Café de Casa has been my favorite cafe in San Francisco for yeaaaaars. Every location, south city and both SF locations, has its own unique flare. The pastries never disappoint. My classic favorites are the coxinha for a savory treat and a enroladinho de queijo for dessert. You can also never go wrong with the Açaí bowl with peanut butter. The presentation of the bowl is always so fancy. Throughout the years I've noticed the same servers. They have always been so kind with big smiles on their faces. First timer but I had seen this café on the maps and wanted to go sometime. I walked in on a Friday around 3 PM and it was semi empty. I ordered a roca de Coco because I'm a huge coconut fan and had seen on the reviews that a lot of people were ordering the doce de leite so I got one too. My bread roll came out very nice and warm and it went well with the coffee I chose. I just think that the coffee is already sweet so I probably should've focused on something either more savory or less sugary. I absolutely loved the Rosca de Coco and I would go back for more. This is a Brazilian café. This establishment is huge in terms of square footage and amount of seating. There are plenty of tables whether that be for 2, 4, 6 or 8 people; definitely a nice place to gather and it's close to Ghirardelli Square and pier 39. read more

GTG: they have scrupulous Brazalian pastries. I got 2 empanadas, one with tiny shrimp and creamy sauce (empanada de camarao) and the other i haven't tried. I got the fried coxiha: fried croquette. Unfortunately I found a hair at the very last bite. Both were very flavorful. The inside looked very inviting. Great location. Take the F to the end of Castro and then take the end back to Ferry. Really cute spot! I got their iced dubai latte, coxinha, and rissole. They were out of the beef empanada the day I went. The Dubai latte was delicious, rimmed with chocolate had pistachios - so good but definitely pricey. For the pastries, I tried the rissole first which had beef and corn and there was so much filling inside which was amazing. It was good and made me full, but the coxinha was still sitting in front of me so I had to try the coxinha too. The coxinha had shredded chicken and had good flavor but I did like the rissole more. Service was great and the workers are friendly. Overall, a great place and I like how you can come here whether you want a pastry or a full meal. read more

Do yourself a favor, if you're in the area stop at Cafe de Casa and get a treat! This has become our regular stop whenever we visit SF and this location is such a cute little spot. They have indoor seating and a counter to order at. They always have a variety of items on display and they have some tasty sandwich options too. My favorites here are the Coxinha, and pao de queijo sandwiches and the passionfruit juice is an absolute must. If you're looking for something delicious and fresh this restaurant is a great choice. They do offer some frozen items that you can cook at home and while they're not as good as the restaurant, they're a great alternative if you live in Sacramento like I do. This cafe is near home, so I visit fairly often. In general, the staff are really wonderful. Genuine, friendly, helpful. The food is good: an incredible selection, given its size. I like the Parma & Fig sandwich. The Passion Fruit juice is amazing. I get it every time. My only complaint (and therefore missing a 5-star review) is the chai, which seems to be consistently served lukewarm, and what I like least about it is it has an annoying grainy texture. Not sure why since there are no coffee grounds. I guess it's maybe a topping added? I guess I'll ask next time and ask them to skip it. read more

Cafe de Casa happen to be relatively close to the area we were around today, so we opted to have lunch here. You can have a drink here, breakfast, light lunch, or a full meal. Whatever you want they got you covered. You order at the counter, they give you a number, and you can sit at any table is open. My partner got an Original Acai Bowl (16 oz), Pão de Queijo Bite, Coxinha, and Enroladinho de Queijo com Goiabada. For myself, I also opted for an Original Acai Bowl (16 oz) and a Empada de Frango. Food came quick! Our Acai bowls were served on beautiful bowls and it was aesthetically pretty nice. It came topped with banana slices, strawberry slices, blueberries, granola, and goji berries. It was pretty warm in San Francisco, so this really hit the spot for me, although the amongst all my Acai experiences, it's a pretty standard, basic bowl. Still good though. The Empada de Frango I had was pretty good too. I like that it's baked, and the chicken filling was saucey, but not overly saucey. Flavor was good as well. I sampled my partner's Coxinha, which had a similar filling to the Empada, but for the Empada, they added corn and green olives into the mix of ingredients. Between the Coxinha and Empada though, I'd probably recommend the Coxinha. I really liked the light, fine, crispy, outer layer. My partner enjoyed his meal as well, so we'll probably be back if we're around Cafe de Casa! read more

This makes is extremely convenient for peeps like me who take Muni in the area. The cafe has a good amount of seating. It is bright, clean, and earthy feeling (think green plants). Their mint and pineapple juice, along with all of their other drinks are fresh and made with love. Their lunch is great too - my mom and I loved sharing the milanesa sandwich. Of course, the coconut cheese breads or the chicken croquettes are a must buy as well. I have tried many pastries and menu items from here and all of them have been a 10/10. For Fisherman's Wharf, it's 5 stars!! If you're comparing it with all of SF, it's closer 4. If you're stuck in this area, this is the best food and not overpriced like every other place in Fisherman's Wharf! The place is tastefully decorated, spacious, and airy.
