I have been a longtime patron of Cafe Diem, coming here on weekends to study while in school for the past 6 years. I had a recent hiatus from my coming and goings to Cafe Diem. I recently ventured back to Cafe Diem the first of February to get bombarded with a multitude of surcharges. I felt as if I was walking into a corporate American coffee shop. Coffee refills, 50 cents, credit card purchases, 33 cents. I suspect next, the internet will have a surcharge associated with it. I have always had a affinity to venture to independently owned shops, but Cafe Diem lost me. This will be my last trip here. To top off the multitude of charges, the coffee is on pare with a decent coffee shop. Somedays it is great, fresh pot, other days, it is burnt. I can do better at home with my $10 Mr. Coffee. read more

They need to clean the place. Last time I was there the curtains still had food on them from 6 months ago.

Love their coffee and the atmosphere, but it does tend to get pretty crowded. We like the conference room best for getting work done and the comfy couches if we just want to relax and talk. The baristas are friendly. 4 stars only because of the need for more seating. read more

I have been to Cafe Diem several times and have always had excellent service from the employees every time. One great thing about this coffee shop is that they will let you experiment with their drinks. I love getting a hot chocolate made with white chocolate and topped with toasted marshmallow and whip cream. It's delicious! I have had their muffins as well, and they are very messy to eat in the car, because they are wrapped in seran wrap, but are tasty nonetheless. I cannot say much about the atmosphere of the shop, as I have only been inside once or twice (I like their drive through service). It seems a little dark to me, but I feel like that's something every coffee shop uses for their atmosphere. Overall, great service and drinks. Try them out! read more

Not overly impressed. I've stopped in a time or two with yesterday being my last time. Went in about 1pm and while one girl seemed to be doing all the work the other one did a lot of nothing. Both times I've also tried to use their internet it has been pathetically slow. Took me forever to log on this last time......I guess they're having wifi issues or so the girl claimed. Not cool for a coffee house, they also need to lose the dial up speed and join the 21st century. read more

'Cafe Diem' is an enjoyable coffee shop that is also very relaxed and pleasant. When I visited, the manager was in charge of the cafe for the time being. She was incredibly friendly and made the experience very pleasant. She was in a peppy mood and made the customers feel as though they were welcomed and wanted. She also would bring drinks out to people when they would require some time to prepare. The selection of drinks was decent, but the prices were slightly higher than what I expected. I ordered a hot chocolate (8oz I believe), which came to $2.50. To get the next size up at 12oz, it was only an additional 50 cents. The drink was very good though and was a lot higher quality than what would be found at a Starbucks or Panera bread. I with a few others who got coffee, and said that it was "very good" as well. The building was lain out in a somewhat strange design, but I came to appreciate it. While the building had normal booths and a few tables, there is an elevated section with couches and chairs. It was very enjoyable and was separated from the rest of the cafe. The cafe also had wireless internet which was nice. They had two separate networks and it worked very well even when there were lots of people there. The cafe never felt so full though that I was being rushed or influenced to leave. There was enough seating for probably 40 people from what I could see. Overall, I really enjoyed the service, quality of the drink, and atmosphere in the 'Cafe Diem'. read more

The coffee here was delicious, the atmosphere was relaxed and quiet, and the staff were extremely friendly and accommodating. I would highly recommend this coffee shop if you need to pass a relaxing hour or two with a good cup of coffee. read more

One of my favorite places to do school work. Coffee and bakery goods never fail to disappoint and the atmosphere is perfect.

I love Cafe Diem. This is a great place to work, meet with friends and business partners as well as to meet those who you have not met yet. The Chai tea latte is my favorite as are the salads. muffins, and sandwiches. The customer service is beyond amazing and the girls great you as if you have known them forever. Double shot espresso is the way to go. Nice stop near the office so this place is a must.

In town for our annual family reunion and always looking for a coffee that isn't Starbucks or Caribou! Locally owned coffee shops are usually better and Cafe Diem did not disappoint! Although I just had a basic latte it was excellent! Wish we lived closer! read more

We were visiting over the holidays and looking for a legit little coffee shop to spend some time working. Cafe Diem was close by and we decided to give it a try. If you have a refined palate for excellent espresso drinks, this might not be your place. We give them huge bonus points for how friendly the girls behind the counter were, though. We were really impressed. The decor and atmosphere was really nice, and they had plenty of seating. read more

I am very picky when it comes to ordering my "favorite special iced americano". The barista's go out of there way to accomodate my picky-ness. The staff are friendly, courteous and above all very helpful and cheery. I won't be visiting any other coffee shop in the near future, unless I have no other choice. read more
