While visiting NSB, I stopped here for breakfast. This little Argentinian cafe is tucked away in a Publix shopping plaza. The restaurant is cute, casual, and very clean. They offer breakfast and lunch. They have a fairly extensive menu of Argentinian and American traditional offerings. They also make empanadas. I started with a cafe con leche, which they topped with some cinnamon and caramel. Our orders arrived quickly. They serve generous portions and everything was fresh and delicious.

If you are looking for a unique brunch, outside of boring eggs and bacon, this is your spot. I would recommend branching off and ordering items that have a flag by the name as these will be Argentine-inspired dishes and they are incredible. The Egg Argentine was amazing and the Dulce de leche pancakes were loaded. We had great service and will be back soon!

It's busy for a reason. Very good food. Empanada was better than expected and delightful. Also, why is no one ranting about the sweet tea. This IS what sweet tea is supposed to be! Small restaurant, quick service.

After a morning ride that led me to New Smyrna Beach, I found this place on Yelp and decided to give it a try. It was around 10am on a Saturday morning. It was pretty crowded but luckily I was seated right away. My friendly and polite employee, Kaitlyn, took my drink order (coffee, black, tyvm), and returned quickly with it. To eat, I chose their 3-egg Veggie omelette ($13.25). This consisted of spinach, onions, mushrooms, red and green bell peppers, and tomatoes. I also added cheddar cheese for an additional $1.25. Instead of potatoes, I added fresh fruit ($1.75). I also asked if they had sourdough bread, which they did, and so I chose that as my toast. My omelette was delicious! The ingredients were fresh and tasty! My fruit bowl was really good! Banana slices, grapes, strawberries, and blueberries were all fresh. It was quite the compliment to the omelette. It's not a large area and can seem kind of packed, but it's a comfortable atmosphere with friendly smiles, great service, and excellent food. I highly recommend you visit them and enjoy!

Cute environment and super yummy! It's close to the beach and in a shopping area. Will definitely come back!

Well, wouldn't you know? An Argentine restaurant around these parts? Sign me up! By day, Wake Up Café is a popular breakfast and brunch restaurant; by night, it's Empanada Bar, where you get to eat typical Hispanic food. Nevertheless, you can also do that (mixed with American classics during the day) if you happen to ask. Apparently this is a local mom-and-pop shop owned by an Argentinian man and his American wife, hence the melange of dishes such as tortilla española and eggs Benedict. As soon as I saw this, I had go given that I'm Miami born and raised, and of course, I moved away from home and don't get all the Hispanic food I want (unless I cook it myself). Consequently I had a tortilla española and a chicken empanada, with a coffee on the side, while my companion ordered avocado toast, which came with eggs and potatoes. He also ordered a side of sausages and a hot chocolate. All in all, our little table was full of food and we admittedly did not finish everything. The food was better than average, and personally speaking, the aioli that came with my meal was a nice touch, but it really was not necessary. The food stood out on its own and my companion felt the same. The drinks though? They were beautiful to photograph, but they were average at best. Would return for the food, but I'd probably stick to water there. That or a soft drink. The coffee and hot chocolate weren't bad by any means, but with the food being as good as it was, they were by means a tad disappointing.

We were here about 7:45 on a Tuesday. Just a couple other tables. We're were immediately seated, served our coffee and ordered with in a couple minutes. Food came out within 7 minutes. Cooked perfect, fresh ingredients and nicely cooked home potatoes. . Service was excellent and friendly. Wife got the Spanish skillet with plenty of ingredients. She said it's 3 meals for her. I got the eggs azules. Eggs perfect and fresh spinach and feta cheese. Love how they toast the inside of biscuit.

Small, we had to wait for a table, but the wait was worth it. Chicken and waffle, excellent mimosa. I ate every bite.

A handful of outdoor tables, the rest inside, all clean and efficiently turned. Everything comes out fast and hot--service is brisk, bordering on assembly-line smooth. The French toast ($9) is as basic as it gets: two slices, a dusting of powdered sugar, syrup, and a lonely half strawberry. It tastes exactly like what it looks like--standard, soft, slightly forgettable. Not offensive, just... there. The latte was solid, and my mom's coffee was hot, strong, and dependable. The avocado toast tried, but didn't quite land. Cream cheese base, fried egg, tomato, and sliced avocado--some of which leaned a little too ripe. The tomato had a firm bite, the bread barely toasted, and the whole thing felt under-seasoned and uninspired. It needed salt, crunch, personality--something. The double chocolate muffin was moist, soft, and generously studded with melted chocolate pockets. Not house-made-feeling, more like a well-executed bakery standard--but still the best bite of the morning. (They also offer cranberry walnut and blueberry.) Bottom line: Skip the composed plates. Grab a muffin and a coffee--it's the smartest, happiest move here.
