Finally stopped in for happy hour! Our bartender was the absolute sweetest and made the most delicious spicy margs. We only tried the happy hour poke and cheese curds and the cheese curds were delicious! I would love to come back and actually try dinner.

This was our first visit here and it was on a Sunday night to celebrate Father's Day. We came for the earliest reservation, which was 4:30 PM. Luckily, I did make reservations weeks in advance because I was very surprised to see this place. Fill up even at this early bird dinner time. Please note parking around here. It's pretty tricky even on a Sunday. If you could find street parking, it's free with no time limit limitation however they do also offer valet. The menu has changed since they originally opened probably a year or so ago. Which is also great to see. We did order two appetizers, three entrées and one dessert to share amongst three people. Everything was super fresh and super delicious. We are definitely coming back here. We honestly did not expect it to be this great but it truly was impressive. What made the night even more memorable and fantastic was the incredible service from Michael D. Michael D needs to train other servers. He is absolutely on point and speaks and behaves like a real veteran in the hospitality business. I've never been overly impressed by ballyhoo hospitality, however, this is significantly different and they did something very right here. There are so many restaurants opening in the downtown Glenview area and this has to be a stop for anyone and everyone In classic ballyhoo hospitality style the ambience is absolutely impressive and impeccable.

As I expected, with the proliferation of new restaurants in Glenview, Jackman and Company has updated and simplified its menu in an apparent attempt to make it a little bit more accessible. Surprised and a little disappointed that my two favorite dishes are now gone... Nonetheless, had a very nice experience and dinner at the bar this evening. My wife had a salad, and I had the short rib with roti. Guessing that is meant to replace the unfortunate loss of the duck confit tacos!

We visited for a birthday celebration and had a solid experience overall! We started with the artichoke dip; while it was very flavorful, the portion was quite small, a bit too salty, and didn't come with enough chips (though we easily ordered more). For mains, the salmon was cooked to absolute perfection--juicy and not overdone at all--and the smashed burger was wonderfully juicy and paired great with the waffle fries. Tip: Happy hour runs Monday-Friday from 4:30 PM to 6:00 PM, but it's strictly bar-seating only. If you are celebrating a birthday, your dessert is complimentary! Our waitress, Ann, was incredibly attentive and friendly, and the noise level was low enough that we could actually hold a conversation. There's valet parking!

It was surprisingly crowded on a weekday night so we sat at the bar. For my drink I got a spicy margarita and it was really good--very refreshing with a kick. For appetizers, we got the sesame rolls, and they were super soft and fresh. I also tried bacon wrapped dates for the first time (so I have nothing to compare these to), and they were alright but I thought the cheese was sort of overpowering. For food, I got the brick chicken and it came with a side of crispy cottage potatoes. The chicken with the garlic thyme jus went well together, and the potatoes were so crispy and delicious. The sticky date cake almost tasted like pumpkin bread because of the spices I was tasting. Overall the food was good, but I wasn't blown away by anything I ordered. Although our server was really friendly and helpful, I felt that the service was lacking and it took awhile to be checked on to order our drinks and food, but maybe they think it's best to just leave customers alone and allow them to take their time. He also gave us our check without asking if we wanted dessert or anything else. He apologized and made sure to ask if there was anything else we needed before we left which I appreciated.

I sat at the corner of the bar for my first visit to Jackman & Co. and had the pleasure of meeting the bartender, Matt. Matt was attentive and made an effort to make the right drink, based on my description of things I like and then paired my dinner with the right wine. I ordered the Belgian Style Mussels for an appetizer and they were spot-on delicious. Probably the best I've ever had. The flavors were perfect. For my main course I had the Alaskan Halibut and I must say that it was cooked perfectly. The bar was the perfect place to sit in relative silence and just enjoy a dinner out by myself. The staff was attentive but not bothersome and everyone was truly very kind and it was a pleasant place to hangout. I definitely recommend Jackman & Co if you're in the Chicago area. It's a MUST VISIT.

Fantastic new restaurant in the heart of downtown Glenview. You can swing by for dinner or just stop in for drink. If you're lucky, you can sit by the fireplace. The staff is very friendly and it gives off a fun gastropub vibe.

Pretty decent spot! It's considered a "gastropub/tavern" online, but felt more upscale. We sat indoors close by the patio and the breeze coming through was nice, they have a cute fireplace too which gave the ambiance a more comfy feel. All of the food was okay, but definitely very salt heavy. I had high hopes for the crab toast, but despite me being a fan of any fried food, the toast itself was super oily. We ordered a couple of small bites and a couple of medium ones. I will say that for two people, an added entree is a must next time because the portions were small aside from the chicken skewer (hence the category on the menu). Overall, we enjoyed our time. Our server was charismatic and explained everything well. I think the only major miss was the drink I ordered, I believe it was the Queen Doesn't Need a Passport, and it unfortunately tasted really watered down in terms of all flavor as well as alcohol.

Pleasantly surprised when we booked this spot to try! It was pretty hard getting an RSVP even on a weekday so book ahead! We ordered a lot to try: Brussel sprouts: 8/10 very good, great for table to share Baked brie: 9/10 delish with the cranberry jam Crab toast: (no image) but it was 7/10 Fish and chips: 10/10 not fishy, well fried, loved the tartare sauce And both desserts were a delight to try. I would for sure come back again for their specials to try.

Jackman & Co. is a much needed addition to the Glenview area. I and many others were excited to hear about it's arrival, and it has not disappointed so far! I've been twice now. Ambiance is great, particularly in the bar area. Staff is extremely well trained and professional. Very attentive. Their happy hour deals are some of the best in the area. Menu is thoughtful and everything I've had so far is great. Highly recommend.

What a great spot! This is a wonderful new addition to the area. I had such a great dinner on a random Thursday. The service is amazing, everyone was helpful and attentive. We sat outside but the interior is very classy. Can't go wrong with this spot for drinks or dinner. I'm excited to make this a regular spot for friends and family.

The service was great they were checking on us and following up on everything and very attentive. Now let's go to the food my sister recommended the shank I opted for the pork tank I think they also have a lamp one but the pork one was really good and super tender you don't even need a knife for it you just cut it with your fork or spoon in the meat comes off the bones right away. The pasta we ordered was also good came with the sausage it was the sausage rigatoni with sausage. My sister recommended the crispy brussel sprouts she said it was really good but we opted to go for the octopus I feel like the octopus was over seasoned a bit but it was cooked perfectly really tender. Will definitely be coming back to this place to try more stuff on their menu. Happy eating!

However, as…read morethe day approached, the weather forecast consistently called for thunderstorms, heavy rain, and possible flash flooding. We decided it was not a good idea to drive to an unfamiliar area in inclement weather and canceled the reservation on Friday night. We were fortunate that Social Inn is close by and is a great restaurant for celebratory dining. Best of all, they still had reservation available. As it turned out, it was just light rain the entire evening on Father's Day, but we didn't regret the change at all. Although the restaurant was not filled to capacity, it was bustling with many families celebrating Father's Day, creating a festive vibe. It's the first time that we met the owner, Daniella, who's so warm and welcoming. She invited us to choose from available tables in three different dining areas. We selected the table right by the lounge that had a large TV, homey décor, couch and cocktail table. It was also right by the big window overlooking the small and charming front patio. Our server, Chis, was very friendly, pleasant, and attentive. I ordered a Lemonade ($3), my husband and daughter each enjoyed a glass of Mer Soliel Reserve Chardonnay (2 for $26). We shared a Grilled Octopus ($22) which was cooked to perfection. The warm, lightly charred pita points paired well with the creamy and tasty beet hummus. I had a Slow Roasted Lamb Shank ($39) which was tender and full of flavors. It was a very generous portion that I shared a big piece with my husband; and still had leftovers to take home. It made a delicious lamb sandwich for my next lunch. My husband liked his Spiked White Fish ($29) so much last time that he ordered it again. Our daughter enjoyed her order of Rigatoni Sausage ($23), another generously portioned dish that she couldn't quite finish. By the end of the meal, we were too full for individual desserts, so we shared a Crème Brûlée ($8), which was the perfect sweet ending. All in all, it was a wonderful dinner. With consistent delicious dishes, warm hospitality, comfortable seating, and a convenient location, we will definitely be back again.

The sweet kale salad was very large, easy to share, and had a nice dressing. The crunch potatoes straws were also a good touch to the dish. So far a great start to the dinner. For entrees we ordered the grilled chicken giardiniera and NY strip. Both of these were subpar and did not live up to our expectations. The NY strip was bland and did not have a nice texture to it. Moreover, the grilled chicken dish was way overcooked and very dry. The chicken itself lacked flavor and did not have much seasoning on it. The only flavor came from the peppers on top. The positive parts of the entrees were the large portions and side of potatoes. The chicken dish came with 3 chicken breasts and a healthy amount of potatoes. Our server was kind, and the restaurant had a nice vibe to it. When I went, only a couple of tables were occupied so it was pretty quiet when I dined in. Overall a decent addition to the Glen but would only come back for the appetizers. The entrees could be revamped and this place would be awesome.

My dad had an office and n Glenview when I was younger and this place was there and he had never heard of it. I guess if you were local or took the Metra, then you knew. I made a reservation as there were twelve of us coming in. We arrive for our monthly Burger Club with high hopes. It's a cute place. They have a nice outdoor deck area and the inside has a nice wooden bar with tables around it with two or three additional rooms of seating, too. We asked for separate checks, and our server told us it was no problem (it was). They have a lot of burgers to choose from so we thought that this would be a great place to go. I'll say this, our server was wonderful. Super nice, really friendly, always refilling drinks. Just a wonderful experience with her. And that's where it ends. My burger came our perfectly prepared (they ask what temperature you want and I wanted medium rare). The patties are insanely thin and toppings, while fresh, are overly abundant. Fresh lettuce, tasty pickles, etc. the burger had no flavor. No salt or pepper to season it or anything. And mine was the best of the group. Others received burgers that were overcooked, had the wrong buns, came with caramelized onions, but were raw -were sent back and came back raw again - and the sides were underwhelming. I don't like ketchup, so I asked for ranch and it was thick and had a funky flavor to it. Then bills came and they were all wrong. She had mixed up every bill. Thankfully most burgers cost the same, but drinks and some side upgrades don't. We will never go back here. I have no idea how they stay in business.

The patio is just okay, in my opinion. It's small and nothing is very special about it, but on a nice, sunny day, it's perfect for lunch. I've never been a huge fan of the indoor dining area either, and I usually opt to sit at the bar if I can. The staff is very kind. They have an excellent burger. It's always cooked right and I love the bun. I add avocado to mine. The fries are great too, and always the perfect amount of crispy. I consistently used to order their Turkey Club, but at some point in the past few years, they switched from fresh cut turkey to deli turkey. It's not nearly as good anymore for that reason, and not worth ordering. The only Glenview restaurants I know of that still use fresh turkey in their sandwiches are Hackney's and Meier's Tavern. Also, their Guinness pours can be questionable depending on who's pouring. Nowadays, when I go to Grandpa's, I only ever order the Chicken Kabobs. They are absolutely delicious! If you like medium spice, I advise you to ask for them cajun-style. They are best this way! The kabobs come served over rice with the most juicy oven roasted tomatoes, and this addicting peanut sauce on the side. I pour it over the whole thing. It is a must-try and no doubt the best thing on their menu. Highly recommend Grandpa's food, as most things on the menu are enjoyable. They also have Merkt's Cheese!

We went on July 4th - we made reservations using their website. The experience of booking reservations seemed easy. There were limited hours available, and we settled on 5:15 since the only time after that was 8 PM, and that was too late. We had hoped for a time between 5:30 and 6:30, but not available. We arrived a little early and were seated immediately - there were few other patrons there and lots of tables open. The server and the service was great. We had six in our party and ordered a variety of things starting with an onions loaf. Wow - that was good. I appreciate that they don't salt it, or add very little salt. This way, we were able to salt it to our tastes. I ordered 1/2 rack of ribs which comes with fries and cole slaw. Others at the table had the Rachel (on the specials menu), Grown-up Grilled Cheese, the Chicken Wrap, The Hack Smash(burger), and Fish and Chips. As mentioned earlier, the onion loaf was quite good. Everyone said their meals were great. The ribs were good but way too saucy for me. I wish I had asked for the sauce on the side - but that is my opinion and others may like ribs with an abundance of BBQ sauce. It was about this time I realized it was almost 6:30 and there were many, many tables open. So, I'm a little disappointed we were not able to find a different time for our reservation. Clearly, they had tables available. For desert, the table shared the bread pudding. Warning - it comes very hot so don't dive into it... However, and I didn't have any, everyone raved about how good it was. Thanks to Hackney's for another great experience.
