Took my parents there for lunch The place is well decorated. The booth sitting area that the branches are little high to sit and eat but it will be pretty for little ones. The servers are very be try nice and friendly! We got a chirashi bowl, sashimi lunch bento box and galbi beef short rib lunch bento box. All came with the miso soup and they are delicious! Surprisingly bento box also came with the tampura veggies and shrimp in the box! Of course also have salad with ginger dressing and California rolls. They are quite filling! This is my cousins favorite sushi spot. She said she also likes Mikasa too. The service and staff were super on point! Very attentive and sweet. They answer our questions about which is most popular. My favorite roll was the OMG roll. Good amount of fish and I really liked the flavor of this. The pink lady roll I think it was called, was good too but not as flavorful. I still enjoyed it! The orange head roll, I wish had more fish. I tried the first one top and it was really good, but the roll itself was lacking. Keep in mind, when you order things with crab, it might be the crab in one piece. I'm used to mixed imitation crab but I think they use a crab stick and cut it into the sushi. This place is always a hit. This is our go-to place. Sushi is always fresh and on point. Ambiance is welcoming. It can get busy though. Been here a bunch of times and the service is always great, good comes out quickly, and did I say that the sushi is on point? Never had any sushi that I do not like. I was surprised to see that it was completely empty on a rainy Saturday night in Tracy... so I decided to give Kengo Sushi a try after seeing it packed the last time I saw it. Upon walking in, I immediately sensed that it was going to be a good experience forsure. If you're looking to get decent Japanese food in Tracy... this is one of them. Here's how my experience went thus far: Food: 4/5 Me and my partner got the 4pc shrimp tempura... which happened to be $8. Not bad considering it was inflation, honestly, and the batter of the tempura was very crispy. I found, however, that it contained a little too less shrimp. The very aromatic tea really made up for the thick batter though... that's for sure. We also got the Simba Roll and King Kong Roll... both of which were our favorites. They were so good to the point I had to take them home to leave them as leftovers LOL. Ramen wise, we got the Korean Spicy Ramen and the Shoyu Ramen. I was a bit disappointed considering I wanted actual ramen noodles from scratch, but instant noodles were just as good -- hehe. They included a lot of veggies and toppings alongside pork for my shoyu, which definitely helped with my culinary palette. The spicy ramen's level was just right. Service: 5/5 The waitresses were very friendly upon arrival, and kept on checking on us throughout our meal.... and they gave us quite good recommendations. Atmosphere: 4/5 I was quite fascinated to find that the entrance to the bathroom was identical to going to a cabana or a party. I like the overall design of the restaurant, but it seemed a little bit too dark, and I felt a little squeezed. In addition, I also felt like there could've been more variety, in terms of drinks, and in terms of rolls. Not trying to be critical, but if there was room for improvement, I would've spaced the tables around a little bit bit more. We have since moved out of town but I measure all other sushi restaurants with the bar that was set and set again every time we visited. Very efficient staff, clean, nice ambiance!!! The food is good too. We arrived at 7:30 pm (they close at 9). It was about 75% packed but we didn't have to wait at all. We ordered 3 rolls, 2 hand rolls and hot tea- which were very fresh as opposed to other places. We'll go back again! read more

The service was very quick and attentive. My favorite roll that we had was the pink dragon roll and the gali special roll because i love salmon and tuna. On 6/28/24 we decided to have diner here since we didn't have any luck with the other restaurants we wanted. Glad we tried this place out because the food tasted really good. For appetizer we ordered vegetable spring rolls. For main dishes my boyfriend ordered B-2, which is beef teriyaki, tempura and California roll. I ordered B-3, which is salmon teriyaki, gyoza and California roll. Portion size of the dish was good and everything tasted delicious. This place is definitely on my list now for good Japanese spots in the area. Will have to come back here again. Overall, great food and service! read more

Found this gem of a place one day and we are so happy we did. We love the vibes of this place and the music they play. It's so relaxing. The servers re very attentive and friendly too. The sushi is so good and super well dressed and they do not skimp out on anything with the bento boxes. I was hangry and didn't bother to correct or flag down someone for the right item because then my partner would have to wait for me (ordered salmon teriyaki, and I got beef). 4/5 regular normal vibes and family-friendly restaurant. I just hate how uncomfortable the chairs are. They hurt my bottom. 3/5 for foods. Everything was too sweet for me and just don't hit right. Sauce on rolls were sweet, dressing on salad were sweet, teriyaki sauce was super sweet... rolls are meh. The CA rolls are very basic, and I didn't care for it here because they put whole imitation crab rolls in them instead of mixed salad like other restaurants. read more

The inside of the restaurant is dimly lit with a beautiful real mini bamboo garden and dark hand painted posters, and the waiters are always very kind and friendly. My go to order when I come is the lion king roll, and the sushi girl roll, as well as hot green tea, and agadashi tofu. The sushi girl roll is extremely fresh and delicious covered in spicy Chipotle mayo and unagi sauce and the lion king roll is oven baked and perfectly flaky and creamy. The agadashi tofu is spongy but not gummy and has a great soy miso broth as well! All in all Kengo sushi is hands down my favorite sushi spot in Tracy and I highly recommend checking it out if you are also a sushi lover. read more

I would have haven Kengo 5 stars but the customer service was terrible . My ramen surprisingly really tasty and great flavor. The edamame was terrible and cold . It came out 45 min after our Ramen. The lady still wanted To charge me for the dish and my daughter and I ate 3 pods . The little scoop of edamame they do give was hilarious. read more
