Stopped at this little coffee shop next to my job. The inside is pretty small, but there is room to sit and enjoy your coffee. The service was fast and the barista's were really nice. I ordered a Tres leches latte. It was very good and smooth wasn't too sweet at all which usually happens with that type of latte definitely will be coming back. This was my first time trying them out, but I'm so glad I live close by because I'll be coming back regularly. We ordered the Shaken Cafe de Olla and the Spanish Latte - both iced - and they were delicious. On this particular Sunday, it was steadily busy, but the service, being as great as it was, had everyone in and out within a few minutes. To pass some time while sipping our drinks, my gf and I doodled on provided scratch paper with colored pencils a portrait of her dog. What a gem this place is. They are only open on weekends but I would love it if they were open during the week. The interior is a little small but has this interactive drawing project going on and it's so fun seeing all the drawings left by the customers. They were pretty funny. The employee is really nice and makes the drinks super yummy. My go to is the Tres Leches Latte where it is sweet but not too too sweet. Love this place! read more

Okay I've been sitting on this review for a while but The Brew House deserves all the flowers. This little spot in La Puente is genuinely one of my favorites. The drink menu is no joke! blended drinks, specialty lattes, horchata cold brew, Café de Olla... like where else are you getting all of that in one place?? I got the Dulce de Leche Latte and it was SO good. But honestly what makes this place special is the staff. They're so warm and welcoming, you feel like a regular from your first visit. There's also this whole corkboard covered in customer artwork on the wall which gives it the coziest community feel. Supporting this place is a no-brainer. It's local, it's unique, and the vibes are immaculate. 10/10 would recommend to literally everyone!! read more

This review will be on the longer winded end, think Crime and Punishment length of a Yelp Review but instead we will call it Good Deed and Reward as that is the only thing I have received from The Brew House. My review in two parts... There is not much of a coffee scene near Old Town La Puente. Having taught at a high school less than five minutes away for quite some time, it is tough to find a place to get a good cup of coffee that is does not end with bucks or mia. Nothing against those places, but finding a place with good beans and a great cup can be hard to do. This place checks those boxes. I've had both their drip and their pour over and there is nothing that gets the job done like a solid cup of coffee. This spot definitely does that. It is also clean and well lit, and you can tell that it is a place where folks are welcome to chat and sit or grab their drinks to go. The owner is awesome and you can tell he genuinely cares about the customers he serves and is intentional about being an anchor for the community. The notes left by former patrons and the overall vibe of the place attest to what I've said, and the warmth and comfort you feel going in can only be matched by the coffee and products they serve. This is the true definition of a local gem. Yes, this is a small business and it's important to support small businesses, but I think the takeaway for me is that they make a damn good drink here, and as a paying customer that that is what comes first. I was suggested this spot by a family member. I was eager to try since it's only opened on weekends. When I got there, I was the only customer. This is a nice coffee shop in la puente. My boyfriend and I travel around trying new coffee shops and we definitely like this place. Very cute place to get coffee, maybe some baked goods, catch up with friends or to get some work or studying done. It's located in Downtown La Puente and there's free Wi-Fi, seating inside, and a small table and chairs outside too. Staff are very friendly, courteous, and welcoming. Really enjoyed the community feel as you can contribute your artwork to the walls there. Very cute. We got the: 1) Horchata Cold Brew: -If you need a pick me up during the day and want something sweet, the horchata cold brew is the way to go. -Starts off with the strong, somewhat bitter coffee taste and then finishes with the sweet, cinnamon flavor of the horchata. -Delicious. 2) Cucumber Lemonade: -Super refreshing, not too sweet and not tart at all. -Perfect for a scorching day and I had to stop myself from inhaling the entire drink and allowing myself to enjoy it. -Even my brother who's mildly allergic to cucumbers said it was really tasty, after a safe tiny sip. 3) Hot Vanilla Drink: -It's as the name of the drink implies, it's a hot milky vanilla drink. -Sweet and simple, if you have a sweet tooth or want a warm version of a vanilla bean frappe, this is the drink to go for! -Also great for those who don't drink coffee or aren't in the mood for something fruity. AMBIANCE - Nestled in Old Town La Puente, which is going through major changes that I think is revitalizing the area. Hearing that there's a new coffee shop in the city I grew up in, I was ecstatic! The brown brick exterior somehow just fits. And I will say, the morning sun hits just right, coming through the windows. It's a great little spot. FOOD - For my first time coming, we ordered their Iced Vanilla Latte and Tres Leches Latte. The vanilla latte was creamy, the coffee was rich and not too "fruity" or "bitter". I think I could've used just a splash more of sweetener but it was a great cup of coffee! The tres leches was equally delicious - on the sweet side for sure but you really can taste the notes of Tres Leches coming through. A must if you're nearby! Stopped by the Brew House this Saturday morning. I'm trying to hold onto the holiday flavors everywhere, so I went with their S'mores Blend. The worker was friendly, explained what it was and offered to add coffee to the drink; which I agreed to. It's a smaller spot, but clean and spacious. My wife and I live in the area. We'd love to see our little town flourish, and envisioned a place where people could socialize and be proud to call their own. We're so excited to have our shop and offer classic coffee beverages while offering some unique, creative creations we hope people will enjoy. It hasn't been easy, but we know one day, it will be worth all the effort. We thank this community for keeping us inspired to open up, as there were some tough times. Unfortunately, I left disappointed. One positive is the overall aesthetic. I like the layout and the lighting design, and the globe fixtures give the shop a nice modern look. Unfortunately, when you look closer, the fixtures have visible dust and grime buildup. Some of them are high up, so I understand they aren't easy to clean, but this is where an occasional ladder or professional deep cleaning comes in. The shop has good design bones; it just needs more attention to cleaning and maintenance. The music itself is trendy and current, but it is much too loud for a work-friendly coffee shop, especially because the space is very echoey. I'm including a screenshot of the sound level along with a short video so people can get a sense of it for themselves. I found it basically impossible to concentrate without earplugs or noise-canceling headphones. Seating is also limited and isn't very comfortable. My husband's $8 Butterscotch Cream Latte actually tasted good, but after he finished it, we were surprised by how much of the cup was taken up by ice. The photo speaks for itself. Given that I had already been told that requesting less ice would result in a less-full drink, this really diminished the value for me. The bathroom was another big negative. I tend to judge the cleanliness of a business by its restroom, and this one did not give me confidence. The bathroom door and several surrounding surfaces looked like they had not been thoroughly wiped down in quite a while, with visible grime and buildup, and there were also holes in the wall. Even the glass entrance doors had visible smudges and residue. I'm including photos because these things were noticeable and contributed to an overall poorly maintained impression. There were no paper towels available. Instead, an old-looking handwritten sign was taped over the dispenser saying, "Please use the air dryer. Thank you!" I personally avoid hand dryers because of hygiene concerns, so after washing my hands I ended up using toilet paper and a toilet-seat cover so I could open the bathroom door without touching the handle directly. At that point, they might as well remove the paper towel dispenser entirely. Leaving an unused dispenser covered by an aged paper sign just looks lazy and poorly maintained to me, especially in a customer-facing bathroom. Aesthetically, I also wasn't a fan of all the taped-up paper signs. The front entrance has a large paper sign taped directly to the glass saying "PLEASE CLOSE THE DOOR GENTLY. THANK YOU!!!" along with several other smaller notices, and the bathroom has the aged handwritten sign taped over the unused paper towel dispenser. These are small details individually, but together with the visible grime, holes, and neglected surfaces, they made the shop feel more makeshift and poorly maintained than the otherwise nice design deserves. It clearly seems to be a popular spot, and my husband had far fewer complaints and enjoyed his latte. I also think the overall layout and lighting aesthetic have potential. For me, though, the underfilled matcha, ice-heavy drinks, standard-at-best matcha, loud music, limited seating, uncomfortable chairs, and overall cleanliness and maintenance made this a disappointing first visit.

I had a good experience at The Brew House (La Puente). I ordered the Spanish Latte ($5.75 + 59 cents tax). It's very affordable! The coffee is dense (not watered down) and uses good ingredients. I felt awake after sipping. I arrived at The Brew House (La Puente) on Sunday (around 9:15AM). Parking is easy. There's street parking, but it's also located by a city public parking lot. I easily found a parking space. Staff is very friendly and welcoming. Staff (name is Ada) is knowledgeable and hardworking. Ada worked hard, and Ada kindly brought the drink to my table. The coffee arrived in 56 seconds. FAST! As mentioned, I ordered the Spanish Latte ($5.75 + 59 cents tax). It's not amazing, but it's also good coffee. When considering the extremely affordable & low price, it makes this coffee an easy winner. Although I wouldn't drive a great distance for this spot, this business is a wonderful, serious option for locals. The flavor of smooth, clean coffee woke me up. On ambiance, The Brew House (La Puente) has genuine utility. There's customer internet with password; customers must ask staff for details. There's about five electrical outlets. And the location is very clean with upbeat, good music. There's about six tables, so the interior is small; however, it didn't feel cramped. The walls are charmingly decorated with small drawings from the local community. Overall, I had a pleasant experience at The Brew House (La Puente). Really enjoyed checking out this spot. The atmosphere feels cozy and welcoming without trying too hard, and the drinks were genuinely good. I ordered a Coconut Matcha as that is my current go to item. The drink was delicious and ready within a few minutes. I like the refreshing nature of the coconut matcha and it wasn't overly sweet. Customers filtered in and out during my short time in the location so they are clearly building a good customer base.
