We have to order at the counter and they bring your order to you. I got an iced latte and some orange cake with icecream. The latte was decent, nothing special there. The orange cake though!!!! Omg! It was so delish! The vanilla icecream complimented it well! The cake was dense and decadent with a nice citrusy tartness, exactly what I needed on a hot summer afternoon. Beautiful interior with a great view. I've never had a salmon bagel before so this was new to me! I took a recommendation from the staff and I was pleasantly surprised with what I had encountered. The salmon was fresh and tasty, the bagel was crisp, and the eggs+ other toppings fell right into place. I had some great staff help me navigate the menu and the environment was very hospitable. This has to be the cutest coffee shop. I felt like I had stepped into a Parisian cafe. The ambiance and decor are top notch. I visited on a Saturday afternoon and the place was buzzing. Although they were really busy, I was still able to find street parking right in front. The line was long but moved fast. I was worried that I wouldn't find a place to sit, but people were quick and were leaving at a nice pace and I was able to find a table rather quickly. I had a caramel latte with oat milk and a breakfast sandwich. My order came out pretty quickly so no complaints there. The latte was just ok in my opinion. It wasn't anything special and was more reminiscent of hot chocolate than espresso. The breakfast sandwich was quite tasty on the other hand. My experience was solid and I will definitely be back to try another drink and enjoy the beautiful atmosphere. read more

I just moved to the area and was eager to check Cafe Deko out! While waiting for my friend, I ordered a vanilla latte and their chocolate croissant. After sitting down for less than 2-3 minutes, my coffee was ready and shortly after the croissant was brought to me. If there's something I love, is a croissant that's properly filled and distributed with said filling. And this was it. On top of it looking beautiful, it was truly delicious. Also, they had a sign that on holidays they do "screen free" from tablets and laptops and I thought that was really cool (for context, I stopped by on Memorial Day). Even better, people were engaging with one another instead of their screens! It was a lovely, local coffee shop vibe and I can't wait to go back and try their breakfast and lunch menus. read more

It's a small sized shop, so the waiting area was a bit of a squeeze. Everyone was bustling and moving fast though. I had the best experience at Cafe Deko! What a wonderful place to visit first thing Saturday morning, the cafe was vibrant and bustling, fantastic ambiance to catch up with friends or read a book. Obviously, the interior design speaks for itself. I'm obsessed. The barista was very sweet and helpful when I asked what they recommend for a hot, sweet coffee. I went with their suggestion of a hot latte with oatmilk (boo for the nondairy milk upcharge though) and vanilla syrup "for here" and wow was that the right choice! As someone who almost exclusively prefers cold beverages for taste, this latte just hit it out of the park. It was legitimately one of the best coffees I've ever had. While there is a ton of seating for the size of the space, it's a popular spot so it might be tough to guarantee seating for large groups at peak hours. I also appreciated the coat rack, and two large private bathrooms they have available. Overall, I highly recommend visiting, I'd love to come back to Cafe Deko! read more

My oh my! This is by far my favorite latest addition to the neighborhood. It's absolutely gorgeous! Want to visit every single day! I stopped in for lunch with a friend earlier this week. We have been long awaiting this spot to open. And it didn't disappoint! The longer you sit and look around the more detail you notice. I love all the decor and gold accents. They really put so much thought and effort into this. The wall paper is to diiiie for and the wall sconces..?! Cmon!! So cute! There is ample seating, but it does get full. We lucked out on a small table for two. But there is an assortment for high top/bar seating, couches, and small tables. They have Breakfast and lunch(sandwich) menu and a solid beverage menu. The lattes are fantastic and I really enjoyed my chipotle chicken sandwich (with crisps on the side). Their serve ware is of course-- so cute too! I will likely walk here each time because it's so close, but if you're driving, parking is sparse around here, as it's Printers Row. Not impossible, but definitely not easy. Really liked the vibe at this cafe. I saw many people describing it as a European style and I felt like that they might just be basing it off of the decor but it really does give off that feel. The drink menu is pretty standard with a few offerings that are hard to find other places but it also doesn't try to make you pay a premium to enjoy these. The cafe freddo options stood out to me but I ended up going with an iced mocha because I thought I was just going to grab and go and was feeling more thirsty but one of the little tables looked so cozy that I ended up sitting down and enjoying my drink for a little while. I only got the drink but the pastries all looked good and the sandwiches and other food items I noted others eating around me all seemed to be well made. New coffee shop alert! Cafe deko is such a vibe. The inside decor is gorgeous. It's definitely busy on the weekends but is a nice place to get coffee with friends or your partner. Fair warning, no screen use allowed Friday - Sunday. We got the freddo cappuccino and the honey lavender latte, both of which were good. Topped off our Sunday with an Asiago bagel with cream cheese and chipotle mayo croissant sandwich. All their breakfast sandwiches come with a side of fruit. Will definitely check out on a weekday to see if it can be my new place to be productive because it's not allowed in the weekends and is pretty loud.
