Stopped by to grab a late dinner to go back in September. We have been to other L&L locations and finally got to try this location out. Service here was nice and friendly. We didn't have to wait long for our order. We got our usual meal which was the Hawaiian BBQ mix and the chicken katsu. My mom noticed that the price went up. She realized it was now $19. As for the katsu sauce, we like the sauce they have rather than the one from Ono. For some reason now we find that the sauce has a spicy kick to it, but it still tastes good. read more

For the past several years, this place has been my go-to comfort food when I cant decide where to eat. I've been a long time regular that I call the owners "Auntie and Uncle", and they have always been kind and set a good standard for their food and cleanliness. I understand that it isnt Michelin-guide quality or same as Hawaii islands, but it has been more than enough for me to keep coming back over and over again for a filling and pleasurable meal. If I could suggest: Katsu cutlets are def CRISPY! Just the way its supposed to be! If you want a fat portion filling flavorful meal, choose the BBQ mix plate. I come here at least once a month. As a former long time resident of the Islands I at least have something to compare it too. The service is very good, everyone welcomes you. The Food is excellent and they add Hawaiian Local favorites like Noodles, spam Musubi, malasado's, Lumpia. The portions are very good considering the price of food has increased tremendously. I usually like L&L, but this time, it was a letdown. I came in for lunch. The restaurant was clean, and the people were friendly. I ordered a small Loco Moco and a soda. The food came quickly. I'm sorry I didn't get a picture of it, because overall, it just wasn't that good. . There was a fair amount of rice, the rice was good, and I liked the small scoop of Mac salad that came with it. It also had one burger, patty, one egg, and gravy. The burger patty was actually gray, and very bland. It has almost not taste to it at all. I asked for my egg over easy, and it was almost over hard. There was hardly any yolk to drip down into the food. Also, there was not that much gravy I paid 19 bucks plus tip out the door! For a small Loco moco, plus a small soda, plus the fact that the Loco moco just wasn't that good, I thought it was pretty expensive. For an L & L, it really let me down. Sad to say not a pleasant experience with the food this time. Had the Kalua pork and LauLau combo and chicken Katsu. Pork and Lau lau were very dry and lacking flavor. Katsu was just ok. It wasn't like this years ago... Missing the real stuff back in HI. read more

Went there at lunch time and got the BBQ chicken bowl.. The chicken was dry and tasted like it was reheated or older" not fresh" hopfully they think about the quality next time before handing it out. My recommendation is don't cut corners because this makes me and others not want to go there anymore. I have been there a dozen times and this is my first experience like this. read more

I've been in Tracy for a few years now and have tried every HALO-HALO in town and by far this is the best one in town. You can either get it with Mango or Ube ice cream and of course it comes with leche flan! SUPER GOOD!!!! You have to try it!!!! read more

It was good but for $15 no layer of cabbage at the bottom! I was really looking forward to it and nope. No cabbage. Since moving from the Bay Area, food choices have been slightly limited especially Asian, Filipino, or Hawaiian food...today we decided to get some Hawaiian food and stop by the local L&L. Boy this place is it!!! I wasn't expecting to see a lot of Filipino food and other Hawaiian goodies on their menu. Maybe I haven't been to L&L in a while, but I don't remember seeing Halo-halo, Filipino Silog, Manapua, Malasadas, Poke, Pork adobo, kalua fries, Filipino ice cream, and so much more on their menu. The staff were nice. The only reason I took one star off is they didn't complete our to-go order, given it was a pretty big one because we ordered a lot...one of our orders was a Laulau/Kalua pork plate, but we only got a laulau plate. Everything else was correct and really good though. We will definitely come back to try the other menu items...or atleast make this place our go to for our Filipino and Hawaiian cravings. read more

When this spot opened, it was the isht. Big island portions, awesome plate lunches. Now, not so much. Man, I get it, pandemic hit and everything got more expensive, but to cut corners like this is just unacceptable. Wife and I went there yesterday, haven't been in a while. Wife had the katsu and bbq chicken. Can you believe they charged her extra to sub the rice for Mac salad. (Seriously, Mac salad literally costs pennies to make.) I ordered fries, almost $6, for a half full fry boat and a seafood meal. First off, when we started going here, a seafood meal had 6 shrimp, and 3 thick pieces of fish. Now they only give you 3 shrimp and 3 stupid thin pieces of fish. The rice scoops seem to have gotten smaller as did the Mac salad scoop. BUT.....plenty of cabbage to puff it all up. Honestly, I would rather pay a higher price and get the same portion size and quality than pay the high price and get half the food and literally half the thickness of the fish they used to serve. It honestly appears as if they took the old size fish and sliced it into 3rds. Sad. The only reason for the 2 stars was the good customer service and the food quality. Such a let down. If we want good portions and price, we go to Sunshine Hawaiian in Lodi....worth the drive. read more

I miss the previous nice employee who greets you aloha. She probably got tired of the mean owner. My family comes here a couple of times a month. We had guests over and decided to order L & L for them. First time ordering the party trays. When I picked them up. I asked for the sauce. The lady cashiernsaid we don't have any sauce? I grabbed the bottle of sauce and said to her, what do you call this? The cook says, that's the Teriyaki sauce. Yes, that's the sauce I would like if I can have some for the 2 party trays I ordered. The cook, probably the owner says we don't do that. I was like, are you kidding me? When we eat here I get all the sauce I need and spend $12. I spent over $135 and no teriyaki sauce? That's such bad business. He said, we charge for it but I'll give it to you for free this time. The cashier lady had a mean look while giving me a small container. I told her I only need a bit.
