Love the kiosk ordering system. However, I had ordered a long time ago and no one tried to find us. It had the table flag included and they claimed the system doesn't tell them the table flag number. This isn't true because I saw the employees go around and take the flags away once the food was served. Otherwise, it is a fine place to meet up and hang out. There are some board games. Matcha was kind of gross here. They do make super sweet drinks and coffees otherwise. read more

Wow! This place is added to my favorites list! The lattes are phenomenal! I loved my honey cinnamon latte and my Nutella latte. Both were just perfect -- flavor and visually beautiful. Spacious interior. Lots of seating--tables, couches, work stations, chess table. It's also kind of a company store, with other snacks and beverages for sale, such as wine. The location is great, right across from Grant Park so great views from the windows. Bright space, lots of natural light. Colorful and vibrant decor too. The vegan glazed donut is very good! I look forward to trying more food. The bathrooms are individual and private, and very clean. They have nice Dyson hand dryers. Fun music playing and the vibes are positive. This cafe is the cutest, the interior is a complete vibe and has a great view .I'm so glad I stopped in as the service was quick and friendly. I ordered an iced ube match with oat milk and it was very light and refreshing. Sadly I couldn't taste or see the ube and it was an extra cost. I stopped here with a friend for a quick breakfast on our way to the Field Museum. We each tried an iced honey cinnamon iced latte, and I also got a raspberry matcha donut. The lattes were delicious - perfectly sweet with noticeable flavor from the honey and the cinnamon. The espresso was also evident without tasting super acidic. I also enjoyed the donut though it could have had a stronger matcha flavor. We didn't stay long but there was plenty of seating and a lot of nice natural light. Service was also great. I actually didn't realize Dollop was a chain until I looked it up to write this review, since the interior really made it seem like a small local coffee shop. Coffee: I've tried the mocha and the honey latte, both had a great ratio of milk to espresso. Milk texture was good and foam was rich. Service: The barista was friendly and gave my pet a treat, I really enjoyed the customer service and music was amazing. It was like rnb/house vibes which I loved. Ambiance: The interior design is beautiful and there is no shortage of outlets to work from. Yes the table height to chair height ratio is good, if that matters to anyone. It isn't loud, so you can actually focus here. Overall: good option for wfh, great lattes, friendly staff, pleasant music and interior design. We have been coming to Dollop for some time and rather enjoyed it in the past. It has changed and not for the better. I guess for students who can afford $27 for 2 coffees and a rather insipid, dry sandwich it seems popular. We've been traveling for months and looked forward to what was our Saturday coffee out. The place has gotten run down, there is loud, conflicting music in the restaurant and kitchen which is very disturbing, at least for me. Pick your loud music and stick with it. They have also decided to not provide alternative sweetener. I happen to very much dislike Stevia and was always pleased to find Splenda for my expensive coffee. No bueno. I've been visiting this café since I lived in the building years ago and have continued to return regularly. The baristas are consistently kind, attentive, and welcoming. Stopped here for a pick-me-up before a day at the museums. The shop is spacious, clean, and really cozy/pretty especially as it was raining when I was here. There's bar seating, tables, and a couch area that's great for meals or just sitting to work on a laptop. I got a honey cinnamon latte. It was only available iced in a 16oz cup, no other size. This might be the best cafe to do work in Chicago. It's got a beautiful interior with high ceilings and a plethora of natural light giving way to the Chicago skyline. Internet and outlets are abundant and the late hours are greatly conducive for working or studying. Plus, it's more of a local spot, and didn't seem overly crowded when I went. My very excellent and strong matcha latte was criminally expensive (almost $8), but perhaps that's the cost of such a great ambiance. read more

Super convenient location and the space itself is really nice, super aesthetically pleasing and plenty of seating. Large menu with lots of options and some fun signature drink options like the orange creamsicle that we got. Everything we ordered was good, but nothing to write home about. My fiancé and I found our new favorite coffee shop in the area. We are always able to find a place to sit and get some work done. Fabulous spot! I have been here three times to eat and each have been a wonderful experience. Service was great each time (all the staff is so kind!) my food always came out in a timely manner and tasted delicious! I highly recommend the #1 avocado toast.
