What a cute little place with friendly staff! We were traveling to visit friends and found ourselves in New Smyrna Beach for the week. We tried out a few new places but this was, by far the best! The location is easy to find, and we had no trouble parking on the street almost right in front of the door. It was a very chill relaxing environment on a Saturday. Think I spoke to the owner or the manager and he was awesome. Excellent options for fresh smoothies and healthy wraps! Located in the historic district, this was highly recommended by the locals. The wraps are FILLED with fresh and healthy ingredients. I added the chicken in the five different wraps that I bought and it's plenty filling and delicious. The service was excellent and the restaurant itself is clean and cute full of local artists' work. The food was just "ok", but the fact they did not give us our complete order and we had to keep asking for missed items made the whole experience worse. First, the server forgot to make one part of our order, and then they missed ingredients in our main course.... I was back a couple weeks ago. Same delicious, fresh vegetarian food. I had the yummy hummus and a delicious quesadilla with black beans, feta, Mexican cheese, and avocado. So good! I ordered a curry lentil soup, but they brought out a butternut squash soup. It was delicious, but it was not what I ordered. When I asked the server about it, he said that even though it was on the menu, he realized they were out of it after I had paid. I said I would not have ordered soup if I had known they were out of the lentil. He offered to comp me for it. I said that's OK. I'll eat it, but he comped it anyway. We walked in at 5:00 on a Friday and the person behind the register didn't greet us, she just stood there staring at us with an extremely unhappy look on her face. You'd think she was being forced to be there.... Not sure why they would put an unfriendly person at the front when you walk in, but we all decided to take our business elsewhere obviously. My daughter and I stumbled across this amazing place! She is vegetarian and I am gluten free. The menu is huge and full of things we are actually able to have! The prices are great for being full of healthy beautiful fresh options! The owner greeted us as we walked in and took the time to go over the menu with us. She was so sweet and attentive! We got the ginger limeade and Maca Mocha coffee to drink and the Nachos del Maria to split. We would've ordered so much more but we already ate and originally came in for the coffee. The atmosphere is calm with a beautiful open design. They even have cucumber water available for you to grab yourself. I live about an hour away but will definitely be making many trips back. read more

I'm still new to the NSB area, having just moved here from Sedona, AZ. I say that for two reasons: 1) I'm still discovering all that Canal Street and Flagler Ave have to offer in the way of restaurants; and 2) Sedona could be considered the center of healthy vegan/vegetarian food, so I've had some great healthy meals. The dining area is large and clean, filled with the works of local artists. The staff was friendly and professional. And yet, for me, the biggest surprise was the food. Of all the vegan, vegetarian, and/or gluten-free food I've had over the past 7 years, I found Cafe del Soul's food to be generous in portion sizes and among the tastiest I've had in ages. And I am not vegan or vegetarian. I had the quinoa quesadilla with non-GMO chicken and was really pleased with the flavors. Add to that a wonder Passionate First Date smoothie and I truly was in heaven. I look forward to returning and trying more of their offerings. read more

It was described as a bowl of rice with black beans, feta and cheddar cheese, and avocado. The only thing they were generous with was the rice. $10 plate of rice with a "garnish" of beans and cheese. Very disappointing. Two stars for ambiance. But honestly I feel ripped off. Oh, and a glass of lemonade is $4.75. That might not be so ridiculous if I hadn't just been served a plate of rice. I am so happy for the addition of this restaurant. I have been enjoying the freshness and different choices offered at Cafe Del Soul. I LOVE the Ishtar salad with their homemade Tahini dip, feta, cranberries cucumbers. I also had a wrap with spinach cheese, quinoa, avocado and other goodies and it was so good. Love it with the hot sauce. The Curry Quinoa is also so good and a large amount of food. A bit pricey, but we all know the cost of good fresh vegetables these days.
