PSA: there's a kids' menu available now! See pics. $9.95 includes rice and beans and a soft drink. The kid quesadilla is quite tiny though. PSA #2: OpenTable reservations available! And you might need it. The restaurant was FULL at 6pm on a Friday, and almost every table had a kid, toddler, or baby at it, so I think 1) families (or parents lol) must like Mexican food, and 2) reservations would definitely be helpful! Complimentary chips and spicy salsa are available. I still petition for tortas to be on the dinner menu! My first petition for a kids' menu worked! Lots of offerings including burritos, bowls, tacos, enchiladas, fajitas, and other entrees. My burrito was pretty ginormous, but it lacked a little flavor and mostly tasted like cheese and beans. Husband didn't complain about the enchiladas, but I think the serving was a little light for him. Because it was so busy, the waitress told him he could only choose one meat type. Satisfactory mojitos. Energy and atmosphere is very lively! Service was a bit slow, as I think the waitress was bouncing across many tables.

Okay I love this place. The food is always so yummy, the vibe is amazing, and it's so convenient being so close to my house. Every time I come here it's such a good experience. Also Ruby who works there is seriously the sweetest. Her voice, tone, and positive energy are so refreshing and she always makes people feel welcomed and happy. She honestly deserves a raise for real. Customer service like that is rare these days! We demolished the food before I even took a proper pic haha

If you're looking for Mexican cuisine that is above par and more of a sit down restaurant, Cafe El Tapatio is your place. They take aunthentic cuisine and up their game by dressing it much better than their competition while tasting delicious at that. The service is comforting and the staff is really inviting! They give you suggestions on what to order.

The place was very pretty, the food was good and the staff, Ruby & Manny were very nice. My boyfriend and I split the 3 taco dinner & the 2 churro dessert that came with chocolate & guava dipping sauces. Attached is a churro place called the Churro Parlor where there are more flavors / dipping sauces. Both the restaurant and Churro Parlor are owned by the same person. With our meal, they were accommodating, since I didn't want some stuff on my taco, so they put it on the side. It was a good amount of food, especially, since we wanted the churros for dessert. Thank you! Gracious!

This was a solid California burrito. I was surprised to see how large the burrito was when it arrived to the table. The steak was cooked well and it had thick potatoes inside of it. Flavor overall was good but a tad different from the California burritos I've had on the west coast

Me and my family were exploring the small town and figured to try a new restaurant so we decided on coming here. Finding the place and parking was a breeze, the ambiance of the restaurant was very nice. I loved the decorations, and the seating next to the windows. The service was nice, and attentive. We didn't have any problems with the waiters and waitresses. But the downfall of this place was the food. Let's start with the chips & salsa. The chips were good, the salsa actually had a kick to it! I was pleasantly surprised. Though if you can't handle spice, I'd stay away from it. Now onto the guacamole, it was bland and had no taste to it. The presentation was pretty but that was about it. For one entree, we had the carne asada tacos. Though I'd mostly call them cilantro tacos. There was barely any meat on the tacos, and plus the tacos were very small. The price for the portion size definitely isn't worth it. You get a little bit of rice and some beans. The rice is rice, nothing special. The beans were pretty good, I enjoyed how smooth they were. Moving onto the other entree which was the chicken chimichanga. It was decent, it wasn't bad but if I did ever return I'd try to go for something else. Maybe I was expecting something more. Overall, I'd go somewhere else. Especially for the price range for the level of food and portion controls.

This a very fun Mexican restaurant with excellent quality food and top notch service. If you're a Football Supporter, the staff here are pro America and Real Madrid. The complimentary chips and salsa are very good and they will keep filling your bowl until you've had enough. My buddy and I polished off 4 bowls easily. For appetizers, we had Nachos with carne with guacamole. Excellent! For the main, I tried the Caldo de Pollo. This is a chicken soup with lots of veggies in a very hearty broth. The piece of chicken was a large breast piece and it was awesome! The vibe in here is comfortable, informal and fun and on a hot day is the perfect shaded shelter from outside's roaring heat and humidity. Cannot wait to come here again as it is not too far from the Sun Casino, the best casino in Illinois in my book.

First time coming here! The chips and salsa I was told are free- for the first basket. If you ask for more they charge. I ordered the enchiladas verdes. They were pretty good. I loved the look of the restaurant, very nice inside. Going on a Friday they were PACKED. The margaritas were weak and tasted like barely any alcohol in them.

On a weekday evening, as expected, the restaurant was not busy.  We were promptly seated at a 4-top table (2 × 2-top) against the right wall, with some other 2-tops on both sides.  Like many reviewers had mentioned, the venue was beautiful, modern and chic. There were 7 tables occupied, including us.  The music that they had was not too loud, just that customers' conversations were amplified by the box shape open dining area.  If we focused enough, we could hear every conversation if we wanted to.  This was obvious when a table of about 6 women got seated at a table near the front door, some of them laughed and talked very loudly.  My husband and I just found it funny and didn't let that bother us.  However, when the restaurant is filled on busier days, it might be a different story. Our server, Patrick, was very nice and attentive.  Since they did not list drinks on their menu except those with alcohol, I asked him about non-alcoholic drinks.  After a brief "discussion", he asked me to leave it to him to make me a drink with mango.  He came up with a beautiful drink that was good and refreshing, with some mango flavor.  It was Virgin Paloma on our receipt for $8, which was reasonable.  He was very polite and checked in on us several times at appropriate times during our dinner.  The pace of the dinner was good, we spent a total of an hour and 15 minutes in the restaurant. Patrick might be the only waiter serving all the tables that evening, though. I also ordered Grilled Octopus ($22) which was very good, tender and flavorful, but was a little too salty to my taste.  The small pita bread wedges were warm and fluffy with some crispy edges, the beet hummus was creamy, and everything was delicious and tasted fresh.  I generously shared 2 little bites of octopus with my husband and I finished the entire plate, it was so good!  My husband really liked his Spiked White Fish ($29) and I shared a bite of that too.  He also had a House Salad for $6, that was a very good value.  He enjoyed a glass of Sauvignon Blanc Crossing ($12) too.  We also shared an order of Crème Brulee ($8), that was creamy and cooked perfectly.  We ordered a takeout order of Rigatoni with Sausage ($23), that was a good portion, and was still delicious and al dente the next day after being microwaved. I am so happy that we found Social Inn - a hidden gem in Plaza del Prado, it's not far from home, with comfortable and beautiful ambiance, excellent service (from Patrick), an attractive menu with enticing food (fresh ingredients and appealing plating), and reasonable prices, we will definitely be back!

We were in the area late in the day and remembered Social Inn was open, so we went. We ordered a variety of items. I did order my burger medium and it was delivered well done, but it was still good. They also have one of the best gluten-free buns I've ever had. I do wish they were open at lunch time still, but I understand they need to be open for their busiest hours. Social Inn is a great option when you are in the Glenview area.

The sweet kale salad was very large, easy to share, and had a nice dressing. The crunch potatoes straws were also a good touch to the dish. So far a great start to the dinner. For entrees we ordered the grilled chicken giardiniera and NY strip. Both of these were subpar and did not live up to our expectations. The NY strip was bland and did not have a nice texture to it. Moreover, the grilled chicken dish was way overcooked and very dry. The chicken itself lacked flavor and did not have much seasoning on it. The only flavor came from the peppers on top. The positive parts of the entrees were the large portions and side of potatoes. The chicken dish came with 3 chicken breasts and a healthy amount of potatoes. Our server was kind, and the restaurant had a nice vibe to it. When I went, only a couple of tables were occupied so it was pretty quiet when I dined in. For my second, I got one of their Valentine's specials which was essentially a Boulevardier made with a small float of mezcal on top. What an amazing addition to this classic cocktail! We made a reservation because I'd heard this place can get pretty busy. Although it didn't seem too crowded when we first arrived on a Saturday, it filled up quickly throughout our meal. I definitely recommend making a reservation, especially if you're planning to come for dinner. As soon as we walked in, I was struck by how beautiful the restaurant is. Since the building was once a church, they preserved the stained-glass windows and cathedral ceilings, which give the space so much character. We ended up sitting on the patio because it was a gorgeous day, but I definitely want to come back and dine inside so I can fully appreciate the interior. The patio was modern, spacious, and completely shaded, making it very comfortable. Since it's located right next to the little lake, we also enjoyed a nice breeze throughout our meal. Our waitress was friendly and attentive overall, but there was one moment that stood out. My friend's baby accidentally knocked over a full glass of iced coffee, spilling it all over my friend's lap and onto the floor. The waitress watched as my friend cleaned up the mess herself but didn't offer to help or replace the spilled drink. Aside from that, the service was good. My friends and I all ordered something different, and everyone enjoyed their meals. I had the salmon poke bowl ($19), which was fresh, flavorful, and incredibly refreshing. The ingredients tasted high quality, and all the flavors worked really well together. It was more filling than I was expecting! Price-wise, I expected the menu to be more expensive than it actually was. I'm sure dinner prices are higher, especially for steak and seafood, but the brunch menu was quite reasonable. Most breakfast and brunch dishes range from $12-$20, making it a great value for both the quality of the food and the beautiful atmosphere. Overall, we all enjoyed our experience and I'll for sure be back! I'd love to try other menu items and come for dinner, too!
