They offer breakfast and lunch. They have a fairly extensive menu of Argentinian and American traditional offerings. They also make empanadas. We found this cute little cafe tucked into the Publix shopping center in NSB. We were immediately welcomed and offered a seat of our choice. We sat at the counter and my husband's coffee and my water were quickly poured with a smile. After time to review the menu, we ordered the Roger sandwich and a cheese omelette. Both were served in a timeline manner with 100% accuracy. The cheese omelet was the fluffiest one I've ever been served! The Roger (a bagel with game, cheese and egg) was large and looked delicious. After a morning ride that led me to New Smyrna Beach, I found this place on Yelp and decided to give it a try. It was around 10am on a Saturday morning. It was pretty crowded but luckily I was seated right away. My friendly and polite employee, Kaitlyn, took my drink order (coffee, black, tyvm), and returned quickly with it. To eat, I chose their 3-egg Veggie omelette ($13.25). This consisted of spinach, onions, mushrooms, red and green bell peppers, and tomatoes. I also added cheddar cheese for an additional $1.25. Instead of potatoes, I added fresh fruit ($1.75). I also asked if they had sourdough bread, which they did, and so I chose that as my toast. My omelette was delicious! The ingredients were fresh and tasty! My fruit bowl was really good! Banana slices, grapes, strawberries, and blueberries were all fresh. It was quite the compliment to the omelette. It's not a large area and can seem kind of packed, but it's a comfortable atmosphere with friendly smiles, great service, and excellent food. I highly recommend you visit them and enjoy! read more

Well, wouldn't you know? An Argentine restaurant around these parts? Sign me up! By day, Wake Up Café is a popular breakfast and brunch restaurant; by night, it's Empanada Bar, where you get to eat typical Hispanic food. Nevertheless, you can also do that (mixed with American classics during the day) if you happen to ask. Apparently this is a local mom-and-pop shop owned by an Argentinian man and his American wife, hence the melange of dishes such as tortilla española and eggs Benedict. As soon as I saw this, I had go given that I'm Miami born and raised, and of course, I moved away from home and don't get all the Hispanic food I want (unless I cook it myself). Consequently I had a tortilla española and a chicken empanada, with a coffee on the side, while my companion ordered avocado toast, which came with eggs and potatoes. He also ordered a side of sausages and a hot chocolate. All in all, our little table was full of food and we admittedly did not finish everything. The food was better than average, and personally speaking, the aioli that came with my meal was a nice touch, but it really was not necessary. The food stood out on its own and my companion felt the same. The drinks though? They were beautiful to photograph, but they were average at best. Would return for the food, but I'd probably stick to water there. That or a soft drink. The coffee and hot chocolate weren't bad by any means, but with the food being as good as it was, they were by means a tad disappointing. read more

My husband had an omelette and tasted my empanadas and said when we go back he wants the empanadas. I liked the steak and chicken best. At 12:30 there is seating outside, inside tables and booths and a counter for single diners. No wait. I don't know about mornings when it probably serve more breakfasts. The people who work at WakeUp Cafe work so diligently to provide great food and service to all their customs. Yes, we have been coming in for over two years and we haven't had any bad experiences. A different variety of menu options warranted a return visit to the Wake-Up in NSB during our week-long visit. The atmosphere was laid back and easy going as were the servers--not fast, but not inattentive either. The restaurant was very clean. I tried to Argentinian breakfast dishes, one with chorizo (not ground as I have been accustomed to, but as a sausage similar to smoked sausage)--the flavor was excellent and the eggs Benedict were cooked perfectly complimented by a mild, savory chipotle sauce. My breakfast today was very meaty featuring a marinated steak accompanied by ham, potatoes, and tomatoes. My wife went for the waffles and panko breaded chicken and waffles accompanied with strawberries both times and was very pleased with the dish both times. Coffee was very good, better than your average breakfast joint. Get there before 9:30 on Saturday morning or expect to wait, but worth it. read more

There is some outside seating as well. I had the spanish skillet which had eggs with pisto manchego, which was a blend of veggies and potatoes in a tomato sauce topped with manchego cheese. It was delicious. I had an early flight so I had missed breakfast and I was so hungry. My favorite part was the tostada. I was expecting a thin crunchy tortilla but it was actually a piece of toast with diced tomatoes on top like a bruschetta. So good. The servers were very friendly and my food came super quick, like 3 minutes. It seemed like mostly locals when I was there, which is always a good sign. Even though it was a sunny, warm morning, we had a lovely shaded table outside with a refreshing sea breeze after our morning walk on the beach. I had heard about Wake Up Cafe from several people and finally decided to try it for myself. The Spanish and Argentinian-inspired menu brings unique flavors to ordinary breakfast menu items. I had the Spanish Skillet, a dish of delicious skin-on potatoes with large chunks of eggplant, green pepper, and onions in a spicy tomato sauce covered in manchego cheese, topped with two eggs and served with a slice of yummy bruschetta. My only complaint was the veggies were cut big so it was a little hard to eat. My mom had lime-flavored avocado toast served with grits.
