I most definitely rate this place a 4.5. The Vietnamese coffee slappped. I really enjoyed the fruity pebble doughnut hole because it wasn't too sweet and just crunchy on the top. Customers favorite for a reason! The coffee crumble doughnut was really good but more breads if those who doesn't like really like sugary food. It's not too deep fried, not oily, and not too dense. read more

Cafe Dulce is decent. Haven't had their drinks or coffee yet, but their donuts are good. They've got a variety, of different baked goods. t's a decent spot for a quick sweet treat fix. I might check out the rest of their menu sometime. read more

Update: One of the representatives messaged me a while ago to ensure me that the ratios I got was off and the barista might have been new. I went back today and got the same thing to give it another shot. Safe to say that it may not be barista error. See pics where ice is filled to the top and I literally drank it before I could walk over to Jason Markk. Pic of watch to confirm today's date. Sorry guys. Tried to give it another shot. I always order the Vietnamese ice coffee and its pretty good. But lately I've notice the amount of ice they put in here. Take a look at the photo below. Great spot in little Tokyo! There's a wide selection of baked goods and delicious coffee. We ordered an Americano and Vietnamese coffee along with a donut and matcha roti. My husband is Vietnamese and he often finds the actual Vietnamese coffee slightly too sweet but the one at cafe dulce was perfect for someone who still enjoys a sweet coffee but don't want it to be overly sweet. The donut was good and the bread was delicious. There is a good amount of seating outside and I loved the location and ambiance! read more

They're the best. Really excellent quality coffee made with care. A simple black coffee is just the right acidity, flavor and searing hot as it should be. If you want to indulge, the crafted drinks are just yummy. The pastries are creative, delicious, perfect texture and look too good to eat. I love me a caprese sandwich. Or the kale salad. Both are divine with fresh produce and lots of married flavor. In short, come for the coffee and get a whole lot more. And the biggest bonus. These guys are so community minded which is huge for a small enclave like Little Tokyo. It takes everyone to contribute and care for a place like this to thrive. read more

I freakin luuvvvv his place but huge minus points for THE FREAKIN FLIES. I saw some hovering and landing on the donuts inside the window too. That is not the move y'all. Makes me think it ain't too clean inside. But aside from this, the donuts are so good. My absolute favorite is the hazelnut one. Also a huge fan of the bacon one, although some people might not be about it. I really need to come back and try all the donuts here. Obsessed with this place ! My only thing I'd say about this is that I'll have major cravings for their blueberry matcha and when you try to order online (because I'm at work) the online menu doesn't include drinks or their pastries !! Came here for roti bread and milk tea but was super impressed by the lunch menu! Great variety of salads and sandwiches. The Asian chicken salad was delicious and actually had nutritious toppings like kale and nuts. The tapioca bread is so tasty and has hazelnuts for a toasted nut flavor. The service is awesome. Super friendly staff! Convenient location to walk to if you live/work nearby. If not, you face downtown parking which is inconvenient, but if you park at a nearby lot you can stay for a while because there is lots to do in the vicinity, like cute shops and shopping malls. read more

In little Tokyo waiting for my brunch reservation at a nearby by Restaraunt . I wanted some coffee and had a sweet tooth with a twist . Hit a donut whole topped with bacon ... it was good, I was hesitant at first ... it's a game changer! I also had a hazelnut late with more expresó . I'm glad I stoped by . Need a pick me up while shopping at the latest otaku anime and manga store in the area? Well this is the place to go, they have pastries for days along with various specialty donuts that will make you come back for more. I ordered a Vietnamese coffee and green tea donut on my last trip here and wow did it ever wake me up. The Vietnamese coffee, although sweeter than my former self in elementary school, really hit the spot. The donut was actually pretty plain tasting in comparison! Overall a great stop for a snack, or your local caffeine pick me up! read more

Small cafe in little tokyo! You can find more seating outside :) was craving a matcha latte and saw that their most popular drink was a blueberry matcha latte... so I decided to order that instead of the regular matcha. I also got to sub it with oat milk! So glad they had it ;-; it's rare finding a place that has milk substitutes (and i'm not a big fan of soy or almond milk!) The drink wasn't too sweet and the oat milk balanced out the flavor :) it was delicious! Service was great too! AMAZING!! These donuts were so delicious and unique- definitely worth the price. The entire dozen I ordered was amazing but if you're stuck on which flavors to try I'd recommend the cinnamon toast crunch and oreo, and apple pie donuts. The crumbles on top add great texture and pair so well with the cream/ frosting they use! Also, you can't go wrong with the apple pie donut! It is like an apple fritter but ten times better because it's filled with ACTUAL apple chunks! So yummy. If you're looking for a bit of caffeine, the expresso brownie was amazing. Super fudge-y and had a bit of crunch on the outside. Not to mention the taste of coffee with chocolate...yum!! To top it all off, the service was great! This place is killer. First we fell for the blueberry matcha & thought about it all the time. Then we tried the breakfast burrito. Omg. It's my fave in LA. Every time we went in, we tried something different from the pastry case. Fruity pebble donuts, toast, so many delicious things. Then it was the holidays & we saw they had pumpkin cheesecake - it's epic. Then for Christmas, Yule logs! The blueberry matcha is to die for so yummy. Since I had been coming here a lot I've signed up for their rewards and I'm glad I did, They have awesome benefits and gifts. One time I waited in line for awhile and when I got to the front the cashier asked if I wanted a free pastry for my wait very nice. They have delish-ious salads, sweet baked goods and even more electrifying drinks. No, seriously. One of their coffees has F O U R shots of espresso. #KeepingMeAlive My tip: Try their treats. Enjoy their food and drinks often! Personally I'm not a fun of their sweet treats, they are for those who can do super sweet. Salads and sandwiches alone = 10/10, but they do tend to be a bit pricey. Let me preface this by saying I'm an absolute SLUT for donuts. You'll never find me NOT in the mood for a donut, no matter where or when. Ok now I've been here a few times and I've been pretty happy every time. Once just for coffee and to work outside their shop, which is very pleasant because it's near the center of the marketplace so there's usually a lively vibe and lots of people watching. And once just to pick up donuts for an event I was taking them to. I tried a few of their different flavors and as far as novelty flavor donuts go, they are mostly very good. The absolute show stopper though is the maple bacon. It's the perfect marriage of sweet and salty, and they really don't skimp on the bacon. Every single bite has some. It's the kind of donut that you still think about months after--at least I do. Point is, cute café, good coffee, and not a good candidate for novelty donuts among the many options in Little Tokyo. read more

Cute place. The employees bring it together, though. Whether it is spelled Jamel or Jumal, Jamel/Jumal with the cool knit hat went above and beyond in order to secure our satisfaction with the service during our visit at Cafe Dulce. While the breakfast sandwiches were yummy, we received the wrong protein option. We didnt mind since we had eaten some already because we were hungry and the establishment was busy. However, Jamel/Jumal took notice, and went through many checkpoints to ensure we got everything we needed and more. That shit went hard. Thank you tons. I bookmarked this place a long time ago so when it popped up as a nearby bookmark I was really excited to try it out. The place seems to have a good variety of donuts as well as coffee drinks. There are a few bar seats along the shop but there isn't much seating other than that. The staff is very welcoming as well. Since I was looking at the donut section, I was looking for something that looked really yummy and aesthetically pleasing, so I went for the fruity pebble donut hole. It is a bit larger than a regular donut hole and it looked like it would have had filling inside but I am glad it didn't. Honestly, it was so delicious I wish it were bigger. The fruity pebbles added a nice texture and flavor and were "glued" to the top of the donut using some sort of sticky marshmallow thing. It was super good and I would definitely recommend their donuts! read more

Situated in the Japanese Village Plaza in Little Tokyo, Cafe Dulce offers traditional cafe grabs: sandwiches, salads, coffee and DONUTS! I've been here a few times for lunch and they sure know how to draw a crowd. Their small space can quickly fill with people waiting to order or with those waiting for their food. I'm guilty of being one of those people. In between the cash register and the espresso bar, there's a large glass case filled with donuts, donut holes and "dinosaur eggs". It's their attention grabber. They have a variety of donuts with a multitude of toppings: bacon, cereal, strawberries, chocolate, etc.; and some of these are available as donut holes. The dinosaur eggs are oval in shape and have a crusty exterior with a dense dough interior similar to a french baguette, only sweeter. If you're in the area give them a look. I'm sure you'll leave with a donut, or a dozen. read more

Came in to try something different then what Arizona has to offer. I looked over the menu and decided to try the 18 hour cold brew coffee and the Strawberry Cream Donut. The 18 hour cold brew tasted more sweet then bitter and didn't cause any spike in caffeine for me, but over all it was still refreshing to drink. However, the Strawberry Cream Donut was absolutely delicious. Just the right amount of flavor and the use of real fruit. Sadly, it did have way too much cream to fully enjoy the donuts flavor. read more

The Café Dulce on Alameda and E. 25 St. provides a nice respite before I get to my office. My drink of choice is the Blueberry Matcha Latte. They have lots of creative baked goods you don't find any other place. There is plenty of free safe parking. Many police women and men frequent the café. read more

The drink wasn't sweet at all which I didn't expect, but it wasn't a bad thing. I wouldn't make any adjustments next time. The matcha was astringent, bitter, and umami. I did taste some slight graininess, but nothing too bad. I think they prepare the matcha as a paste then add it to the top of the milk. I've never seen other places prepare their drinks like this before! Overall, it was a solid drink for an decent price.

I would say I'm a little bit of a matcha fiend... I think I got a matcha latte at 3 different places this day... and this one far surpassed the others. I think it was one of the best matcha lattes I have ever drank to-date. It was perfectly green, the matcha quality was phenomenal, both taste and look-wise. The texture was just right, perfectly creamy with barely any grittiness. The cream top only added to the drink, and didn't take away from the matcha flavor at all, which I feel like has happened at other places for me. I'm dreaming of this matcha latte days later, and need to go back to Kokoro No Coffee as soon as I am in town again. This was a spectacular find, and I hope this spot gets all the love it deserves! YAY for Cafe Dulce!! I love you! Finally, a great coffee house/bakery in Little Tokyo! It took over the old Ce Fiore spot, across from Shabu Shabu House. I was worried for awhile since the space was empty for so long....but as always, good things come to those who wait. I've never understood why nobody ever thought of opening a nice, cute cafe in J-town. It seems kinda obvious to do so with all the busy traffic and great restaurants around the area. Sometimes, I just want to grab a cup of coffee and sit around with friends, and my only option was always...Starbucks. Blegh! My favorite part about this cafe is that they brew LAMILL coffee and teas, and now I don't have to drive all the way to Silverlake to get my java fix! I've also tried a few of their baked goods and they have these Macaroon Cookie Ice Cream sandwiches...oh dear Lord. I think these might be the next BIG thing! It was so good! All their breads/desserts are displayed behind a glass case, so I was able to put my nose up to the glass without drooling all over it. :] I eat with my eyes first! I saw that they had different baguette sandwiches on the menu as well, so I gotta go back and try it for lunch one of these days. The Bulgogi one sounded really good! I was in Little Tokyo on a visit one day when I decided to stop by Cafe Dulce for a much-needed caffiene boost. The large window of fresh donuts also persuaded me to try this place out. The shop is pretty clean and there isn't a lot of indoor seating but there are a few outdoor umbrella tables to sit at. The latte that I ordered tasted pretty average -- it wasn't very strong but definitely is not as sweet as a Starbucks drink. Either way, it did its job but I probably won't be ordering the latte again since I enjoy something with more flavor. Three stars. The donuts are what did me in and warranted a four star review. They bake donuts fresh on a daily basis and top them with all sorts of treats: bacon, cereal (fruity pebbles), peanut butter or chocolate frosting -- it seems like they have various donuts depending on the day you show up and at a pretty decent rate as well ($1-2 for a donut). cafe dulce is hands down my favorite cafe in LA! i work close by so i go at least once a week and everything is delicious!! i love donuts so i've tried every single kind they have and ALL of them are good. seriously, all of them! just depends on what you like. my favorite thing is the koko churro, the texture is so unique and chewy. then my other favorites are the green tea donut, a fluffy soft donut filled with green tea custard, the strawberrys n cream donut, a fluffy glazed donut with custard in the middle topped with marscarpone and a strawberry, and the hazelnut crumble, a flakey donut with hazelnut buttercream in the middle. More of a 3.5 star reviews. Stopped in after dinner so the review is pretty limited. Wanted to try the famous green tea donut, but they were out by the time we got there. Had a HK milk tea and shared bacon donut. Surprised that the HK milk tea actually had some good flavor. Lots of places in LA serve it, but most of them are downright bad and no flavor. The bacon donut was pretty good, but the problem was that it was a bit cold from the display case. Won't dock them too much for that because I'm pretty sure if it was heated up a bit, the donut would be very good. The texture and flavors were good, just a bit gummy due to the temp i think Want to come back and try a few more desserts and drinks before I make a final judgement, but this cafe is very solid and you can see the effort and quality they put into it. read more

Pop into this not-so fancy Café Dulce for a far-fetched cup of coffee or soothing tea! I actually tried it in a whim (with a few pals) yesterday noon and really happy that came across this one in town. Well, the restaurant is really delightful for almost everything that it has under its roof - you name it and it tastes delectable enough to rest on your taste buds. Oh by the way, do not forget to try their artisanal sandwiches and freshly brewed coffee. Both the stuff come flavorful and really fresh straight from their kitchen's section! I just went on the safe side and got their Strawberry Cream donut. MY GOODNESS. The look of it was otherworldly. It had strawberry jam glazed upon it, a dollop of what tasted like cream cheese frosting, fresh berries and fluffy strawberry cream squeezed in the middle. It was paradise at first bite.
