I've been coming to Cafe Dazzling for years and normally the food is good and the service is okay to bad as the owner is sometimes in a mood and charges more money for things like sauce and silverware. I ordered take-out today and then went to the restroom while my food was being prepared, when I exited the bathroom, I was told that the restroom was for "dine-in customers only." California law requires that customers be allowed to use the restroom but that is besides the point as I'm sick of the nasty attitude in this place. I have been here on two occasions and have had the boba and hot pot, and neither times have I been really impressed (though this comes from a person who lives in SoCal where there are boba and hot pot places on every other block). The restaurant is clean and has a modern feel to it; the purple velvet chairs remind me of the type of furnishing I see at Hong Kong cafes which gives this place points for nostalgia. Each time I have visited, there are plenty of table open and they do to-go as well. The boba here is OK. I have gotten the Oolong Milk Tea and Earl Grey Milk Tea. I judge milk teas mainly by how fragrant and strong the tea flavor is, and nothing really stood out to me on both instances. It's decent enough for me to come again if I am in the area. As for the hot pot, I have tried the Japanese Miso and it was pretty average. I wasn't really impressed, but it was filling and cheaper than I'm used to. Ordered the miso soup and it was very tasty! U get a choice of black or green iced tea with your food and it was refreshing. My parents ordered the Taiwanese and it's supposedly mild but when they got it it was really spicy. Even they could barely eat it and they eat spicy food. Other than that it was yummy. The $5 basic ramen bowl with shoyu broth is so good and you get to add your own toppings...you really can't go wrong with it. Crepes are really good and the boba has been great every time I've been!! Service is a little eh, seems as though the servers don't have much experience and could use a little help. When our drinks are dropped off we literally have to get up from the table and walk across the restaurant to get our own straws...kinda weird. This place is so cute! They have velvet fur chairs that tie the whole place together. My friend and I shared a curry hot pot. It also came with either black tea or green tea, we got the green tea and it was so sickly sweet we couldn't even drink it. Ask for it unsweetened if you can. Once we got the hot pot we had to wait a couple minutes after the waiter blew out the candle because it was literally boiling hot! The broth was suuper yummy and the fish balls were my favorite! They had huge slices of tomatoes, though which I thought was weird and so did my friend. They also serve boba! My friend got taro - and she liked it and I got regular milk tea which was good. What was weird was that mine was served in to-go cup while my friend had it in a glass...i never asked for it be in a to-go lol. The service honestly was pretty sucky, we never once got asked how the food was or if we wanted to light up the candle underneath to warm the hot pot. My other friend got ramen and she said she really enjoyed it. Will come back to try all the other hot pot flavors they have. read more

I really wanted to like this place and give it five stars but there's just something off. The interior aesthetics is a bit tacky and the velvet chairs was an odd choice for a restaurant but that's beside the point. On my first visit, I ordered the ramen with no add-ons. I am a huge ramen fan and was hoping Cafe Dazzling would be my go-to ramen spot in Tracy. Unfortunately, the ramen was just average. The ramen broth reminds of an instant noodle I've tried in Taiwan. For an instant noodle, it was tasty. For it to be ramen at a restaurant, not so great. If you're not experienced with Japanese ramen, you may find the ramen here delicious. Since they're known for the hot pots, I came back the second time and brought my family along. The co-owner who's always there is very friendly. She warned us the Taiwanese hot pot is extremely spicy and went on to say how she thought it was funny that everyone wants to order the Taiwanese hot pot on their first visit. The whole concept of individualized hot pot is Taiwanese. Of course people would gravitate to the only Taiwanese flavored hot pot. Because of the spicy-ness of the Taiwanese hot pot, we opt for the Thai and miso hot pot. The Thai broth was bland. It could definitely use more Thai spices to up the flavoring. On the other hand, the miso hot pot was pretty good. The broth had more flavoring and I actually wanted to finish the soup even after finishing the meat and veggies. This leads me to the toppings. The ingredients were the best part of the pots. Cafe Dazzling is generous with its meats, veggie, fish cake, fish balls etc. I believe one of the pots also offers shrimps and clams, unlike Boiling Point (probably the most well-known Taiwanese hot pot chain in the US). For drinks, we tried the milk tea boba. It was average as well. The boba itself was tasteless and over cooked. The customer service is great but they clearly need more employees at night. My family and I dined on a Saturday night and we waited 20+ minutes for our food, hunted down the waiter for water and walked to the register for the check all because they were understaffed. Which is understandable for a new restaurant. I would definitely go back again and this time I'll bring another group of friends. This time I'll be trying desserts. I added another star since they are a new restaurant and are still figuring out things. I do hope they improve and execute a better hot pot menu. Cafe Dazzling have so much potential! read more

Baby it's cold outside! And a warm bowl of Ramen (miso soup base) paired with hot Thai tea was a perfect way to warm the soul (and fill the belly )! I'm so excited there is a great place like this in Tracy. If you like Ramen, it's definitely worth giving this place a try. Stopped here based on Yelp reviews and it did not disappoint. I had the Taiwanese hot pot. Hubby got the miso ramen. Delicious soups, served hot and with wonderful customer service. The broth was flavorful and the veggies and meats were fresh. The restaurant itself is pleasant, clean, and nicely decorated. Extra points for the comfortable chairs. The service was great. Our server took the time to answer our questions politely. Drinks were refilled promptly and the check was addressed in a timely manner - yet we weren't rushed. My only complaint, like another reviewer, is that I found it too spicy. The soup that I ordered had medium heat, but the server advised their medium was pretty hot and recommended I order mild. So I ordered the mild. I can take heat and enjoy peppery dishes. However, there is a point where the spice distracts from the flavor and this crossed that point. Food should be enjoyed, not survived, and I don't think the extreme heat elevated the dish. I'll definitely be back, you'll have to Pull back on the spice and to get the fifth star from me, Cafe Dazzling. read more

I am in Ramen Heaven in Tracy!! Just moved here from Fresno where I have an unending variety of Foodie restaurants to satisfy my cravings... I am impressed by the few Locally owned restaurants I've tried so far. This one in particular caught and hooked me! The flavor of the broth in the ramen was delicious and bursting with flavor. The server was more than accommodating, I ordered an iced black tea and forgot to ask for it unsweetened. I called him over and asked if I could have a tea with no sweetener. He took it and replaced the sweet tea with a smile. I asked for kimchi in place of regular cabbage and they had no problem with my request. Calvin is his name so if you decide to try the ramen here, tell Calvin that I highly recommended this restaurant. Since I don't know anyone in town yet, I took the opportunity to introduce myself to him and made a new friend. The Ramen is a must and next time I'll try the Hot Pot! read more

I come to Cafe Dazzling often because it is the only boba place open till late in Tracy. I have had a few bad experiences in the past but kept giving them a chance. Their quality has gone downhill. I didn't want to write a bad review but today I took my little cousins for their birthday to get boba and the customer service sucked on the owners end. My little cousin got the Strawberry Boba drink. When she tasted it she expected it to be sweet. It was sour and tangy. We would have just kept it but she is six and could not handle how sour it tasted it. So we asked the waitress if they could remove the strawberry purée they put at the bottom and she said they couldn't. I asked nicely if we could have another flavor since we were not expecting strawberry to taste so sour. She goes back in with the strawberry drink and we think everything is resolved but then the owner come back with the same drink in his hand to our table. He proceeds to tell us that strawberry is supposed to be sour and they don't use syrup like other Boba shops.... I am like okay??? We get boba drinks expecting them to taste good not sour. He makes it seem like we are supposed to like the drink and we are in the wrong. He said this time he would remake it but I did not see his need to come to our table to fight about a small boba drink in front of my little cousins on their birthday. It ruined the whole atmosphere for us. Last time I came and got the mixed fruit tea it had rotten pineapple in it and on the same occasion I got popcorn chicken and it was pink inside. That time I didn't complain and let it go. But the moment I decide to complain the owner comes and argues with us and wants to gaslight us into thinking the sour drink is good??
