how many times we're was at this awesome bulgarian bar 'derbi' we're had the best times up there

Not sure we could have had a worse experience. Wish I had read the reviews. We've been regulars at Prince but a Serbian friend told us to try Cafe Derbi. I may have to delete her from social. :) So, we walk in the door and there are just a few tables occupied by men drinking. I brought the family and we take a seat. It's a good 15 minutes before we get offered drinks or a menu. It's a good 20 minutes before we get to order food. It's a good 30 minutes before drinks arrive. It's a good 45 minutes before the appetizers arrive. It's almost AN HOUR before food arrives. Waitress was nice-ish but just a meek apology and again nobody was eating before us. The kitchen had no tickets or orders to fulfill. My wife did like her sandwich but my meat plate was atrocious. Overcooked and super salty. I really think it was warmed up from the day before. We ordered extra stuff to have leftovers--- jokes on us, already was leftovers. The goulash was so tough I'm pretty sure the meat was from Jack Links. Literally inedible. Prince is always a reliable option for fantastic Serbian food and far more friendly. read more

Came to write a review on something I witnessed a few weeks ago but looks like the girls who it happened to beat me to it. I was in SHOCK at how a group of 5-6 unproblematic beautiful young girls were treated at Cafe Derbi. My boyfriend and I were at the bar and we saw them enjoying a concert in front row and not bothering anyone at all, just singing and dancing. As the waitress (from below I see her name is Tijana?) was trying to get through with a bucket of beers, she used her free hand to push the crowd left and right. In any normal setting this would be okay but she seemed to lose her patience about halfway and practically shoved one of the girls where she almost tripped on the stage. As the rest of them tried to jump in her defense, Tijana was quick to request the security guard to kick them out?? And wouldn't stop arguing until the girls were escorted out. I asked my boyfriend to go intervene and a few others came to their defense to the security guard, but clearly this waitress didn't budge even though they did absolutely nothing... the girls walked out and we didn't see them again. DO. NOT. GO. HERE. This place is by far the worst experience of my life. I arrived at Cafe Derbi with a group of 6 of us total, expecting to enjoy an event to see one of our favorite Balkan artists. Upon arrival, the staff was immediately rude to our group which was off putting, but we wanted to enjoy the night so we brushed it off. As the night progressed, we were continuously pushed and shoved with force by the waitress/bartender Tijana to the point of us tripping on our feet multiple times. Asking her to stop led to her verbally harassing me and my friends, yelling at us to get out of her way and threatening to punch us and/or kick us out. She proceeded to demand security to kick me out, which he was also confused as we did nothing wrong. He told me there was nothing he could do as she was the owner's daughter. Tijana said we could stay as long as us girls (girls isn't the word she used) stayed out of her way. After being kicked out in front of everyone, disrespected, and threatened, we were not going to spend another moment in this place. This is not by any means a small business to support. If you are part of the balkan community and anticipating to attend an event at this place, save your money and go to a different show. read more

My neighbor took me here and the outdoor patio is very nice to sit in on when it's good weather, which it was today. He insisted we try the Beef Links which reminded me of a gyro sandwich, the bread and homemade cream cheese were excellent with zesty fresh red onion, especially with mustard added! They also had nice mugs for their hot tea, the shape of them was nice for holding the warm cup. I would come back here again to try something else. read more

I ordered a bunch of food on Christmas eve via the Eat24 app. I used a "coupon" from their menu to get a deal for a 2-topping pizza & wings. I also ordered a couple of other entrees (including the large meat plate), setting up hopes for a tasty feast that would last well into Christmas day. Sadly, it didn't quite go down as I'd imagined it. The first issue occurred about 45 minutes after I placed the order. Eat24 called me to say the restaurant doesn't offer the "coupon" price I ordered. I asked why it was on the menu if I wasn't allowed to order it, and the Eat24 rep told me it was an issue with the app (not the restaurant's fault). Fair enough; I told them I didn't need the wings, and they could remove them from my order. An hour later (105 minutes after I placed the order), the food arrived. I was so eager to dig in at that point, I didn't check if the delivery was complete and accurate. It wasn't. The salad I ordered was missing, and the pizza had only one of the two toppings I ordered. Although they did include the wings without any apparent price adjustment. The rest of the food was largely underwhelming and bland. Except for the meat plate, which was excellent. I realize it was Christmas eve, but it would be nice if the order had been right. With so many restaurant options available in Vegas, it seems unlikely I will be returning to (or recommending) Cafe Derbi. read more

As summer's coming to Vegas, Cafe Derbi is a great place for chat,coffee and of course,my favorite, Nutella crepes! I remember going there about 2-3 years ago, before I became vegetarian, and the food was almost as good as back in Romania, had a dish with some cheese wrapped in pork with French Fries...was absolutely fantastic ! And tonight I was actually pleased to see its still on the menu, so I had to recommended it to my friends for their next visit. Tonight was just a night for wine and crepes, something that will always make me come back. As much as I would like to give this place 5 stars, I just can't ! And it's not because the waitress/bartender wasn't as fast as we would have liked to, but because of the smoke... I'm sure that if I would be a smoker this wouldn't bother me...but the thing is that I don't smoke and I hate the cigarette smoke...and here people would eat and drink while smoking, no regards towards other guests ... I'm grateful for the nice weather and their nice size terrace for allowing me and my friends to enjoy the evening outside, almost smoke free! read more

We went this place 7/7 Monday for lunch. Ina was our server she was very helpful and took care of us very good. Place is nice and clean. It was kind of slow but I guess for the lunch it is normal. We love the food. We will go back again for sure. read more

2.5 Stars I came here on the recommendation of a cousin who gets suggestions from coworkers. I've been putting it off for a while but decided to give it a shot. First impressions 2 Chinese guys going into a Serbian/Yugoslav place felt weird like the music stopped but we just found a place to sit and I just followed my cousins lead since he has already been here once before. The place is simply decorated with orange walls, orange and black drapes with a wood floor that could be converted to a club with a full bar, DJ'ing area and dance lights. I'm not sure of most of the names since they are in Serbian. Our waitress suggested for a appetizer the "Cheese Pie" a pastry wrapped around cheese similar to mozzarella. For a salad we split a salad made of tomatoes, cucumbers and feta cheese. Finally for entrees, I had the Mixed Meat Derbi plate, which was basically a sample plate of the grilled meats available (sausage link, pork chop, pork loin and a beef patty over fries) and my cousin got the Big German Hamburger (a Beef patty stuffed with cheese on a Serb style bun). Both were good but I found the flavor lacking, kinda bland. I guess they don't heavily season their foods. Interesting thing was the hamburger bun, it had a light texture and the flavor was sweet similar to a pancake, hard to pinpoint. My major dislike of the place is the all the smoking going on inside, a true smokers den. I work in a casino and don't get this kind of second hand exposure, leaving the place with stinky clothes. We ordered delivery last night and the chicken fingers were NOT COOKED. I ate raw chicken by accident! Then when we called to inform the management, they were rude to us and said they would only offer us a credit for the chicken like they were doing us a favor. She didn't even sound surprised about the situation! I will NEVER eat here again and will make sure to tell everyone to be careful of their uncooked food. Gross read more

I wasn't not happy with the pizza, it had no red sauce on it & was very greasy, also the 2 liter was flat.

I am disgusted with their service. The food was nasty. pizza and the chicken wings were hard as a rock, they look like they were old..

They do not take orders over the phone but they do deliveries which doesn't make any sense what so ever and the lady who answered the phone was rude and not to mention she want up to date about her menu and telling me that they don't make the menus . She says that they only received orders online so I ask what their website was but she couldn't give it to me and told me to look at the menu which didn't have it either which was even more annoying read more

Amazing place, authentic Eastern European food plus the wood fired pizza! There is no place in Vegas you can get pizza like this!!! Really loved the atmosphere, I would recommend it to everyone who wants to try something different then the American food!!! You have to meet the owner, he's hilarious!!! When I walked through the doors I was plesently surprised to find a comfortable inviorment to relax and enjoy a great cappuccino. I stayed for a little wile and found myself getting hungry so I decided to give the food a shot in high hopes, I had the Derbi pizza and fell in love with the wonderful wood fire tast and amazing combination of the toping. Over all it was a plesent experience, and I will definitely be back to try more of the menu. read more

Well it all started on a late summer night when my friend and I were trying to get some quality pizza at a reasonable price. While we searched nearby pizzerias, Cafe Derbi came up. We ordered a small pepperoni pizza with a slice of a new york cheesecake. The delivery man came 45 minutes late and nearly hit me with his smoke infested Mercedes. We took the food inside, and tried to manage to finish the pizza that you would honestly find better at pizza hut. As we dove into the cheesecake, all I could of think of was how it tasted like a flan from Cafe Rio on cardboard or a slice of cake. NEVER ordering from here again! read more

Ordered food off grubhub, around 1215 am. About 20 mins later, i got a call telling me that they dont make pizzas that late. The lady on the phone said she was new, couldn't answer why it took so long for them to deny my order. Why is this place on grubhub when they wont fulfill orders after midnight? Whenever in Las Vegas I stop at Derbi to eat a good food. It feels like home away from home for me.
