Cafe Figaro is hidden away in a strip mall but has a nice outdoor seating area. Our server was very friendly and took our order promptly, however she wore her mask under her nose which made us all uncomfortable. I would describe the food as "home style". It's a bit on the heavy side for my taste. I had the salmon which came with their "famous" scalloped potato's and asparagus. The salmon was a bit over cooked, as was the asparagus. This used to be a real good place but now something doesn't seem quite right or quite the same? I started with the wedge salad, but that's not quite telling the truth on the menu because there was no wedge in the salad. It was just shredded iceberg lettuce with a half a pound of cucumbers, which I've never seen on a wedge salad, quarter pound of tomatoes and a few little pieces of bacon. The dressing was supposed to be blue cheese, but it was just this white creamy sauce? And they did have some blue cheese crumbles. I was not satisfied with that at all. We and another couple dined at Figaro's last evening. It is off Wiggins Pass Rd and Rt41. We were greeted by a delightful and efficient hostess and promptly seated. The service from the start to its conclusion was flawless. Staff knew the menu and was very attentive. The prices were very reasonable and the menu quite diverse. Our appetizers were great and our entrees (each of us had something different) were even better. The ambience was inviting generally, but several active televisions were candidly a little distracting, but could easily be remedied. We also learned that a group of 7 chefs from out of town were dining there as well.... a testament of sorts to the food quality. It was so very inviting and so well executed, it deserves a "5" It was our first visit, but will not be our last. The location is a bit challenging to find, but GPS works well. Maybe that's the reason we secured a reservation. I hope Figaro's Staff reads this because they deserve to take a bow! read more

The Cabernet Sauvignon was good. The salmon with lemon beurre sauce, scalloped potatoes, asparagus, red cabbage and a destructed wedge salad was delicious.Their rolls were similar to what my grandmother used to make. So good! I read Dennis D's review on Cafe Figaro and thought it has been years since I had liver and onions. Dennis said "I'll probably have the liver and onions again" and I would agree. It was awesome. During the off season they offer dishes for $10.95 of which the liver and onions was part of that deal. With the liver and onions came scalloped potatoes and green beans and a caesar salad. Our server Billy was very helpful in making sure we navigate our way through the menu and was very pleasant. They also have wonderful bread as a starter it was great. When I first saw the bread I was thinking nah can't be good. Wrong, it was excellent. Mrs. K. ordered their pork chop which also included the potatoes green beans and salad for $10.95. She ordered the pork chop well done it came out slightly rare with mild blush of red. Not a deal killer for me but she was able to get enough well done pork to satisfy her appetite. Billy asked if we had room for dessert and we didn't. Just a solid place. Once a month they have a pig roast which if that is your thing it looks to be interesting. read more

Really really bad. We didn't stay for dinner. Servers were new, from what we were told, and just a total mess. We think the chef was taking oders and serving from what we could figure out. Do I blame the employees working there tonight?? No. Owners dropped.the ball. Owners should have been present. We had been there a few years back and it was wonderful. Not sure if this is sports bar or quaint Italian restaurant. Decor is a mixture of both. Service was poor. Employees wore all sorts of different outfits and not very professional looking. Overall seemed to be a lot of confusion amongst the staff. I ordered the chicken Figaro. The chicken was ok but a very small serving. Likewise very, very small servings of sides (about a tablespoon of red cabbage and three asparagus spears). Not a good value. Two friends ordered the prime rib special and they could not eat it. Cafe Figaro is a restaurant that my family and I have been going to for years. Alex is an amazing chef and restaurateur. The food is always amazing and service is impeccable. You can't go wrong with any item on the menu. All of it is clearly made from scratch and lots of love. Their Sunday pig roast has to be the most festive occasion in Bonita Springs. Alex really knows how to keep his guests entertained and welcomed. Their wine selection and pricing is also great. Absolutely terrible. Raw pork, a scampi dish with artichoke and broccoli, and store bought lobster ravioli. Everyone in my party got a stomach ache after eating here. All the food here is store bought you can tell. They have the same liver at Walmart. You can go home and make it yourself. The salmon changes every week. The Tilapia, grouper, seabass are all bought frozen. The lobster ravioli comes in a bag frozen (the sauce is just prego with heavy cream added. The chicken is from Walmart and contains rib meat. You couldn't pay me to eat here. I heard this first hand from an employee that was verbally abused and sexually harassed by the owner. Ravioli was ok-chewy lobster, meh-di-ocre flavor of filling. Sauce was very rich, thick and salty. Its been a long time since I had either ravioli or vodka sauce so a hall-pass on this. Veggies served were overcooked and sad. Perhaps because creepy chef was roaming the restaurant? While the dinner gods spat in my food and face, my dinner companion had a lovely meal with the Salmon. Her salad had no brown parts either! I'd avoid italian food at this italian restaurant and sit at the bar. I think you'd have to be a local to get good service. Or just service. We ended up walking out of Cafe Figaro. They wanted to seat us at this tiny little table (more like a nightstand) with horrid chairs that was in a hallway leading to the bathroom. There were three other four-tops each with parties of two and at least three other empty four-tops. We had a reservation and it was only 5:45! When we objected to the ridiculous table, they offered to seat us at a table for 12, but luckily I overheard the waiter saying there was a large party coming in at 7 for that table, and the owner responded well, we would be gone by then. So they would have kicked us out in an hour! Supposedly the vacant four-tops were for parties of four, but who knows. The female proprietor was disinterested, walked away and clearly plays favorites. Our group also had the Figaro salad fresh and crisp made with tomatoes, cucumbers, onions, feta cheese with a light vinaigrette, seared ahi tuna with drizzled homemade ponzu sauce, lobster ravioli with a house made creamy vodka sauce all with raves. To be fair, service was good and the restaurant had nice ambience though located in an out of the way strip. Now to the food: My salad was drenched in a very vinegary dressing and far too tart to be enjoyed. The grouper was not pan seared as ordered and was overwhelmed by a citrus sauce that again wasn't at all appealing. Nor was the far too cheesy potatos au gratin which appeared to have been almost dropped on my plate. The other veggies followed suit and were not good. After such a meal, I could see why the waitress never once asked me how the food was??(I cannot remember being in a restaurant and not being asked this, often several times.
