    Deliciousness walnut baklava
    Stef M.

Walking by I was drawn in by the Arabic coffee decided to go for it. I ordered a single Arabic coffee no sugar that's how they remembered me in Egypt everyone uses sugar. It came in a beautiful pot in a copper tray . The server also gave me a taste a cup of their house special the Finjan Qahwa. They were both good the atmosphere is friendly they are set up to watch FIFA games also. They offer many coffees and teas . They have an array of Turkish delights along with some baklava cheese cake and a tiramisu among other offerings. They guys are friendly and welcoming. It was a nice surprise as I was walking down mission street. They had the most delicious baklava I have ever had . I have had grandmas baklava. Spent years in Egypt with all the temptations of sweets but this was fantastic so delicious. I would like a whole pie it was a walnut baklava. They also had a chocolate baklava an a normal pistachio one. They over games and wifi . So basically just great coffee deserts snacks and conversations.

Whenever I decide not to sleep in on the weekends and grab a coffee or tea, this is my go-to neighborhood spot. The staff is friendly and helpful every time, and the food and drinks are great! It's the perfect place to relax, study, have a coffee date, or play board games with friends - which they have available for you.

Loved my time at Finjan Qahwa. I was getting my oil changed down the street and needed something to pass the time, but I will most definitely be coming back. The atmosphere is warm and bright. The barista was extremely nice and helpful. I got a medium-sized matcha, it was delicious! Silky, earth and refreshing. Housing a plethora of Middle Eastern beverages and light bites, Finjan Qahwa is the perfect place for an inviting, casual beverage/dining experience.

First time here. Step inside! It's very bright and cheery inside -- which isn't fully apparent from the street. Big choice of pastries -- mostly sweet -- but also chicken, za'atar, and cheese. Dizzying choice of coffees and teas. I played safe with the Adeni chai and look forward to comparing the Arabic and Turkish coffee options. Popular with UPS drivers. And with laptop users.

I had not strolled on this stretch of Mission in a while, so I was pleasantly surprised to see someone had taken over the space that Tierra Mia used to own. In a prime location where Valencia meets Mission is a new Arabic cafe that serves authentic Yemeni and Turkish coffee and pastries. There were ornate decorative touches (Photo 8) and resplendent displays of exotic delicacies. The combined effect evoked aura of a Middle Eastern market bazaar. It reminded me of my long ago travels to Jamaa El-Fna in Marrakesh and the Spice Market in Istanbul. That's quite a feat for a Bernal Heights bakery cafe. Because I had not planned on having a mid-afternoon snack. I ordered modestly with the intention of coming back when I had more calories. I had the $4.95 Cold Brew (Iced Coffee), which the server mixed with just the right amount of milk and sugar (Photo 9). It was just the refresher I needed. I knew I had to have at least the taste of something sweet, and the first thing that caught my eye was the $1.99 Chocolate Baklava (Photo 10). That was the perfect mouthful of sweet indulgence. So many of the other desserts looked as alluring - the Pistachio Dream Cake (Photo 5), the Lemon Cheesecake (Photo 6), the Dubai Cake, the Kataifi. I'll have to increase my cardio exercise exponentially to justify such tasty-looking decadence. COFFEE / DESSERT - 5 stars...reminded me of satisfying Middle Eastern travels from my past AMBIANCE - 4.5 stars...evocative, community-focused SERVICE - 4.5 stars...quietly effective TOTAL - 5 stars...nice new addition to Bernal Heights with a touch of the exotic RELATED - Exploring Bernal Heights? Wow! First time here and my Spanish Latte was absolutely delicious. Just the right amount of sweetness. The woman working the register was also very kind and quick with getting orders out. Can't wait to come back and explore the rest of the menu. Looks like they also have some yummy desserts. A lot of variety.

I saw that this new bakery and coffee shop just opened so I stopped in here on the way home from work. The coffee shop is super spacious so it's perfect if you want to hang out or do a little work. They have multiple display cases of pastries, baklava, and cakes. It's was so hard to just choose two items to take home. I definitely will be back to try more. I ended up getting the pistachio milk cake. The cake is super moist and flavorful. It wasn't super sweet. And the pistachio was perfect on it. The Dubai chocolate cake was something I've never had before. It was chocolate cake with a pistachio coconut flake filling and topped with hard chocolate on top. The flavor was really good. But since I'm not a fan of dried coconut I preferred the milk cake. Just preference. I loved this place and I definitely will be back to try their baklavas, other cakes, and drinks. The people there were really nice. They carefully packaged all my cake slices for me.

    Iced Pistachio Latte

Enjoyed a mid afternoon coffee date here. The vibes are bright, cheerful and down to earth. A variety of drink and dessert options. My iced pistachio latte was fine. My friend got the Knafeh which she said was just ok. The service was friendly and they were very patient with us when deciding what to order. Great place for a solo date too.

    Great location!

An absolute gem of a spot! I recently visited on a short business trip out here in San Francisco and wanted to try some of the local pastry/coffee shops. The ambience at Finjan Qahwa was super chill and quaint. The gentleman behind the counter showed me all the cool machines they use to roast the coffee beans and explained to me all the sciences that they take into consideration, and I was extremely impressed. I ordered a pistachio latte and this is the best one I've ever had at any of the coffee spots I've hit up along my many years of travel. I look forward to my next trip out west just so I can swing by again.

    Fun cups and decor.

I've been wanting to try this place since it recently opened. It's in the former Tierra Mia space (RIP). And if you are as old and as local as I am, this used to be the taco bell in front of the BK. I got done with my run and just went for it. Got the go-to, iced latte with oat. And since they have a very nice looking pasty cooler, I tried the nutella cheesecake (so much for my run). The staff is friendly and service was fast. The menu has several specialty items, which I have tried at other places and have been pleased. Also, the menu is pretty extensive. A little bit spendy but the coffe is good and strong! What else do you want?

We were walking by and wanted to go in because it smelled like delicious tea. We ordered a pistachio cake slice, chai and a bagel. The food was so good! The cake was just right amount of sweet. The chai was very good. If you are in the area stop by this place.

The place was really nice and cute. Their menu has a lot of great options to choose from. The service was nice and they have board games as well. Would be back again!!

Friendly staff. Fun unique selection of sweets. We tried the Dubai chocolate cake, pistachio milk cake, baklava and some Turkish delights. The Dubai chocolate cake was nice and chocolatey. Hard thick chocolate piece on top that made it kind of hard to eat but was yummy . Pistachio milk cake did not have strong pistachio taste but good texture. Baklava was good and Turkish delights were fun to try

I was not quite a fan of the oatmilk that they used, as it left an interesting aftertaste. I also felt that for the price I paid, the size of the cup was quite small. SERVICE: 8/10 The staff here is friendly and welcoming.
