This place is the dirtiest food establishment I have ever entered. The floors are covered with dirt stains and look like they haven't seen a mop ever. The linoleum badly needs repair/replacement. The lights in the eating area off to the side are either always broken or always off, which is doing the customer the favor of not being able to see all the stacked tables and other clutter at the back wall. I was going to let the corporate office know of this situation but there doesn't seem to be one, but even if this place is a franchise it needs major overhaul to be even moderately pleasant as a place one would eat. I am surprised people use it when there is a large, clean, well appointed deli next door where all of their delicious food and pastries are home made on the premises. This local business has a dedicated following for a reason -- SVB stays true to classic bagel principles and keeping bellies full with delicious recipes and reasonable prices. Their pesto bagel is my favorite, but you really can't go wrong! I called the Montgomery dr address and they said they could refund my card easily till I realized it was the stony point shop I should be calling. I called the stony point and I was met with immediate rudeness when I asked for a refund and was put on hold. The girl came back and said they could give cash only so I would have to go back to Santa Rosa when I live in windsor. They use clover card readers and I am very familiar with them you can easily go back in and refund a card. I ordered, what I thought, was a simple bacon, egg and cheese breakfast bagel. As I was driving (yes, not advised), I had my wife open the sandwich so I could eat. I grabbed the bagel and noticed all kinds of other stuff on my bagel....mushrooms, bell peppers and some other sauce. I couldn't eat it. Walked in this morning to buy a couple bagels. A man in front of me questioned the person at the counter about an 8% surcharge for using his credit card for a purchase under $10. I spoke with him about it. Then when I reached the front of the line, she ignored me. Then she called out his order and when he picked it up, she rudely said "you're welcome." This is pretty much standard Sonoma Valley Bagel, I have come in here quite a few times, they have always been quick and friendly. Clean inside. I get my bagel toasted and it's always still warm by the time I get home to chow down. Never had a crappy bagel or bad experience here....everything is always good. I was a regular here for years. The breakfast food was always really good, a lot of variety, and the man and young lady were always really friendly with me. I haven't tried lunch. I have gone only once on a weekend when the regular employees weren't there, and never did that again.
