I was looking to get my coffee fix this morning and wanted to get away from Starbucks, so I decided to try this place on my way to work. It was my first time here and I ordered a regular latte along with this little churro-style tapioca ball treat. That was definitely something different -- and delicious. Huge shoutout to Dough for the recommendation because it was so good I ended up going back for a second one. The service was great, the atmosphere was cozy, and even though the place is small, it worked perfectly for me to sit down and get some computer work done. Food-wise, the sandwiches and breakfast options are solid. Everything tastes fresh, and the bread alone makes a difference. Pastries and donuts are also surprisingly good not just an afterthought. The vibe is chill, clean, and not overly crowded compared to other LA coffee spots. Plenty of parking, indoor and outdoor seating, and it's a good place to either hang out or just grab something quick. Service is friendly and consistent, though depending on the rush, your order might take a little longer but nothing crazy. Bottom line: Great coffee if you're into that, good food, and a relaxed atmosphere. Lowkey one of the better café spots in Vernon if you know about it. read more

I came in pretty early on a Friday, and overall it was a solid experience. I ordered a breakfast burrito, which is always a reliable choice and it definitely hit the spot. The only downside was my latte. It had a lot of foam, a bit more than I'd prefer, so it felt like there wasn't much actual drink underneath. On top of that, the cup was leaking from the bottom, so I found myself rushing to finish it before it made a mess. I don't personally like to rush hot drinks, but oh well. Other than that, it's a pretty good spot to grab some food and get on with your day. I'd still come back, just hoping the drink situation goes a little smoother next time. read more

Cafe Dulce is always a sweet win! This location is clean, bright, and welcoming, with super friendly staff and shelves that never disappoint. I'm hooked on their Cold Matcha and rich hot Mocha--and don't even get me started on those heavenly Roti Buns and fresh, drool-worthy donuts! This place is so cute! They are in a plaza and have ample parking so no issues with parking which is always a plus! The server was kind and was patient while I figured out what o wanted. I ended up grabbing a chocolate chip cookie, ordered an iced vanilla latte and an iced blueberry matcha. The iced vanilla coffee was good, and just the right amount of syrup! The blueberry matcha was also delicious! I thought it would have blueberry puree like but I think a syrup is used, regardless it was good and not too sweet. They have a variety of food for breakfast/lunch and the donuts/ baked goods looked so good! I went for a quick coffee run but I will definitely go back to try the food. Once I do I will update my review. The pricing is okay, a bit high but I feel like now and days going out to get a matcha means spending $7.00+. Showed up to this place a few minutes before they closed, I understand trying to go home on a Friday. Totally understandable.. but instead of being gracious the gentleman barista instructed the young woman to lock the door as I approached. Jerk move. I finally made it to Café Dulce, and wow, it definitely lives up to the hype! I tried the breakfast burrito with sausage and avocado, and it was a total standout. The tortilla was light and crispy, the flavors were spot on, and everything tasted incredibly fresh. It's one of those dishes you take a bite of and instantly know you'll be back for again. 10 out of 10 for taste! Cleanliness is also a 10 out of 10--the space is well-kept and welcoming. The service was great too, very friendly and quick. I'd rate it a solid 8.5 out of 10. Café Dulce has a really good selection of pastries, coffees, and teas. I tried the rose green tea latte and it was simply delightful, light, floral, and just the right amount of sweetness. There's something for everyone here. Whether you're grabbing a quick bite or planning a chill brunch with friends, this spot hits the mark. It's a very nice place. Service is fast and good. They have everything you need coffee bakery sandwiches and salads. I bought only a cup of coffee with oat milk, the large size latte, which was pretty pricy to be honest about $8. I think they charge extra for the oat milk, but that's too much guys, oat milk is not so expensive:) I'm not professional in terms of coffee taste, but I think this one was too sour. Some sorts of coffee have citrus taste, so maybe it was because of specific coffee beans, I don't know. Probably need to come again, but no oat milk this time. The location is good, seems like you guys did a research. No coffee shops around. And it's busy. Thank you! Overall I give them 5 starts! read more

I tried to visit on December 26th, but it was closed during posted hours. I checked Facebook and Yelp, but there was no notice. The food may be good, but being closed on a Friday morning without communication makes you second-guess trying the place. I walked into this place for the first time and would have left if I wasn't already wearing earplugs. The bass was so high and the music so loud, I don't understand why ppl would stay inside. Burrito was good, but the bottom had a buncha extra tortilla they coulda stuffed w a little more food. I wouldn't tell anyone "not' to go here, but I'm not recommending it either. Big selection of coffee type drinks, btdubbs-if that's your thing. Where was I when this location was opened? I'm so glad I was able to swing by Cafe Dulce before heading to the west side for work during the holidays. It was the best decision ever because of the smooth traffic. I've tried the Little Tokyo location, but it was my first time here and I have no complaints. At least at this location, they have their own parking lot shares with only a couple of businesses. The food is the same as the Little Tokyo location. I still love their breakfast sandwich. That is a must order when you're here. Don't forget their donuts and buns! When you're not sure what to bring to work for the holidays, you can always count on them. The service was amazing. The ladies that work there are very nice and got everything under control. The place is also very roomy, I want to say it's way bigger than the little Tokyo. Coming back? Yup! read more

I order an Asian salad at 11:15 to be pick up at 12 it wasn't ready! After I paid right away had to 12 minutes. They were serving other people and place me last. Also a few weeks ago I went there 6:50 went inside the store and the Asian guy told me to get out no very nicely because they open at 7 am. Not very nice attitude. Plus now their food is overpriced. read more

The iced blueberry matcha with oat milk is a great treat. Super balanced matcha, sweet, & refreshing, you can clearly taste the blueberry. They make their own pastries and the staff is super friendly, especially Dan. They have a few different locations, and this one seemed consistently busy while we were there. I've tried quite a few items here the breakfast burrito is always a win and the sandwiches are really great clean simple, and delicious. Never boring, and always satisfying. Drinks can be a little inconsistent. I've had some make me feel uneasy and some be more than fueling overall, it's a really great café. The service has a lot of mixes usually it's mostly bad because it's just lacking. It just doesn't really exist here go to food, but my update is there's other cafés that are just as good. read more

This place is in the middle of a bunch of warehouses, so parking is very easy. The young lady at the register was new, so she couldn't answer many questions. I asked some other more experienced guy and he said the most popular were the Korean cheesesteak or the spicy chicken something. I opted for the cheesesteak and asked for a cup of water with no ice. After a while, my name was called and my order was given in a to go bag. I was pleasantly surprised by the side vegetables and the sandwich was yummier than I expected! Good bread texture with decent amount of fillings and fusion flavor. Afterwards I was curious about the desserts. I took a bad picture, but forgot to capture what I actually ordered. It was one of the smaller colorful ones in the upper left hand corner. Also good! This is in a challenging location, but I like this concept. I would come back if I were around to try other entrees and the many yummy looking desserts. I say if you're nearby, give Cafe Dulce a try! read more

my favorite place to eat when i'm in the office fosho. very chill vibes, lovely decor, great prices, healthy and fresh food/drinks/pastries. what more could i want? today i had the apple tuna sandwich. the bread was perfectly toasted and the filling was delicious. it comes with a small side salad with some kind of asian style dressing. also got a koko churro bread which is like some type of mochi consistency, i love it alot! wanted to congratulate myself for having pretty good results at my physical exam LOL. and the hong kong milk tea was delicious. i got half sweet, which means i guess they water it down with milk. that's fine with me cuz i'm trying to lower my caffeine intake. read more

Heard about this place online and found out this Vernon location was very close to home. Came to try out the matcha that was raved about and they weren't wrong. The matcha is so good. The blueberry matcha with oat milk is the best one but the regular matcha is still good. I've tried the chicken pesto sandwich, Asian chicken salad, and breakfast burrito and it was all really good! The place is very clean and well decorated, and there is a very big outdoor patio. Also, plenty of parking. Only bummer is their hours and they're closed on the weekend, but not a deal breaker at all. TLDR: Matcha is super good, food is all good. Place is nice, and there's parking. read more

They serve heart. Got the matcha latte & was $4 & some change! I would get it again. Open lounge concept with cute deco. Has tables and seats so you can sip on coffee/tea while working. They have plugs on certain walls so you can charge your laptop/cellphone. There is free 1 hr parking at the front or park in the structure. There are cute boutiques right next door and across the way. People are always going in and out to and from this cafe because it's a lobby in an office building and there are elevators located in the middle. Restrooms are located outside, need to walk about a block. read more

Loved visiting Cafe Dulce regularly while I worked nearby. The mocha was some of the best mochas I've had, and I tend to order a mocha whenever I go to a coffee shop. I loved the mocha roti as well. I only ordered food from here once (chicken pesto sandwich) and it was pretty good too. Note that they do not carry straws. Great for the environment, but I wish they had eco-friendly straws--when drinking my mocha, all the chocolate sinks to the bottom so when I drink it throughout the day while I'm working it tends to taste worse over time without a straw. It also gets pretty pricey, and some of the cashiers were pretty unfriendly. Overall ambiance/food/drinks are great, but service/pricing could be better. read more

This is a nice hidden gem in the city of Vernon. Went there not too long ago had a very good Matcha drink, but the star of the show was their pastries and their breakfast sandwiches, the employees were very nice and helpful. The restaurant itself is small, but they have a nice little patio to sit outside. will definitely be coming back. read more

They also do Einspänners, cream lattes, and more traditional drinks like flat whites. All these come in one size, ensuring a consistent taste for each drink. Although I did enjoy the banana tiramisu cream latte I had I don't know if paying an average of $7.50-$9.00 is worth the price. The quality of the ingredients can be tasted so it's up to you to decide if that price is worth paying. Food - High Quality for Simple Design Following the same rhetoric as the drinks, the food they serve here aren't complicated but they do have a high standard to their ingredients. The Wagyu Egg Sliders is executed well with toasted Hawaiian rolls, perfectly cooked Wagyu beef patties, and a hand chopped egg salad between them all. The egg salad part especially feels like the same type of flavor you would get if you got an egg sando in Japan. The ingredients taste great and as a simple recipe it is executed well. However, for the price of $17 you might be looking for more than "simple done perfectly". If you're looking for a kick or accent to their food you'll have to look for outside sources. I recommend asking them for condiments like their salsa they use for their breakfast burritos. Their breakfast burrito also falls under the same umbrella of well executed with simple ingredients. When I went to pick it up, I grabbed a saucer to avoid spilling on my way back to my seat. Before I could even walk away, one of the baristas snatched it from my hand and said, "You're not allowed to use that. The saucers go with the latte mugs!" I paused, glanced at the empty café behind me, and replied, "There are plenty available--surely I can use one." He continued, in a dismissive tone, speaking to me in a way that felt unnecessarily disrespectful. I chose to walk away and still enjoy my pour-over. But it's not just about serving good coffee. As Maya Angelou reminds us, people will always remember how you made them feel. And in this space, I felt unwelcome. As a paying customer--one who tipped in advance--that behavior felt undeserved and unwarranted. For that reason, there's no need to return.
