This place has everything! They don't have the hot-bar since covid. But still have every kind of both packaged and fresh food. Their burgers are big and delicious (or "deli-cious" as the case may be). They have sandwiches, paninis, heros, wraps... Hot ones like Philly Cheese or cold like tuna salad. Prices in Chelsea are not low for anything. But Café Deli-cious really gives a good amount of food for the price. Packaged foods of every kind line the walls from floor to ceiling. Cafe Deli-cious is quite the unsuspecting lunch spot! The deli features ye ol' convenience store staples (sodas, snacks, etc.) PLUS a hot bar, a salad bar, a deli food counter, a sandwich counter, and a salad counter! You won't believe it at first when you walk in because the place is pretty small. However, keep on walking further back, and all of the awesomeness will reveal itself! I've only tried a few things so far, but I WILL return as this place is closish to my office! I'm actually a little peeved I'm just now learning about the spot! Standouts include the salads--fresh made and packed full of just about any ingredient you want! Oh, and they are only about $7.75 for 1 protein and 5 other ingredients! Soo this deli is great for basic stuff. One day I decided to get a burger and it honestly was one of the worst burgers I've ever had. The meat tasted funny like beef and filler. Favorite salad spot in the area. Nice variety of toppings. Always fresh. Decent price. Friendly guys behind the food counter jam pack the salad container. Occasionally order a BEC after a night of drinking and it always hits the spot. Cashiers with a smile would be nice but not necessary. Used to be a good deli, but it's gone downhill over the last few years (and is a lot less crowded, as a result). A friend bought me some ice-cream, there, a few months ago, and it had melted and re-frozen. I was so annoyed. But I've been a customer for 16 years, so I let it go. Then, tonight, I brought back some soda bottles for the deposit, and the little brat at the cash register laughed in my face. Seriously. Had no idea what to do with the bottles and cans, FOR WHICH I PAID. As she snickered, she told me to bring them back on a weekday, because she couldn't understand how to refund my money. Hey, it wasn't a lot of money, but it was *mine*. Her continued dismissive derision stopped being amusing; I finally said "What are you laughing at? I paid the deposit; this is very bad customer service." She kept it up, so I said "I'll never buy soda here again" and she said "Fine". I was incensed, told her I'd never shop there again, and she said "Ok. Have a nice night." This is Chelsea. You can't spit without hitting a deli. So that dim bulb is cancelled. read more

The same old Asian man that is stated in the below review answerd the phone as I chose to give them an option again to try to shop back with them and called in for a delivery. The guy acted like he could not hear me at first and then hung up the phone within 8 seconds. he knew it was meas I have a distinctive voice and have clearly had an issue with him in the past or should I say he's had with me. I called back immediately the guy picked up the phone and told me hold on wait a minute and just let the phone ride for 30 more seconds in silence. This guy gave me the clear definition that he does not want my business. For some reason he just has an issue. I would not recommend to shop there when this old Asian man is around. He gives off a bad attitude that is not good for business and he is lucky. I've been going to the store for multiple years and it's always been a deli. since 1984 I've been going to the store from multiple years and it's always been a deli, though it's been through different owners. I have not been there in 6 months because I'm on a permanent boycott due to the old Asian man that works there usually at night-early morning, who seems to have some sorta unspoken issue when you bring a outside food from other establishments that you purchased even though it's in a bag. When I last ordered breakfast from here I told this guy I ordered two eggs on a hero with cheese so he rang me up for two sandwiches- I told him no it was just two eggs not two sandwiches. he had the nerve to argue with me and tell me that all of the sandwiches have two eggs so there was no need for me to tell him two eggs just say one sandwich as it seems to have confused him. I in turn told him are you kidding me you sitting here arguing with a customer over your lack of comprehension? I come here daily. He said yes I know who you are as if I'm some kind of person that goes in there and steals or something. the way this guy's greasy attitude caused me not to go back solely on his behalf. It's nothing much they won't close down due to that fact but they've lost a few thousand dollars annually as it's up the block from me and I used to go there 4 times a week on average. I have been regular here for the past 4 months. It has slowly replaced many in my list of places to visit in the West 23rd Street/Flatiron area, including Pret, Whole Foods, and Eataly. As a quick serve deli with a market attached to it, I find the selection and quality to be first rate, plus the staff is always very kind to me as I speed in and out in the mornings. Recently, I started visiting there for lunch and have found their buffet to be very fresh, reasonably priced, and cut to large portions, which I like. Lunch buffets are usually a no-no for me as some of the lesser places in NYC are traps for food illnesses, but Cafe Delicious is super clean, neat, and the food is protected, for the most part. I think highly of this place and will continue to visit the place as long as I am in the area. read more

Totally rude service, several of us in line were ignored while 'friends" were served around us. Even when we pointed out as a group who was next, they served other people and acted like they couldn't understand English. My new favorite place to get a cup of coffee. They have good selection of what I like and it is very reasonable! Even better in price (not only the taste) than the chain places around. I LOVE THESE GUYS. Hot buffet is good. Salads are good. Sandwiches are good. Breakfast is good. The guys behind the counter know how to make me smile when I'm having a bad day, and Maria is the sweetest. The guy who runs the place can be stern but he's really a softy. Get to know them/be loyal and they'll show it right back to you (like the day I was short on cash and paid it later!). Food is always spot on. Never had anything here I didn't like. Have recently discovered this place. Fast becoming my favorite around. Haven't tried out the hot food buffet, but it looks more appetizing than many around. Service has been fast, and the food has been GOOD. Prices are among the most reasonable in the neighborhood. Larger portions (as a standard) than many of the nearby places on everything I've ordered so far. Salad bar - they don't skimp on the toss-ins, everything tastes fresh and good, and they have a pretty wide selection of ingredients. The only reason I didn't give the 5th star is that some of the fruit available for sale (bananas, oranges, etc.) is not in the best condition. But that's the only drawback I've found and you know - just be prepared to search for a good banana if you're picking it up from here. read more

Best deli in town, outside of the Murray Hill Market. (I think it might be the same owners.) Phenomenal sandwiches are why I started going here--bring your appetite because they're huge--but I've recently discovered that the salads are the best you'll find too. Not trendy 'artisanal'-type ingredients like some of those specialty salad places, but fantastic, super-fresh ingredients, and generous helpings, all at a fantastic price. The best lunch deal around.
