READ THIS BEFORE VISITING My friend and I ordered two simple crêpes and ended up waiting about 20 minutes. After waiting 10 minutes, I politely asked how much longer it would take and was met with a very rude response, even though there was only one person ahead of us and one mobile order. While we were waiting, the staff began speaking in French assuming we wouldn't understand them. My friend does understand French, and we heard them calling us "impatient Americans" and mocking us for asking about our order. That was extremely disrespectful and unprofessional. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The environment was chaotic and unpleasant. Staff were yelling at each other in front of customers, the ordering machine was broken, and the place smelled bad enough that it made waiting uncomfortable.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] When we finally received our Nutella crêpes, we had to take them to go because we were already late. The Nutella was watery and spilled all over my clothing because the flimsy cardboard box didn't close properly. The crêpe itself was hard and the fruit was mushy. I also saw a worker pull up his pants and dig into them with his gloves on before continuing to prepare food, which was extremely unsanitary. We absolutely LOVED our first experience here when we were in town last - we stopped by for a quick breakfast, and ordered the following: +Salade de Poulet - thin crepe filled with a generous helping of fresh homemade chicken salad and brie cheese; this was super delicious and such a good choice for those who enjoy chicken salad and want something more 'savory' to eat; the chicken salad was creamy and dressed perfectly; I really liked the melty brie cheese that went perfectly with it +My Mother's - thin crepe with butter and sugar; this was made so well! It was buttery, a little candy-like crispiness to it, and even had this great crystallized deliciousness on top that seemed like it added some slight citrus-y/brown-sugary notes - so addicting! Couldn't stop thinking about this place, and the hubs and I vowed to prioritize this place as a required stop when we we returned. So, on our most recent visit, we ordered the following: +My Mother's - this time, the crepe was a bit too thick, and it was super dry; hardly any butter, and no crispiness, and seemed like the sugar was missing; it was actually bland +Prosciutto - I was kind of suckered into ordering this, as I wanted to try the Saumon; however, this was described as being pretty tasty, being filled with prosciutto ham, goat cheese, honey, raspberry compote, and drizzled with balsamic glaze; unfortunately, I wasn't a fan of the thickness of the crepe itself, and the prosciutto was super stringy and seemed to have an off color to it; there was definitely a lot of whipped goat cheese and a generous amount of the compote, but I didn't really enjoy it Honestly, even if we had ordered something else, I think it would still have resulted in a very underwhelming meal. Dropped in for breakfast with the kids. This is a small shop with not much room to sit and eat, so ordering to go is your better option. The crepes are made when ordered and to my surprise they are huge and filling. They have a wide variety to choose from depending on individual preferences, from sweet, savory to create your own. The combination of flavors are complex but also compatible. This spot is so teeny, but so perfect. When we got there, it had just started to downpour, so it was a tight squeeze getting in the door- standing room only (as all the tables were taken with customers eating). Now, there are only enough spots for about 8(ish) people to sit inside, but outside the seating options are plentiful. One of the ladies working offered to dry off a table that was covered, but the rain was coming down sideways, so we just waited to sit inside. When you come here, and you should, make sure you have time to wait. The crêpes are all made to order, and if there are any other customers, the wait will be more. It is well worth the wait, so do yourself a favor and wait it out. I got the Mediterranean, and my significant other got the goat cheese and added roast beef. Not only do they have an open kitchen to watch your crepe creation be made in front of you but it was thoroughly satisfying to eat. It was loaded with toasted marshmallows and I could taste caramelization paired with the graham cracker crumbs topped with chocolate syrup (the sauce was a tad too watery for my liking but that's me being picky.) I do wish the actual spot was a tad bigger as it's rather snug fit but that's the least of this business' worries. My roommate was like can we come back tomorrow and I don't think she was joking after she missed the Monte Cristo on the menu! I visited Lamia's Crepes yesterday with a meetup group yesterday because of the Hot Cocoa War. I tasted about four different hot cocoas and Lamia's had the best hot cocoa. It was not very sweet. The lady was nice enough to accomodate a group of people for the hot cocoa wars even though the shop was supposed to be closed. Let's start with the positives... Cute, quaint, clean inside paired with an awesome customer experience! While this is not necessarily a negative review... it's more of an admittance to me not being a "crepe fan". :-/ Let me explain... So I thought I liked crepes, apparently I don't. They are entirely too chewy- are they supposed to be?! I don't know because again I can't remember if I like them or not and the answer is now a solid, NO! BUT!!!! Oh but, the inside of the s'mores crepe was HEAVEN on earth as I scooped the insides out with a spoon I realized that it doesn't matter what Nutella is on, it's always a winner for me. We also ordered the pomme crepe... it was stuffed with a homemade apple compote. The apples tasted like they were picked and jarred from my grandmas apple tree back in the late 80's. So what did I do? I scooped that out and ate it too! If you enjoy crepes, which I'm sure if you come here you would because DUH... you will enjoy it.
