We really enjoyed going to Cafe Davina. While it was slammed with people, they were efficient at taking orders and preparing the food/drinks quickly. They have indoor and outdoor seating. We loved the beautiful magnolia nook that had seating in the middle of a barrage of magnolia trees with lights all in the middle. I've included the picture of the entrance below. Great food and drinks options!

We really enjoyed our first visit to Cafe Davina. We were in the mood for brunch and wanted to find somewhere new to try. My friend and I both found this place on Yelp and figured it must be a sign to try it. lol I was excited seeing crepes on the menu especially unique flavored ones. I went with the Peach Pecan Streusel Crepe - delicious! Sweet but not too sweet. My Maple Iced Coffee was delicious and refreshing, as well! The staff were friendly and helpful throughout our meal time. The atmosphere is so cool. A converted, old style house. The grounds are also very pretty. We tried the macaroons which my friend was nice enough to share. Very tasty as well! I look forward to going back and trying their panini sometime soon. In the area? Check Them Out!

Cafe Davina is such a cozy, warm, friendly place to have brunch! They have tasty almond croissants, macarons ( I tried every flavor), and crepes. The fig, prosciutto, goat crepe was delicious! Decor is beautiful. I love the art pieces and the books . The staff was so nice about all the questions I had. The macaron flavors were raspberry, vanilla, chocolate, pistachio, lemon, and caramel. I had all of those plus a caramel latte. Yum! They have a self serve water station with regular and lemon water. I highly recommend Cafe Davina for a relaxing brunch and a sweet ambiance.

Don't be the first one to give less than 5 stars! Because the ambiance and friendly service truly are notable! This B&B has its cute private driveway to 2 small parking lots. There's even a photo studio in the back (not open on a Sunday). As you enter there is a huge foyer with menus on a round table, to the right is where you order and to the left are rooms of Victorian feel that are for dining ... and let's not forget to mention, the divine sunroom where even on a winter morning and gloomy gray skies and rain, the plush bench with toss pillows and cafe tables add to the charm of upscale relaxed dining. Upstairs am told are bedrooms for B&B which I'd love to try someday! There are sections of the lower level which can be explored. The food selection: crepes, paninis and other brunch items. LOVE that even their signature lattes are unique: I got the Suzy Q which is latte with vanilla and cardamom. I got a large, enough to enjoy the whole morning. For crepe I love it that they have Brie and fig jam... this time I requested that the ham and Brie crepe and typically apricot jam be replaced with my fave fig jam... they were so nice to accommodate! Can't rave enough about this place, a definite gem worth the drive to. Now if Jacob Elordi (Heathcliff!) serve my latte....

This is such a cute tea cafe. It's connected to the Pinner House, studio, provisions store, and so many great photo opportunities. Service is pretty quick. It was extremely packed. I've never seen it that packed on the weekends, but Thursday morning was a hit. Overflow parking is located on Finney Ave. The french toast was yummy (definitely a crepe) . any sister enjoyed her crossaint and her latte. I had the chai tea latte which was flavorful, but I forgot to sub my milk. So I only tasted it.

This is the cutest coffee shop nestled in a quaint neighborhood in Suffolk. It's a house. A beautiful house that has been redesigned. The staff are really nice and helpful. I always have to compare drink offerings to Starbucks, and they were able to give me comparable options that were on par with what I'm used to. We found seating outside under the big beautiful trees, and they brought our drinks and crepes out to us. My crepe was so tasty! I had Prosciutto, Goat Cheese, and Fig and my husband had Honey, Brie, and Fig Jam. Our drink selections were Birdseye Maple and Suzi Q. Everything was really good and I loved the atmosphere! 4 STARS! It was a little pricey but I would definitely visit again!

@cafe_davina 231 Pinner St Suffolk Virginia 23434 Tuesday - Sunday 8:00am - 2:00pm People say this cafe serves delicious crepes, lattes, and paninis. They highlight the huge portions, fresh ingredients, and accommodating service. They also like the cozy atmosphere and outdoor seating, and yeah they were right. Cafe Davina gives off excellent European vibes. It is a charming spot nestled in the Suffolk, boasting beautiful decor that sets a warm and inviting tone. They are such a solid spot and definitely a solid cafe perfect for coffee, teas, crepes, and other food. I personally struggled with what to get. But everything I did get was amazing! The meal was delightful & delicious. Overall, Cafe Davina is a lovely cafe with a distinct European touch that I would definitely visit again. Such an amazingly sweet little café on a wonderful (and recently built-up) property. Came here with a pal for breakfast and got the Suzi Q latte and prosciutto and fig crepe (with Brie instead of goat cheese). Both amazingly delicious. Service was friendly and fast! My friend had the caprese-esque crepe and a cappuccino and loved it also. We sat on the covered porch area with tons of light pouring in on a sunny morning. I would advise to get there before or close to 9am. The place was slammed by 10am (it was also a federal holiday though, too). The property itself is small and delightful, boasting of a magnolia tree with extra seating (don't miss the magic of that) and a boutique-like building selling wares on the weekends. We ended up speaking with the owner who I would classify as "dry and bothered". She wasn't overly friendly and wasn't that interested in talking. I was definitely put off by that, but nevertheless, we had a nice experience at the property. Don't miss Cafe Davina. It's a total gem!

    Cortado & avocado toast.
    Gabriella R.

The food was great! I had an avocado toast and my friend got something else, we split it and it was really good. The cortado I got was okay, didn't wow me. I'm not sure if it was the pull or the bean. But overall it was good. The actual location is beautiful. I can understand the hype around it and the excitement, its truly really cute. I wasn't a fan of the people in the area. The service from the coffee shop workers was great, outside of that I felt like I was in Get Out lol it was odd but the shop and workers itself were really sweet.

It was so adorable here. We went for a quick bite for brunch. left full and happy. There were big windows & the food came out quickly. The staff were also extremely friendly and spoke with a smile.

Strawberry Nutella Crepes and Avocado Toast

Lovely establishment, great for breakfast/brunch with amazing scenery for photos. The staff were helpful and friendly and food came out timely. Ordered the Carrot Cake and Banana Bread Latte, both great! Also had the Strawberry Nutella Crepes and Avocado Toast. Again, both remarkably good and packed with flavor. Definitely recommended.

Wonderful service! And great food and drinks! Chi cappuccino tea was beautiful! And I had the best avocado toast with egg and balsamic vinegar reduction breakfast!

As for me the Spicy Sausage Omelette was really really good. The sausage had a bite of heat but nothing crazy. Not sure what they used but don't stop - it was that good. We both also had Sweet Teas. We were warned from the start - they are dark and REAL sweet. Which for me was perfect. As for the service: there was one lady (dam forgot her name) taking care of all the guest and she did great. When I say taking care of - I mean everything. Bussing tables, sitting folks, taking orders, and cashing out. Again she was wonderful! The place is neat just like many have said before me. Old 80's type stuff on the walls and tables. Now let me address something that some past Yelpers clearly have an issue with. There are small indications of the owners political views within the location. Nothing crazy at all and unless you really look for it you won't notice. Some past yelpers I who clearly don't agree used this to bust down their Yelp review. That's ridiculous. If the owner wants to voice their opinion- they have every right. It's their place - with their money on the line and their time vested. They clearly treated every guest wonderfully and that's all you should really focused on. So looking for a very good meal (breakfast) at a nice little joint - go on in and enjoy. I'm sure we will be back and might even shoot for the lunch menu next time.

The vibe just feels overwhelming instead of welcoming. The coffee has also gone downhill severely. It doesn't taste the same as it used to, and the quality just isn't there anymore. One positive was that I was offered a sample of the pressed juices, which I appreciated. That was a nice touch and good customer service. The ambiance is very, very, very dark and not really cozy. It feels more bare than inviting. There are only tables and chairs and a single couch, but the couch isn't facing the TV and there aren't any lounge chairs. If you're sitting on the couch trying to have a conversation with a friend, you basically have to turn sideways the whole time, which isn't comfortable at all. The layout just doesn't feel thought out for relaxing or hanging out. Overall, the atmosphere could definitely use some improvement to make it more comfortable and welcoming.

I love this area of the city - feels a little small town/a little suburban. I have the coffee passport and was excited to try this new-to-me spot. Mudita sits just off Ocean View Ave practically on the beach. On this visit, there was ample street parking, but I dare say it is tricky on weekends and during the summer. It is in a pedestrian-friendly area, which is a plus, so it's easy to walk to. They do make a point to remind you not to park in the lot belonging to the adjacent shopping center or risk being towed. When I stopped in, it was empty except for one table. I let them know this was my first visit and the staff was happy to tell me about seasonal specials. They have a variety of teas and coffees. I do wish they had a sample of their food menu where they take orders. I didn't notice it until I picked up my drink, so I'll have to return when I have more time to peruse it. For my first visit, I wanted to try a seasonal special drink and opted for the Vietnamese Egg Coffee. It was described as an Americano style drink with egg custard foam. They offer decaf which is a plus so I selected this. It was ready in about 5 mins and was absolutely delicious. The only downside was the size. I wasn't expecting an espresso sized beverage for the price, but probably because I'm used to a Starbucks Americano which is bigger (even for a tall) and has slightly more hot water. The flavor was impressive and I much prefer the espresso Mudita uses! Overall, a great experience. I don't often venture out to OV, but I'll definitely stop back in when in the area!

I have been here several times to pick up food, but this was my first time actually going inside to order. The line was long around lunchtime, but it moved quickly. It is fast casual style, so you walk down the line choosing what you want and then pay at the register. I honestly had no idea that was how it worked before, so I was prepared to wait a while. I was pleasantly surprised at how efficient everything was. I was in and out much faster than expected. While putting my order together, the man helping me handed me a sample rib over the counter. I am a very socially awkward person and do not handle unexpected moments very gracefully, so I probably reacted a little awkwardly. That part was on me. The rib was GOOD though. He was very kind about my reaction and even handed me a napkin. The whole staff was friendly, asking how my week was going and checking in to make sure everyone was happy. Even though it was busy, they clearly care about customer service. The food was great. The garlic and green onion sausage had so much flavor, and the bananamisu was the perfect sweet finish. I originally went in hoping to order the BBQ oxtail, but they were sold out within two hours of opening, which honestly says a lot about how good they must be. I had also gone the day before around 7 PM and they had already closed because they were sold out for the day. Just a heads up that they do close early if they run out of food.
