diet. I was surprised at how good it was and I've thought it about getting another every day since. Incidentally, a woman near me at the bar ordered a big slice of Red Velvet cake with ice cream and told me she had woken up craving that dessert from CPK. From past visits, I've always liked their desserts, although they switch those out as well. I was happy to see they still have Thai chicken pizza on the menu. It's been a long-time favorite for customers and has been on the menu for many years. Our bartender was great... friendly and accommodating. I've been doing a lot of mall walking the last few weeks as part of my work out routine. Especially with the heavy rains preventing me from going into the pool. Recently I passed by California Pizza Kitchen and decided to give it a try. I was pleasantly surprised. Considering to myself that I am not usually a fan of mega chain food places or fast food in particular, I was craving some pizza and this seemed like as good as place to try, especially in a mall. The place was fairly busy, but I was greeted by a cheerful looking young lady and seated immediately. The waitress was very nice and friendly, although her attentiveness could have been better. I despise having to flag down servers to get refills on beverages. I should make a mental note to myself to have them bring me two beverages at a time, that would help. I and ordered the lunch special. Pizza and soup. The pizza was pretty good, not amazing and definitely nothing I would crave again and the soup, surprisingly was really tasty. I could've just had a large bowl of that and I would've been very happy. Not sure if anyone should take my word on the pizza deal, but I'm a New Yorker, born and raised and pizza, like Chinese food, runs in my veins. This pizza was ok. Big question, would I go back again ? Sure. I wouldn't go out of my way for this place and I absolutely wouldn't be dreaming about their pizza, but if friends wanted to go, I would join in for sure. read more

CPK has changed quite a bit since we used to frequent it at their Wellington location. The pizza that I remembered as outstanding was very average. It lacked sauce and was extremely dry. Their pasta dish was much smaller than I remembered several years ago. It seems they have a more faster food type of atmosphere. Me and a friend Went here for a casual lunch right before my flight and it was very well cleaned up as well, and had good waiting stuff that came up and quickly asked for drinks and then followed that up with specifics on what we want to take for starters etc. We ordered two pizzas one was the Thai chicken pizza without the chicken but replaced with vegetables and the other one was the barbecue chicken pizza which was made with the vegan chicken. Both the pizzas turned out very good, and we greatly complemented by the Mango Starberry drink. Point to note is that, both the pizzas are on the sweeter side, esp the BBQ one, the Thai one has a baser peanutty taste, so, if you choose pick one of the two. After an afternoon of shopping for groom's attire, we decided to unwind and dine at CPK. We chose this particular venue because they had alcoholic beverages and were positioned in a convenient location in relation to Macy's. The restaurant was very clean including the restroom; however, we did endure an awful smell of urine during our meal. I'm not certain if a child wet the booth prior or if possibly we had a neighbor who struggled with hygiene. Nonetheless, CPK may want to check out the booths next to the window just in case and so others don't suffer. The menu offers a wide variety of adult beverages as well as appetizers and styles of pizza. Additionally, customizable options are available for carb watchers and gluten free folks. Two of us ordered a specialty cocktail and I ordered red wine. The ladies enjoyed their drinks and my wine was good. I like when it's served in a carafe so I can control the pour. Granted, I'm an "All In" kind of pourer. ;) For our meals, we each ordered a pizza. Two ordered with cauliflower crust. One of which was the shrimp scampi and the other pie was wild mushroom. I ordered the California Cobb on whole wheat crust, but switched the lemon pepper mayo for a Dijon vinaigrette. Yummy~ The arugula was so fresh and it paired really well with the accompanying ingredients. I tasted a piece of the wild mushroom pie and I'd definitely entertain ordering this on a future visit. I'm not a scampi fan, but my friend devoured her pie so it clearly was equally as good. Cory was our server and he was highly attentive. Our orders were accurately delivered and we didn't have to wait long when we desired something. In fact, he probably visited our table 3 times before we were ready to place our order. I'm more than okay with this because it beats the alternative. Finally, he was kind enough to bring us waters to go upon our request. California Pizza Kitchen is a bit costly for pizza, but they serve a delicious product and it's a great place to unwind after a day at the mall. It's been years since I've been to CPK. I've been to this location before and it's remained the same. It's located in the food court of the Palm Beach Gardens mall and the restaurant gets quite busy quickly. When I went the other day at the time it opened, there was several people that came in after us and more came in as time went on. I got the pizza for my son and they cut it up into small pieces, which was great. He was able to handle it and I didn't have to worry about him making much of a mess. However, my food took a little longer than expected to come out. I got the garlic cream fettuccine with multigrain penne. The waitress pointed out that it was ridiculous how long it was taking for the meal to come out after 20 minutes passed. After she checked on it, it quickly came out and it was delicious. There was plenty left over to take home to have for dinner. It is clean and there is plenty of room for strollers to be parked in the front of the restaurant. The staff was very nice about accommodating them and keeping them out of everyone's way when they weren't in use. If you sit on the side next to the mall, there is plenty of people watching to do. They even have restrooms for the customers, which makes it convenient without a wait instead of going to the ones that are located in the food court with a possible wait. read more

For this price point, I give this CPK location five stars. My family and I have been visiting the Gardens Mall CPK for 20 years. I used to work in the mall for years and ate their 2-3 times per week. The staff is always friendly and engaging, and willing to make any changes to their dishes for their customers. Some staff members have been their for years and feel like an old friends. Although it may look crowded due to the seating placement we were able to get a booth right away. The service was quick, we got our orders in, drinks and complimentary bread was on the table. The cousin ordered a Caesar salad with half a sandwich which was featured as a lunch combo ( wonderful idea for the indecisive minds) I ordered the house salad with a personal mushroom and sausage pizza...yes I was one of those that picked the picture on the menu bc it looked tasty. It was a good portion size for the price. I didn't care much for the salad but the dressing (Italian) was on point. I can drizzle that over anything. Pizza definitely hit the spot, wasn't too greasy with just the right amount of seasoning. The food quality was not very good at all. Ordered spinach dip and it was soupy and kinda gross. The "famous" BBQ chicken pizza was a huge disappointment. You can tell the dough is frozen and then thawed and used as needed. Service was terribly slow for really no reason. The location was not busy at all. Two in my party ended up leaving to go hit the mall before it closed. I will not be back. read more
