If you're looking for a great customer service and an amazing crepe be sure to stop by Lamia's Crepes! I stopped by here due to the Cupcake Wars and stayed for breakfast! Which was my plan! So happy to find out that there is a location in Norfolk because I was really missing the Town Center Location. Greeted immediately! [[HIGHLIGHT]]Small but very cute place![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Great selection of crepes! I had to get the Lamia's Crepe it's made with Biscoff which to me it the absolute best!! The hot chocolate was very good as well!! Next year they should try to do a biscoff flavored hot chocolate and decorate the cup with a little mini crepe. (Hint hint) By the way I would definitely go back! The owner is super sweet and we had great conversation!!

Amazing Crepes!!! First time going here today and it did not disappoint! Highly recommend if you're looking for an amazing Crepes!!!

The first thing when u come in they will greet you with smiles! [[HIGHLIGHT]]The ambiance is very chill.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The crêpes were so good! I tried their orangina and I recommend it on hot days, it's very refreshing and light to drink (it's a sparkling citrus beverage).

Lamia's Crepes is a one woman show. The owner of the restaurant was very kind and puts in a 100% effort to all her customers there. [[HIGHLIGHT]]There isn't much seating, but you can ask for it to-go or eat it there in the cafe.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Highly recommend! There is street parking if you go in the early morning, but on the weekends, you'll have to park in a garage and walk here.

Just love this place!!! Every time I am in Norfolk I have to come for a crepe. Some day I'll try something different but the prosciutto is by far my favorite.

Sweet or Savory, sweet or savory get one of each Service is wonderful and crepes even better. I happen to pop in during the cocoa wars which is an annual event in downtown Norfolk and I will say that this hot cocoa was impressive! Give it a try and vote for them I will definitely be back to try more

Huge crepes! I personally had the chicken salad crepe. I was feeling a savory crepe, but the selection of sweet and savory has you wanting to come back to try more.

Lamia's - what happened?! We absolutely LOVED our first experience here when we were in town last - we stopped by for a quick breakfast, and ordered the following: +Salade de Poulet - thin crepe filled with a generous helping of fresh homemade chicken salad and brie cheese; this was super delicious and such a good choice for those who enjoy chicken salad and want something more 'savory' to eat; the chicken salad was creamy and dressed perfectly; I really liked the melty brie cheese that went perfectly with it +My Mother's - thin crepe with butter and sugar; this was made so well! It was buttery, a little candy-like crispiness to it, and even had this great crystallized deliciousness on top that seemed like it added some slight citrus-y/brown-sugary notes - so addicting! Couldn't stop thinking about this place, and the hubs and I vowed to prioritize this place as a required stop when we we returned. So, on our most recent visit, we ordered the following: +My Mother's - this time, the crepe was a bit too thick, and it was super dry; hardly any butter, and no crispiness, and seemed like the sugar was missing; it was actually bland +Prosciutto - I was kind of suckered into ordering this, as I wanted to try the Saumon; however, this was described as being pretty tasty, being filled with prosciutto ham, goat cheese, honey, raspberry compote, and drizzled with balsamic glaze; unfortunately, I wasn't a fan of the thickness of the crepe itself, and the prosciutto was super stringy and seemed to have an off color to it; there was definitely a lot of whipped goat cheese and a generous amount of the compote, but I didn't really enjoy it Honestly, even if we had ordered something else, I think it would still have resulted in a very underwhelming meal. We realized it was a different employee who was making the crepes, so I think that made such a difference... Not sure if we would return, but if we did, it would definitely be one of those walk-bys to see if there were specific individuals who were creating the crepes... otherwise, it would be a hard pass or trying out their other location in VB. +inconsistent crepes T____T +limited indoor seating, and outdoor seating available +friendly staff +metered street parking

Dropped in for breakfast with the kids. This is a small shop with not much room to sit and eat, so ordering to go is your better option. The crepes are made when ordered and to my surprise they are huge and filling. They have a wide variety to choose from depending on individual preferences, from sweet, savory to create your own. The combination of flavors are complex but also compatible. My favorite is the brie and marmalade, its best to eat them while they're fresh and hot, don't let the crepe sit too long in your to go box or you wont enjoy it as much.

    Finally back for my crêpes!!

The lemon drop martini was one of the highlights of the night -- smooth, refreshing, and perfectly balanced between sweet and tart without tasting overly sugary. Definitely one of the better lemon drops I've had lately. The Black Spice wings were packed with flavor. Crispy on the outside, juicy inside, and coated with a sauce that had the perfect mix of sweet heat and Caribbean-style seasoning. They were addictive. The lobster egg rolls were another standout. They were crispy, stuffed generously, and paired with a sauce that complemented the seafood really well without overpowering it. The lobster flavor actually came through, which isn't always the case at a lot of places. The cabbage was tender and seasoned with a tasty spice which was delicious. On top of the food, the atmosphere was stylish and energetic with great music and a fun crowd. Perfect spot for date night, brunch, or drinks with friends. Service slowed a little once the restaurant got busy, but overall the experience was worth it. The chef even blessed us with a sampling of a new catfish egg roll he is thinking of putting on the menu, and like everything else it was amazing and worthy of menu placement. Would definitely come back to try more of the menu

I called ahead of time and asked if they took walk ins and was told they didn't, so I made reservations for 6pm. With this restaurant being located off Granby St., I figured I'd better find the location first before finding parking. Upon arrival, I almost drove right past it. The only sign they had was a "Black Spice" sign in the window, which was very easy to miss. Thankfully, we found a close parking garage and it was a short walk to the restaurant. We were seated as soon as we walked in and the place was practically empty. Before getting settled, we asked if we could sit at the tables with a booth (for comfortable seating) but was told that those tables were reserved for parties of 3 or more. We understood, but funny enough, there were two (yes, two) ladies sitting at a nearby table with a booth! Insert side eye lol! We started with drinks and appetizers. The drinks were okay but not very strong. We ordered the CrabMac and the Lobster Egg Rolls. The CrabMac was good but the Egg Rolls seemed to miss the mark a bit, for me. I think they would've been better without the cheese. For our entrees, my friend ordered the Salmon and I ordered the Braised Short Ribs. My friend said her Salmon was okay but I wasn't a fan of the Short Ribs. They were covered with a very interesting, bbq sauce that I didn't quite enjoy. I've ordered Short Ribs before but I've never had them with such a thick, bbq sauce. The Mashed Potatoes were garlicky and very tasty and the Sautéed Spinach was so good, I ordered another side of it. Once we finished eating, we asked for the check and my bill came up to $91.80! I just knew they had given me the wrong bill lol! They automatically added 15% Gratuity on the bill without our knowledge. Our server was great so I was going to tip either way, it just would've been nice to be notified ahead of time. Unfortunately, there wasn't anything I ate that would justify spending that much lol! The staff were very nice but I'm sure I won't be returning again. By the way, no one ever came to sit at the table with the booth, so we definitely could've sat there. SMH!

Even with shorter lines, it was SUPER SLOW. Even after we got to the speaker box, we still had to wait 5+ minutes to order. We ordered and waited some more. There was a lot of riffraff around this place. Kids and teens riding around it on bikes throwing huge rocks at cars. I couldn't believe my eyes. Once you're in the drive thru line, there's no getting out of it unless you're able to ride over the curb. I really didn't feel safe while waiting in that line. I was waiting for the gunshots after those kids were throwing rocks at moving cars. They were asking for trouble. Anyway, we got the food & it was fresh for the most part. The service needed help & the speed of service definitely was poor. We may try a different location out if we are in a pinch. I won't come here again.
