    French Toast bar

Cute French cafe - next to a large parking lot with a few tables outside! It's mostly carry out as an FYI. I got the egg croissant with ham and it was delicious - warm when it comes out. And we split the French toast bar - definitely ask for them to warm it for you!

We enjoyed lunch at Chez Michel. It was fun looking around the market while we waited for our order. Chez Michel is a cute little French market located in The French Creek area of Avon. It is tucked down a hill, so you don't hear a lot of traffic from the main road. The market area had a large selection of interesting canned items. There seemed to be items you wouldn't find other places. There was limited seating on the inside and a nice patio area outside. We chose to sit outside because the weather was perfect. At first it didn't seem busy, but as we were sitting there a steady stream of people seemed to be stopping in. Chez Michel has a variety of pastry in addition to sandwiches. I do wish they had actual serving dishes and not all disposable items. I would have added a latte to my order, but did not want a disposable cup. If you like French cafes I would give this a try.

What a cute hidden gem! Walked in and the smell of baked goods was instantly taken in. They offer great options on sandwiches, breakfast drinks and treats plus an assortment of Jams, teas, desserts and fresh treats. Parking is easy there is a little bit of seating in and outside to enjoy and other little shops around. They offer gift baskets and gift cards.

This is an adorable little place but not really visible from Detroit Rd. Follow your GPS. We got a couple hand pies. The chicken, in the chicken bacon ranch one, was a bit tough & the ranch was barely detectable. The Pastalillo was unseasoned ground beef and roasted potato. The croissant was nice & destroyed within minutes. The raspberry vanilla latte was ordered iced and was quite refreshing. They also have a cooler with a good selection of canned/bottled beverages. The grounds provide a charming, shady spot for an summer afternoon break.

Wonderful smells await you in this small bakery/sandwich shop which has plenty of outdoor seating and parking around the building which appears to be an old house. Many homemade items like pickles, chow chow, spiced peaches, as well as cookies and brownies and mini quiche. The club sandwich had amazingly fresh juicy tomato slices with a hint of salt I think (was really great) and turkey, bacon, and ham on a folded ciabatta pita like round. It was pretty darn good with melty chreese and a perfect amount of Dijon.

If you have not been here before you have to go. Now! I am a self-confessed bakery addict. Cinnamon rolls are my downfall. Since we moved up by Lake Erie we've been searching for the best bakery. I believe, after an exhaustive search, we've found it. The cinnamon rolls were a perfect mix of roll, icing, and cinnamon. The chocolate chip cookies were awesome. We also sampled a slice of cake. Everything was spectacular. Aside from it being a cute shop, the staff are welcoming and super friendly.

This is a little place in Avon and although they don't have a seating place inside the outside sitting area makes up for it all. We went in on a hot summer afternoon, we ordered a Kevin, a chicken handpie and a lemon turnover! The Kevin was ok, the chicken handpie was delicious - took me back to my days in England at the market place waiting for freshly baked handpies, the lemon turnover was lovely too filled with ooey gooey lemon curd - so refreshing and perfect for the summer afternoon! Might visit again just for the handpies!

Lovely little bakery with real pastries and they are deliciously hot first thing in the morning. Just know there is no seating so it's a pick up and leave but absolutely love this place! Will be back!

Stopped in while window shopping in the area. This place smelled so good once opening the door! Cute store with bakery. They carry jams, jellies, pickles, sauces, etc. in the front of the store. I tried a vegan cookie after asking if they had anything dairy free. It was chocolate chunk and besides being vegan, it was also gluten free. Very good! And I brought a cookie home for my son - not dairy free - Reese's cookie. Looked delicious as well. My son enjoyed his surprise!

Delicious food, great service!…read more We stopped in for an early dinner and were greeted and sat right away. Stefan was our server and he was fabulous!! I would absolutely request to sit in his section again! He was very attentive, answered our questions, had a lot of passion, and really seemed to care! He also got our orders just right with all the special requests - which he assured us was the perks of their restaurant making things for each dish - you can customize as you need. Three of us had burgers: - Heckburger as listed on the menu, with fries - Heckburger with chicken patty, heck sauce on the side, Swiss cheese, no tomatoes or onions, and substitute onion rings for fries (slight upcharge) - Salmon burger with onion rings Burgers were delish. The brioche bun makes it! The chicken patty was great flavor! Both the fries and the onion rings were delicious. I'd likely order the fries instead of the onion rings next time. We were all happy with our meals and would order them again! Our fourth person ordered a half house salad and the wild mushroom ravioli. The house salad was a generous size and very good! The wild mushroom ravioli was soooo good! The pasta was delicate and the flavors went so well together. Our server shared that the pasta is made at Antica Italian restaurant right next store! After trying that dish, I'd absolutely go to that restaurant too. The restaurant has a great bar and a decent size outdoor seating area too! It's very nicely decorated too. I hope to return!

Lot of tables and I can assume it gets crazy loud during top hours. It is pleasant inside though. The food was also a mix. Lobster Bisque wasn't the worst We've ever had, but close. Not a busque. Not a chowder. More like a heavy soup. Flavor was more imitation crab than Lobster. But like most bars nobody complains as they drink with their food. The Gnocci alla Vodka however was amazing. Best I've had in Ohio. The gnocci wasn't perfect, but the sauce was fabulous. Gritty, full of sausage and the bite of the vodka sauce was very reminiscent of a good bolognese. Bread was a poor choice for this meal. Pretzel bread is great for burgers and beer but not for delicate flavors. Miss there too. Low review for service and food. I'd go back to try it again to re-review but it's a firm 2. Better places in the area to go.

We ended up doing some serious window shopping and also got a very filling lunch here of tea, sandwiches, fruit, and kettle chips for about $55 after tax and tip. I could gush about how precious the whole place was, but if you have ever had afternoon tea in an old, historic home, then you get the idea. The menu has so many yummy options but we decided on getting tea and our own sandwich meal. I love sour cherry jam so I got the HammyJammy sandwich ($18) and my bf got a caprese sandwich with added chicken ($16 plus $4 for chicken) and we each got peach iced tea ($3). After about 15 minutes, our lovely server came back with the LARGEST PORTIONS EVER! Fortunately, we loved our food so having large portions of it made us both very happy campers. My ciabatta was fresh and crusty, the ham slices were thiccc, the bacon was fatty and salty, and the jam was generously applied. We also both recieved a good amount of fresh fruit and abive average kettle chips. Guys, the ham sandwich I got was so unbelievably good that I ate half there and then ate half very slowly at my home, enjoying every bite of the thiccccc ham, salty bacon, and generous swipe of sour cherry jam on the oversized ciabatta roll. My meal filled me up, of course, but I wish I would have ordered a half dozen more to eat for lunch every day this week. #soooobsessed. I can't think of anything negative to say. I really can't! While we didn't buy anything from the shop (I am trying to buy less stuff), we had a great time looking around, saw some fabulously unique items, and enjoyed a wonderful lunch together in a historic home. My boyfriend and I liked Tous les Jours when we went to the Lyndhurst location when it opened about a year-ish ago. It wasn't perfect though and we had some minor quibbles. So while in the Avon area in July 2026, we stopped in for a snack. Inside, it is quite cute! Pretty packaging and lovely baked goods everywhere. Unfortunately, the women's restroom was a bit of a mess. The floor was a little dirty nd the toilet paper holder was busted up. But it wasn't terrible. This was just a snack break for the two of us, so we didn't order a ton. I got the coffee bun ($3.50) and a small korean iced milk coffee ($4.39). My bf got the smores croissant ($5.50) and a red bean bun ($3.10). His croissant was stuffed with marshmallow cream. He had fun eating it. My coffee bun was basically a brioche bun with a dusting of coffee. Call me basic, but I actually really loved it! Although, I gotta know how in the world was my korean iced coffee only 60 calories with all the half and half, whole milk, and syrup? It ended up being too sweet anyway but I did finish it because it cost me almost 5 bucks! I really liked my coffee bun and my bf enjoyed his red bean bun. He ended up wishing he had ordered the smores Belgian waffle instead of the croissant since the smores part of the croissant was only some icing on top of a regular croissant. Overall, I paid about $18 for 4 items, 2 of which we would order again. I liked the drinks at Tous les Jour better as well as the aesthetic, but my coffee bun was a real winner in the pastry department so we will call it a tie. We are glad we finally tried out Paris Baguette!

BUTTERY AND FLAKY PASTRIES!! Established in South Korea so this bakery consists of a mix of…read moreEuropean and Asian baked goods. I finally visited Paris Baguette in February 2026 and I arrived around 6:30am. They opened this Avon, Ohio location in June 2025. I visited a second time in March 2026. Paris Baguette is owned by a South Korean food group, much to my surprise. They only have about 2 locations in Paris, France. Most of their locations are in Asia (majority in South Korea). Other locations are in North America and Europe. ORDER -- Walk in and to your left are tongs and a tray. Pick out your items, place them on the try, then head to the counter to pay for them. Sit inside and enjoy the delicate bites or take your order to go. PASTRIES/BREAD -- Arrive early to get pastries because they normally sell out. They sell milk buns (bread) which is popular in Asia. There are a variety of pastries to choose from. During my 2 visits, I got the ham & cheese pastry ($5), Fruit Bite -- Raspberry ($3.00), a sweet potato pastry ($4) which I got for free because of their free pastry offer, and a pepperoni pastry ($5.69). All of the pastries that I ate were delicious. My favourites were the sweet potato pasty and the ham & cheese pastry. The sweet potato pastry is described as a "buttery twisted pastry with sweet potato and custard cream, sprinkled with black sesame seeds." -- this is a unique and tasty pastry. I noticed cakes for sale by the slice and whole cakes up at the counter. PRICES - Fair and standard. Yes, it will be expensive but that isn't surprising as most bakeries aren't cheap. The reviews complaining about prices should just be aware that this isn't a full asian bakery where the prices tend to be a bit lower. This is a mix of European and Asian. In addition, bakeries will not be cheap. SEATING -- This is a smaller cafe but there are about 7 tables and chairs to sit on plus a counter at the back to sit on. Overall, their baked goods are delicious and fresh plus the bakery is clean. Customer service has always been attentive and friendly. I'll definitely be back. The only downside is if you arrive late, you may not have any options left to choose from plus the baked goods may not be as fresh as evident from my 2nd visit in March 2026 when I arrived after 6:30pm and they only had a few pastry options left. TIP 1 -- If you order the ham & cheese pastry, just simple ask them to heat it up for a few seconds before you eat it which is what I did. Otherwise, it won't taste as good because it will be cold as their baked goods are placed in display cases all day. Who wants to eat cold ham and cheese? Not me (haha). TIP 2 -- Download their app to get a free pastry with a purchase. The less valued item will be free. The sweet potato pastry ($4) that I got was free when I visited in March 2026. If you don't want to download their app, I was handed a sheet of paper with discounts after I ordered so be sure to ask for it when you are paying for your items. I didn't even know about their app yet until after I received the piece of paper with discounts. **** GOAL of 250 reviews in 2026 - 61/250 total reviews in 2026 - 902 total Yelp reviews - Reviewed on 30 April 2026
