The hot drinks are a good price honestly but if you get anything iced it's $8. Which is really expensive especially for an iced coffee (not latte). The same goes if you just want a tea brewed hot and poured over ice, price goes from $2.80 to $8. Got the nitro coffee, it was good but again just not worth $8. First off the drinks were overpriced which in today's world I get, what what I don't appreciate is when my $10 plus dollar cup of coffee taste like mud. I was a barista for many years so I can just taste that these shots of espresso were not made properly. I asked the gentleman if he could remake or at least give me something else that I could actually drink. The guy told me "this is the drink you ordered" and now I'm stuck sipping some disgusting mud. This place was horrendous all around. The food was terrible and the old guy had zero manners nor customer service skills. For starters 2 generic over sweetened iced coffees were over 17 dollars! Undercooked cold eggs and microwaved sausage was a wrap for us. We demanded our money for the meals back as they arrived at our table. I will say food and coffee were good. But the old man had terrible customer service and a shit attitude with me and my 4 year old son. We were enjoying our day and again my son who just turned 4 is curious and exploring. I wanted him to see the junky little things they display and mind you - my son didn't touch anything. I did touch some wood alligator and he tells me - "don't take it!!!" I wouldn't take that shit if he gave it to me. But the cranky old man bitter attitude was not necessary. Best Coffee in Old San Juan! We got the frozen coffee and latte. The frozen coffee was already sweet and strong. We tried the grilled cheese which was very good but could have used some oregano. The hot sauce was very flavorful and they also sell it in house. A barista also stopped by and had us try a sample of the banana hazelnut frozen coffee which was DELICIOUS! I'm a coffee snob, so wherever I travel around the world, I always seem to make my own "espresso tour." Long before the pandemic, I had the pleasure of visiting San Juan, Puerto Rico, where I immediately looked up third wave coffee. Finca Cialitos topped the list, so I took a walk to check it out. The cafe was super quiet on a weekday morning, and we were the only customers around. That always is a concern, especially since many of the other coffee bars we found were extremely busy. No matter, we figured it just meant we'd get extra special service, so we went inside to rest our feet and enjoy a couple of cappuccinos. I'm so glad we did! The coffee here is excellent. It's from a local roaster, so you can feel good about supporting small business owners as well as enjoy a bit of home-grown culture. (Side note: if you go to a big chain coffee house while traveling, you don't really love coffee)! The origin of the beans was clearly posted, and the employees seemed well-versed and could answer all of my coffee nerd questions. The barista felt a little aloof but was still friendly, and our cappuccinos were ready very quickly. I loved the smell of freshly ground coffee, and the latte art on our beverages was beautiful. I always travel with my own Splenda, but I had to sneak a little spoonful of the raw sugar that was on our table! The space is small, but there are some comfy places to hang out while you drink. We felt very welcome and appreciated, and the espresso was very good. Five stars because this is the exact type of establishment I love to visit: great product, super authentic, and feels local. Even on vacation, sometimes you still need a moment to sit down and take it in slowly. I suggest making this place one of your first day destinations in Old San Juan, as it's blocks from the plaza of the city and a great place to recenter yourself as you're making your way through your itinerary. As per usual, I got the espresso, as I wanted my tongue to see what Puerto Rican beans had to offer. Its complexities lay somewhere between Earthy and citrusy. Story has it, that the owners have their own estate and harvest straight from there. The espresso also comes in a cute color espresso glass, that makes for a good icon for your vacation photo album. I also got the "house mix" without reading the description, and came out with a chocolate coffee smoothie that was perfect for that decadent San Juan heat. It's the drink that convinced my travel buddy to repeat this establishment. The decor is also very colorful (in line with the San Juan colonial theme) and manages to accomplish the dreary dark French cafe aesthetic as well. They don't have wifi, so you can't do any remote work here but the servers are very personable. I asked for recommendations and I suggested "Birra Y Empanadas", a bar where locals frequent and currently my favorite spot out of my whole vacation here. read more

I'm on my own self guided Old San Juan Yelp tour...I bookmarked this place prior to travel and it delivered full speed ahead. I can appreciate the level of service that is provided from the entry way until you the leave the establishment. I looked at the menu and saw Rabbit turnover and thought it was some kind of dessert lol. I asked the owner what exactly is a rabbit turnover and he said well you know those little bunny rabbits...immediately stopped him and said say no more...I'll try it lol. I ordered a cold drink as it's in the high 80s here...don't worry the place has excellent A/C. I tried the house mix which was perfect. I could taste that this place makes a nice cup of strong coffee. I also had a separate shot of espresso just to try it on the side. The owner is full hands on and that I can really appreciate.
