Thai Flavor Hot Soup with miso base
Stefanie C.

Very delicious hot pots with good service and ambiance! The amount of ingredients put into the hot pot has gone down over the years but this place is a family/friend favorite. Staff here is always friendly and everything I've tried on the menu I have enjoyed.

Came during the week right before dinner time and it was a good call because shortly after they started to get quite busy. Staff was friendly. Music playing was on point. The whole vibe was chill. The hot pot was really good and we enjoyed the popcorn chicken. The pork belly wasnt anything special, the popcorn chicken alone had more flavor. But other than that they had plenty of options for everyone. We also ordered a Thai tea in a large size and it was huge. We were pretty happy with that. The prices were great for the value. We definitely plan to come back here.

We came here for lunch from out of town and loved this place. The service was, the girl was so nice, the place was clean and big enough but still reminds you of a mom and pop's place. The food was excellent. We got the popcorn chicken, gyoza and the Malaysian hot soup. Those all tasted great but the gyoza really stood out! I would back if I'm in the area again!

Always a plus coming here on a cold winter day... especially after a heavy leg workout day at the gym. Staff is always welcoming and pleasant. I was actually in the mood for Tonkotsu, but had a last minute change in what I wanted. No matter what Ive ordered in the past, its been absolutely delicious.

Passion Fruit Flavor Iced Green Tea

This is my third time coming in to the gem. I ordered the popcorn chicken as an appetizer. It was crispy and tasty. I asked for the sweet spicy sauce and ranch for dipping. For my meal I ordered the Curry Ramen (not pictured, I forgot to take one as I was super hungry and excited!) My drink order was a passion fruit green tea and I added lychee jelly and boba. Ramen was a bit spicy as expected. If you don't eat spicy foods regularly I wouldn't recommend this for you. I added lemon to balance the spice a bit. But I would rate the dish 10/10. Just wish it was chicken for the protein instead of pork. But that's me just being picky. The drink was refreshing and boba was a little hard (not so fresh) but still good The young woman that served me was friendly and very knowledgeable of the menu. Only negative for me would be that I had signed up for their rewards type program with my phone number during one of my last visits. And recently I received a text saying "We miss you here at Cafe Dazzling! You get 1 FREE ICE TEA W/ HOT SOUP PURCHASE on your next visit." I asked to redeem it and was told that it is only for the hot pot type style soups. I thought Ramen was a hot soup? I mean it was temperature hot when I received it. Maybe the promo message should specify to say Ramen not Included* Overall this place is delicious and has great service so I would definitely recommend it

Thai Milk Tea with Boba

We were craving Boba tea on a Saturday around 8:45pm and decided to check this place out. The place was packed. We were only ordering drinks but this is a full restaurant with food such as appetizers and hot pot soup. We were greeted quickly by a friendly server, even though it was busy- and placed our order, the server directed us to a table to sit to wait. I thought that was cool, even though we ordered to go. Cool murals on the wall and an upbeat atmosphere. Drinks were great, just what we wanted. My Thai Milk Tea was delicious and the Boba was perfect. We now want to return to try some food.

I've been here several times with my family over the years. This is a good local spot for hot pot, especially on a cold day. I've gotten the hot pot several times in the past, and I really liked it. During my most recent visit, I decided to try something different and ordered the Curry Chicken Rice. Overall, the Curry Chicken Rice was okay. The dish was quite spicy for me (I do have a low spice tolerance). The menu didn't mention anything about it being spicy; otherwise I would've asked for less spicy. Additionally, the rice was a little dry. The chicken, however, was good. It was juicy and tender. Service was good. No complaints. The restaurant has a casual ambiance. I really like the artwork on one wall. Whoever did the drawings and lettering did an amazing job. My family and I will definitely keep coming here, especially when we're in the mood for hot pot and want to stay local for dinner.

Spicy Miso Ramen

Went here after work with family. Originally we were suppose to eat at another restaurant but the wait time was too long, so we decided to eat here instead. Thank goodness we did. This restaurant is a long time restaurant serving hotpot and ramen dishes. The service was great, got greeted right as I walked into the restaurant and got seated instantly. The customer service here was really good and our waitress was super awesome and make sure we were okay in our dining experience. The ambiance was okay as well. I really like the decor they had on the walls and also the "Cafe Dazzling" name written in chalk was really nice. I also liked how they had multiple tvs in the restaurant playing assortment of shows. The food was good, appetizing and hot. I order Spicy Miso Ramen and fried calamari. The ramen was tasty and flavorful, meat and eggs tasted good and the soup was very flavorful. I would wish the noodles were cooked less because my noodles were tough. The fried calamari was amazing and the sauce they gave with the calamari really complemented the squid. I also ordered a side order of there Garlic Fries and they were really good as well. Very garlicky taste and the fries were crispy. Overall I give this restaurant a solid 4/5 star review and will definitely be back because this is the only few restaurants in Tracy that is open late night.

Great food and great service! We enjoyed our hot pot that night (Taiwanese style and Thai). The popcorn chicken was delicious as well. Definitely hit the spot on the cold winter night

Been curious with this restaurant and finally had the chance to eat here. We went for lunch with my family. My husband and son ordered Hot Pot, my daughter had Basic Ramen while I ordered Crispy Pork Belly over rice. We also ordered Crème Brûlée Toast, Strawberry Pyramid Toast, Thai Milk Tea Super size. Overall, it was ok.

I'd been here a couple times for to-go and this was my first time dining in. I love that they're one of the few places in Tracy that's opened late and was the perfect place to meet with my friend. They have soups, snacks, boba, and dessert. I just got boba and an order of popcorn chicken with a side of ranch dip. The portion was generous enough for 2 to share. The service was friendly. My friend and I stayed almost till closing and the staff was kind in not rushing us out. I ordered the Japanese Miso to-go for hubby and he ate it up real quick. He enjoyed it. Also the okonomiyaki was tasty as well. This is a good place to meet up with friends and closes late for Tracy.

Ask the Community - Cafe Dazzling

Do they take Apple Pay here?

Hi, the last time I was there (two months ago) they did not take Apple Pay but their Website says they take nfc payments which includes Apple Pay.

I see they have a hotpot and ramen noodles. Then there's the add on page. Can I add on things to ramen or only hotpot?

Yes, with an additional fees of course.

Is their ramen noodles fresh or instant?

Definitely *not* instant. Justin L. is on crack.

So many great options on the menu for everyone, even those that don't eat fish. The food is always fresh and delicious. They have so many amazing tasting things I recommend you try at least one thing new every time! If you're dining in they have plenty of seating to choose from including bar, sushi bar and regular restaurant dining tables of all sizes ~ they seem to be able to accommodate larger parties as well. Chicken Karaage (1/5) We were very disappointed. It wasn't true karaage, it felt more like frozen popcorn chicken with super thick batter. Not good at all. They also forgot the mayo that typically comes with it. I had to ask, and they brought out spicy mayo on the side. I only knew to ask because I've had karaage many times before, including during the time I lived in Japan. And I'm not comparing it to Japan standards, I've had great karaage here in the U.S. too. This just wasn't it. We ate a few pieces and then let our server know we couldn't continue. The server was very nice about it, and the manager removed it from our bill, which we appreciated. Ramen (2/5) When it first arrived, it had a slightly off smell and I was immediately hesitant. I didn't want to judge it too quickly, though. The broth ended up being very pepper-heavy, which was... interesting. Not necessarily in a good way. It just wasn't something I'd order again. Beer (5/5) Hubby loved his beer! Our only note is that we wish we'd been told it was the giant bottle size , that thing was huge and only hubby was drinking that night. Overall: The service was friendly. I'd skip the ramen here and come back to try their sushi instead. That seemed to be the real star of the restaurant.

It's unfortunate but I was pretty disappointed with my recent experience at Kimono Sushi. This…read moresmall sushi restaurant used to be my absolute favorite spot to stop at on my way from the East Bay out to Fresno and the Central Valley for work. I really loved this spot. The first time I ever came to this restaurant and tried their Ichiban Maki, I was hooked, because the knife skills needed to cut the cucumber so thin in order to literally make a sushi roll wrapped in a cucumber was amazing to me. But like many restaurants, I feel like it no longer gives me that same exciting feeling when I go there, and I definitely do not feel that I get the same value that I used to get. Very different today from how it was 2 years ago. In my most recent visit, I sat at the sushi bar like I usually do. When I placed my order, the waitress let me know that they were out of the Ichiban Maki, because they were out of the thin cucumber wrap. It's not that they buy this. The chefs have to make it and they have to cut it themselves. I know this is a tedious process cuz I've watch them do it myself in a previous visit. Ironically, there were two sushi chefs behind the sushi bar just standing there when I was ordering. I guess it's easier just to say that you're out of something rather than have your sushi chefs spend the time cutting up more cucumber wrap. Being that this is one of your most popular roles, I would think that it would be important to always have the cucumber wrap available. And if you do run out, maybe you would ask your your sushi chefs to start cutting some more instead of just standing there talking behind the counter. But maybe I'm just crazy. Either way, I ordered the Ichiban anyways, and instead I substituted soy paper wrap for the cucumber wrap. I order the ichiban all the time because it doesn't contain rice. So wrapping it in soy paper is just another way to wrap the roll and still enjoy a roll that doesn't have rice. The problem is, this is a $14.95 roll and what I got on my plate was something the size of a $5 roll. This thing wasn't even big enough to be calling an appetizer. I pointed it out to the chef and he just started at me like (you get what you get). I was kinda shocked but I didn't say anything more. Just ate my little roll and moved on. I also ordered a raging fire roll which does contain rice. My hope was at least with this roll, I would enjoy it and leave the restaurant feeling filled and satisfied. No such luck. Once again, I got a roll that was extremely small, covered in sauce and definitely not worth $15. It was basically the size of a cucumber making roll that I buy for my kids. But a cucumber making roll is $4 or $5. This roll is $15 and again one of their "Chef Specialty Rolls". Super embarrassing if this is what you serve as your chef specialty. Thankfully for me, I had started my meal with two appetizers. The nigiri sushi app and the sake fin. Both were great, but they are appetizers. What can I say. In the end, I spent $60 by myself to stop and grab dinner on my drive. Frankly, I left still feeling a little hungry. I know that sounds crazy being that I ordered two appetizers, two sushi rolls and a miso soup, but I'm not kidding. I was pretty disappointed. Maybe it was an off night for the chef. Even the best restaurants and chefs have bad nights. I may give this restaurant another try at some point because I still love the Ichiban Maki when it is made properly, but if my next experience is like this one, and if I continue to see sushi rolls the size of my pinky, it may be my last experience. Sushi is expensive enough as it is. The next time, if I do go back, if they serve me a what received tonight, I would probably send it back. Be better. Maintain high quality and provide value, and your customers will stay loyal. If you head down the cheap road, you will end up with a very quiet restaurant.
