Went back to tell them after realizing how much ice was in the cup, and was offered milk and was told it's not going to taste like the horchata I had ordered it was only milk. You would think after paying $25, they would be apologetic and offer to remake it, however, the "owner" Natalie didn't offer an apology for the disappointment or offer to remake it, she just offered more milk and said everything is "pre-measured" and continued to charge me for another one when I had asked for it to be made like the horchata because i didn't want plain milk. I ordered another one with no ice thinking I would get a full cup paid $6.50 and was given a cup half full. I couldn't believe it! That's more than a gallon of milk!! THIS PLACE IS A RIP OFF! Cafe Bombon was Cafe Bomb! We happened to see this Cafe while walking around the West Covina mall. We checked out the menu and decided on the Triple Matcha Latte. We've tried Double Matcha Lattes at other coffee spots, but a triple?!? That's next level and of course we had to try it! The location is mainly for quick service and to go orders with a standing counter top to the side where you can hang out or snap a few photos of your drinks. As far as the ambiance, it's located in the mall so you can easily fine places to sit and enjoy. As far as that Triple Matcha latte, we ordered it with oat milk and it was ready in no more than 5 minutes. First sips of it were tremendously good. The matcha was great and with triple the amount of matcha it will give you that energy boost and focus you need. I'm not sure of any other locations that serve a triple matcha latte, but it's worth stopping by to try at Cafe Bombon. Upon perusing the menu, I noticed their Triple Matcha Latte and they also provided milk alternatives. I ordered the Triple Matcha with oat milk for my husband and I to share. The service was quick and staff was friendly. The location is clean and well-organized. This drink was one of the best matcha lattes I've had. It tasted of a premium grade. It was creamy, silky and not bitter. There was a bit of the powder sprinkled on top which elevated the drink. Each sip had me wanting more. I'm craving one as I write this review. ( in the same mall but different area) Place is cute and quaint, nice upgrade and perfect for a grab and go while doing some shopping. Staff is friendly and service is quick. I honestly can't believe what happened to the banana matcha here. It used to be a large drink for around $7.55, and now it's basically a small for almost $10. Going from a large for $7.55 to a small for $10 is absolutely crazy and makes no sense from a customer perspective. What's even worse is that the quality seems to have gone down at the same time. The drink is smaller, doesn't taste as good as it used to, and costs significantly more. If you're going to raise prices that dramatically, the quality should at least stay the same or improve not get worse. I used to enjoy coming here, but it's hard to justify paying nearly $10 for a drink that's smaller and lower quality than before. I had their Matcha with banana pudding cream.. it was delicious, I could tell that they use high quality matcha as this had a very nice taste and wasn't bitter. The banana cream was very tasty, and something I personally have not seen at other coffee shops. The service was friendly and quick, they were also giving stickers for Halloween. When I went it was decorated for Halloween very cute, and they most likely will decorate it for other holidays. Cafe Bombon is a new kiosk in Plaza West Covina. I was so excited to try this place because they offer Banana Crème Matcha. However, I was met with a lot of disappointment. The service was just okay, a little slow but the real disappointment came from the terrible tasting matcha latte. It was not worth the $9 spent... (paid extra for oatmilk). I'll stick to driving to OC for my banana matcha because this was not it. The matcha had a dull flavor and the banana crème was very thick. Imagine banana pudding floating on top of your drink. Stirring it doesn't help because it's so thick that the flavors don't blend together. It breaks up into clumps. My sister ordered one of the refreshers, and it was like drinking strawberry juice. It was like a "ridiculously sweet Capri Sun." The kiosk looks cute, but it's not worth visiting again. Starbucks matcha and refreshers taste better than this. read more
