When we entered, I was mind blown about the large interior. The space was set up with plenty of outlets along the walls for those who come to study and work. I appreciate the 7 Leaves chain for having a simple menu but executing it well consistently with quality ingredients. On this visit I had the Iced Mung Bean Milk Tea because it was later in the afternoon and I didn't want to ruin my sleep with caffeine. My all time favorite drink here is their Iced House Coffee, with 3 shots of espresso. When I want something refreshing I get their Iced Sea Cream Jasmine Tea. And my family's favorite is their Iced Taro Milk Tea. Love their product. Love that this location has a drive thru. Love the study-work ambiance they set up their seating area to be. Friendly fast service. Clean interior with plenty of tables. A little less than half of the tables have outlets but there are quite a few if needed. Great place to sit and study or get work done. At night it can get a little loud, as some come to play card/board games. They have some snacks as well as plenty of drink options so it's ideal for a long study/work session. There are two gender neutral bathrooms. My go to drinks are the Japanese Matcha Tea Iced & Jasmine or Oolong milk tea. On 02/20/2026 I visited 7 Leaves at 3:18pm. I ordered a large Sea Cream Jasmine Tea. Halfway through my drink, I felt something in my mouth and thought it may have been a tea leaf, but I was shocked to see it was a small, thin piece of metal, similar to the length of a staple. I have frequented 7 Leaves several times a week for many years. I often go to the Rowland Heights location and have never had an issue with service or drinks. I don't know how something like this can happen, but please be mindful of preparation and workspace practices. This situation could have been dangerous had I not noticed or if it happened to another customer. When I contacted the store after getting off of work, the staff was very apologetic and offered to remake my drink; however, I did not feel comfortable with doing so. read more

I'm really surprised this place doesn't have a better rating. The cafe is a really nice study spot, one of the few available in this area (as far as I'm aware). It's spacious with lots of seating and free WiFi, and almost all of the tables have access to outlets. Every time I've come here, I've had no trouble finding seats. They also have their own parking lot, so parking has never been an issue for me. I think their drinks are solid. They may not be as amazing as some other places (like Da Vien) but they're still good and more affordable. My family loves the mung bean drink here. Today I ordered the jasmine sea salt cream--solid drink. If they had one of the special lids that allow you to taste the cream while sipping the tea, it would probably be a lot better but oh well. Customer service is always great at this location. We love coming for their Vietnamese coffee and Thai tea. Drive through is always fast too. Been noticing the past few weeks each time we ask for light ice the cup is always filled 3/4 full of ice. This time we decided to ask for no ice and are advised by the staff that they have a "no ice policy". If you request no ice they will only fill up your cup 3/4 full of your beverage. If you want your complete drink with no ice they charge $1.25 extra. Again, staff is respectful, and I appreciate their transparency but it's definitely frustrating and a disservice to the customer as we would need to pay an extra $1.25 just to receive the drink your ordering at the price you believe it costs. Discovered seven leaves about two years ago so this review is overdue. This coffee shop has the best Vietnamese coffee, it's like literal heaven! The coffee is strong and the sweetness isn't too overpowering. I normally get mine easy sweet just because I don't like my coffee to be sweet in general. We always stop by when we're in the area. I do really wish there was one in the SFV ! They also have the best Thai tea in my husbands opinion. Their drinks are just so milky and if you add boba, it is sweet and chewy! Their House Coffee is consistently awesome. Tea drinks are solid. Macarons are alright, not worth the price per piece. Employees are nice and drinks in-store and in drive thru are made promptly. While they have a lot of comfortable, spacious seating and lots of tables with a lower noise environment for working on laptops, studying, reading, etc than other coffee shops like Starbucks, their WiFi needs to be updated. The entire time I tried using it, it was so snail-paced slow. There were too many people using it so the network issues made for lagging WiFi, but irregardless great working WiFi shouldn't have connectivity issues despite how many people are using it in the same proximity in the same building, so they need to fix it pronto. I ended up using Personal Hotspot from my phone for using the internet on my laptop. Minus 1 star for their WiFi here. read more

After spending the day at the nearby Ren Faire, we were seriously in need of something refreshing, and this totally hit the spot. My drink was just right, not overly sweet and with the perfect amount of ice. I added crystal boba this time, and it was such a good combo. I knocked a star off for continuously having to ask for less ice. Every time I go I accept it, but last time I went I asked and sent back twice and I am 100 percent truthful when I say my large cup was still half filled with ice. I told her "I asked for "very light ice" and she offered to remake. She hands it out 1/2 full of ice a third time. I just left shaking my head. I ordered the flavor of the month, Peppermint Bliss, it was mild and just right, not overly sweet. My previous visits was for a hot Chai Latte (tea) and was disappointed it was not on the menu. In my first and second visits, I enjoyed the refreshing Strawberry Hibiscus tea with real bits of diced strawberries and their Sunset Passion fruit drink. I usually LOVE coming to 7 Leaves, but my experience at the Covina location during the Lunar New Year promotion was incredibly disrespectful. The app promoted that customers who wore traditional outfits between January 29-February 4 were supposed to get a scratcher. The manager, Candy, insisted that scratchers for traditional outfits were only given out on January 29, despite the app stating otherwise and my friends having no issues at the El Monte location on this same day. After some back-and-forth, she reluctantly gave it to us, but with a dismissive attitude, saying she was doing it just to "avoid an argument." It's frustrating when different locations aren't consistent with promotions, but it's even worse when the staff acts like they're doing you a favor instead of providing good customer service. Lunar New Year is meant to be a time of giving and sharing good fortune, so when a promotion isn't honored by the manager, it goes against the core values of the tradition. read more

I've ordered via the mobile app a few times and every time I have to wait a good 10 minutes no matter how early I place the order, but today was the longest thus far. I watched orders come and go with no acknowledgment for how long it would be for mine to come out, ended up having to cancel my order and it wasn't until then that I noticed my ticket was still sitting by the register and hadn't even been touched. 30 minutes, who knows how long it would've actually been if I had stayed. They definitely prioritize their drive thru line so I would say stick to that no matter how long the line is. I found parking just fine because they were not busy at all. The inside of this place is pretty big and there were some people there relaxing. I got 2 large house coffee and my wife got her Jasmin Milk tea. We went to use the bathroom, just keep in mind that you need a code and only the right door will open with the code. This 7 Leaves location has a drive through and inside is pretty big. There is also plenty of free parking. My only complaint was the WiFi did not work at all. I was able to connect but there was no internet. Waited 10 minutes to see if it would start working but it did not. Had to leave to go somewhere else to study. Other than that, it is a place to study. Lots of mini tables for 1-2 people, and one large table. Not all tables have outlets nearby but there were quite a few that did have outlets if needed. My favorite drinks to get from 7 Leaves is Love Cream (Jasmine Milk Tea and Caramel) and The Barney (Taro and Mung Bean). Both are from the secret menu. Should lower the sweetness for Love Cream since there is Caramel, once you do, it is not too sweet and it taste good!
