Was very popular as it's been on TikTok - the line moves quickly, but be prepared for a bit of a wait. The interior seating is more limited so you can take your drinks to go. Very cute outdoor spot with lots of florals - great for pictures!

Absolutely Stunning Cafe. Cafe Botanico draws a crowd for both it's delicious beverages and beautiful interior, but also its fun vibe. Inside the cafe there is a photo booth where you can capture any special moment ! I ordered an iced spanish latte which consisted of espresso, condensed milk, and cinnamon. It was super tasty! Staff was helpful and efficient! Highly recommend.

This is a cute shop. They don't have many options for eating. My coffee was ok, nothing out of this world. They do have a photo booth inside the shop. My girls liked their matcha so maybe it's that, that people rave about. Service was island like. Not too fast and not too slow.

The most beautiful coffee shop in Old San Juan, hands down. Just absolutely gorgeous and so aesthetically pleasing! We definitely came for the looks and photo ops, and stayed for the drinks! Quick service, took literally no time! And the Matcha's were great! Perfect little place to stop and take pictures, enjoy the scenery & a snack!

Great coffee! Try the quesadillo. The Spanish iced coffee is incredible. Service is quick and the environment is relaxing!

This place just the hype. Match is not good, all you taste mainly is milk and the extra fruit (mango) you added to it. They either didn't put enough matcha or low quality matcha. Not worth the money.

Cute open air cafe with good coffee. The chia pudding was great. Busy in a good way!

A super cute cafe with perfect vibes! During a casual day of wandering the streets of San Juan, I stumbled upon Cafe Botanico and stopped in for a drink. As a certified houseplant fanatic, the live plants everywhere instantly caught my eye. I ordered an iced lavender latte and it certainly delivered! The drink/flavor was excellent and we got to sit inside and enjoy the open air vibes. Service was great and very friendly. If you find yourself in the area, don't miss the opportunity to enjoy a drink amongst the scenery.

The ambiance was so cute from the outside and inside. I loved the plants and paintings, the Photo Booth and jewelry for sale, so darn cute in here. The service was friendly and accommodating. They have a clean bathroom and aren't too spacious but a couple tables to wait for your coffee. I didn't get food but the food they had and sweet treats, looked so authentic and very moist. The only downfall was the coffee just being okay, and still being $10 each. What a rip off. You pay for the aesthetics here, so if you're into that, come on by.

Cafe Botanico is such an amazing local spot in Old San Juan! It's a small, cozy spot with an assortment of drinks, snacks, and baked goods. The cafe español was delicious. I could spend all day here. Make sure to check them out and say hi to their friendly staff.

This place is so good and the shop is so cute. All of the employees were really nice and welcoming! When one of my family members had questions regarding drinks they explained the process and showed them a photo of what the end result of the drink would look like. I ordered the iced red velvet coffee and it was sooo good. The bottom has a chunk/crumbles of red velvet cake that surprisingly doesn't make the coffee overly sweet. It's then topped with merengue and red velvet crumbs. Definitely recommend this spot if you're in the area!!

The coffee is too sweet. It's a cute ambiance, they have a Photo Booth. The workers are kind of rude

Grabbed an iced latte and an iced tea to go: the latte was smooth and well-balanced, not over-roasted like a lot of tourist-zone coffee shops nearby, and the iced tea was refreshing after walking the cobblestone streets. The menu keeps it simple -- espresso drinks, paninis (Cuatro Sombras, Yauco, Viejo San Juan), open toast with avocado & egg or salmon, and a solid breakfast lineup with guava butter toast and dulce de papaya oatmeal that lean into the Puerto Rican flavor profile. Loved seeing local sodas and juices in the fridge case alongside the usual water and La Croix. Staff moved efficiently even with a small crowd at the counter. Good spot to duck into for a quality coffee break in Old San Juan -- feels like a real local roaster rather than a chain, and the space itself is worth a look even if you're just passing through.

My sister and I got the same sandwich, Cuatro Sombras Panini and it was delicious! A bit heavy on the garlic aioli but it gave it a lot of flavor I got and iced caramel latte, I like when I can taste the coffee more than the flavoring and it was a perfect balance. My sister got their iced mocha. She likes her coffee sweeter than I do but she still really liked her drink too. The reason I'm giving this place 4 stars is because all the tables were a bit dirty. It wasn't busy when we first walked in but we still had to wipe down our own table

If you're on Calle San Francisco and the Coach store is to your right, keep walking till you see a yellow chemex sign on your left - that is the entrance to the coffee shop. Once you enter, it's a very tight space at the register and the alley is in the back with a few tables. The only menu I was able to peruse was that on their iPad which was annoying because I felt like I was holding up the line. I ended up ordering a small iced latte. I initially ordered it to enjoy in their alley, so I was told I can pay when I leave. I was there mid September and as much as I wanted to enjoy sipping my latte in the alley, it was super hot and stuffy. They could use some fans. Plus, it was taking forever to have the latte brought to me. As such, I went to the front to let the staff know I'll take it to go only to find him giggling with some friends. I guess that's why it took forever for me to get my drink. The latte itself wasn't bad, but considering the cost and the useless wait time, I would've gladly passed on this coffee shop.

We were welcomed inside where we ordered with an iPad. There were several options for drinks and pastries. The service was incredible; the barista helped us choose drinks and recommended us her favorite pastries. We were then escorted to the beautiful patio in the back, which is completely hidden from view on the street. The drinks were delivered to us in glass cups, and the pastries delivered covered by glass dome lids. The drinks and pastries were all 10/10. I am usually not a an iced coffee drinker, but I savored every sip of my drink. The mango pie and pecan tart were also delicious. Overall, I highly recommend Filtrado as a relaxing stop in Viejo San Juan. The service, drink, and ambiance were spectacular and I can confidently say that this is near the top of my cafe list!

They originally told us 45 minutes because they were at MAX capacity. The star for me was the jalapeño salsa verde--honestly one of the best salsa verdes I've ever had!The passion fruit mimosa pitcher was also great. We couldn't choose amongst all the empty tables, because staff were rude and dismissive. AC wasn't working, so we felt the humidity and heat. Ceiling fans weren't cutting it. We got the $25 wagyu burger and $20 Mallorca chicken sandwich, both of which were dry, bland, and underwhelming at best. The burger patty lacked flavor and there was no sauce or any accompaniments besides a very sad, wilted, thin slice of tomato and lettuce leaf. Pretty bad burger! The chicken sandwich was so heavily fried, we almost broke our teeth against the chicken. Insanely salty--we couldn't take more than a few bites. Felt so parched for the rest of the day. Fries were the best part of the meal--so salty and thin.
