Booked this on open table for four people. We were the only people in the restaurant all night. The owner/ server/cook was pushy and rude. Wine list is extremely over priced. Menu doesn't list any by the glass. 1 ultra light beer 12.00. Glass of Rose 25.00. Bottle 120.00. Food was just ok. Nothing to brag about. Would never go back. We still regretfully tipped 20%. My comments echo Carl G's, 2 star review, but no more. Quiet dinner for two... $300 later, that left us feeling taken advantage of!! To be fair, the food and service were genuinely good. The escargot, boeuf bourguignon, and bouillabaisse (le poisson du jour) were all well-prepared and enjoyable, and dessert--ice cream with mixed nuts ~ was a nice finish. However, the lack of transparency around pricing was disappointing. We were offered bread and still water at the start, which we accepted without hesitation, only to later find both were charged without any mention of cost or listing on the menu. While that was frustrating, it was minor compared to the wine situation. Wine by the glass wasn't mentioned, nor listed on the menu - only bottles - so we relied on the server. We ordered four glasses total (two Sauvignon Blanc and two Cabernet), and were shocked to find they came to $100--$25 per glass. For wines that were average at best and poured modestly, this felt excessive and unexpected. In the end, I'd only recommend for the quality of the food - but with a strong caution to ask about pricing upfront to avoid surprises. read more

My friend and I stopped in for a late lunch today, not knowing it was closing time.(2:30PM) We offered to leave but the owner insisted on serving us a superb quiche Lorraine, served w/a perfectly dressed spring greens salad. We have dined here at least twice every year when we vacation in Naples. Last night was the end of the tradition. First the good: the onion soup was superior. The rest: the duck was good. The house wine by the glass was for kids behind the high school. Every table left wine in their glasses. Cheap wine is a clear statement of what the establishment thinks of its patrons. Next, Sergiy had a stick up his derriere. And requested still water. $5 bottle and charged for bread, even first basket in an expensive French restaurant. Raise the prices, include amenities, pour the house wine in the sewer, and remove the stick. Bye, bye. Too bad to have to leave a former favorite. read more

Not sure why we waited so long to try this place? Service was amazing! The wine list, while not extensive, has some of the best selection in town! First the prices are higher then the menu on the website. All entrees at in the $50s. Everything else on the menu is also priced higher. They gave us fresh bread right away without us asking but then charged us for it. The menu was smaller than on their website. The good was good. The Duck was very good. The Beef bourguignon was ok. Small portion with little meat. To me it should have had more of a wine flavor. Only 2 options for dessert which was disappointing. No by the glass prices for wine but were told we could get a glass only but then were charged $30 for a glass. All in all a bit disappointing. We loved not only the food but also the service. We were warmly greeted when we entered and shown to a lovely table. The atmosphere is clean and bright but also quite romantic. Four of us had dinner there last evening and it exceeded our expectations ... the delightful owners were welcoming, energetic and helpful. All of the dishes that we ordered were perfect... we started with an in-house smoked salmon salad and wild mushroom soup followed by sweetbreads, cassoulet and bouillabaisse... all paired with wines chosen by the chef and finished with fresh house made desserts ... triple chocolate mousse, Opera Cake and Napoleon paired with rich coffee with a thick crème on top... give this palace a try and leave plenty of time to relax ... they make it all to order and don't skimp on quality...we will be back!!! read more

I was looking for an opened restaurant coming back on Christmas Day from New York. Not a lot of restaurants were opened so it was difficult to find something. I had a lot of luck to find Tartine & Tartelette. As a French, I was happy and curious to have a dinner in a French restaurant in Naples. First, the place is very small and very intimate. This is perfect for a date or for a nice romantic dinner. The ambiance is relaxed and the noise level is acceptable. Dress code is normal. The food is very French local and traditional. Very organic and fresh. I felt being in my mom kitchen back in France! The Foie Gras is delicious and well presented. The escargots were delicious and the Provençal sauce is just amazing. The duck pâté is just a gem, we ate the 3 appetizers and left nothing! Finally the entrees were good, but a bit expensive. Tasting very very good, the veal was fantastic with the olives. The Angus steak was also very nice. The entrees were just excellent with a good glass of Côte du Rhône. Overall, very nice ambiance. You leave "full" and with a good taste and experience. The final check is a bit elevated but I can't complain for eating such an excellent typical and traditional French food!!!! Loved it. read more

I was very disappointed on my birthday when a reservation was made on open table and they had a private party and did not honor the reservation. No sorry or we can make it another day. All the owner said was we shut down open table because of the party. Well you didn't because I got a confirmation. I have been wanting try this place. Absolutely wonderful hidden gem. I highly recommend it. Lovely hostess and server. This French restaurant is run by a husband and wife team. Charming sums it up and the food is exactly what I look for in a French restaurant: perfect plating, great flavors, good portion. I was too full for dessert but plan to leave room next time. Although we don't live in Naples we do travel there twice yearly. It would definitely be a favorite. Having been a cook under several classical French chefs I can say it's quality dining. The only small caveat I'd include is his fois gras could use some cognac or brandy in it to elevate it. It was good, just needs that extra bit. read more

My husband and I dined here (our first time) for our anniversary. At first we were surprised by only a couple tables when getting a reservation was a little difficult. Upon our experience it was clear why they only sat a few tables, it's just the husband and wife running the show!! We were greeted and attended to promptly so no worries about slow service, service was wonderful and personal! We started with the Escargot and Mushroom Truffle soup, WOW! This was the absolute best mushroom soup - I was literally in love! For our entrees we had Scallops and Polenta cakes and the Veal Sweetbreads - again so impressed. Not only the food quality but the presentations!! Lastly, at this point we were stuffed but a dessert had to be tried! We selected the Profiteroles, it was huge and so yummy (homemade ice cream)!! VERY DISAPPOINTING Looking forward to a nice 72nd birthday dinner, unfortunately, it was anything but nice. I ordered the lamb chops medium rare. Waitress said that is the way we always prepare them. They came out medium well, no red anywhere. I immediately brought it to our waitresses attention and she did not seem to understand the problem. I should have refused the dish and refused to pay for it. I didn't, took a couple of very dry bites and left two chops sitting there. NEVER AGAIN. We took a chance and came to this lovely neighborhood gem on Valentine's Day with no reservation! We were warmly welcomed and while reservations were filled, we were offered a table outside (on a BEAUTIFUL Naples evening). The service was wonderful, very attentive and helpful as we made the very difficult decision of what to order off of an incredible tempting menu. We started with the Escargot (I wanted to drink the butter and parsley sauce!) then I had the Lobster Thermidor and my hubby (the highly critical chef) had the Sweetbreads. Every bite was spectacular! Of course, the recommendation of a perfectly paired wine was appreciated. We ended with the special dessert of lychee ice cream with rose infused whipped cream, raspberries and macaroon crumbles which simply blew my mind! We will be back often!!! This was our most uncomfortable visit ever to a restaurant. We went on a Monday night at 7:40pm and were greeted by a very nice lady who sat us promptly. There was only 1 other couple in the restaurant at the time. One minute after seating us, she went to the kitchen, and who I assume was the chef and owner began yelling. The yelling was in a different language that I could not understand, but it seemed to be directed at the woman who sat us, and went on for at least 5 or 6 minutes followed by the slamming of the door that goes into the kitchen. The hostess came out to take our order, but said they were operating on a very limited menu. We realized that the yelling in the kitchen was an angry chef who wanted to go home and was mad at the hostess for seating us. We excused ourselves and left. I never walk into a restaurant just before closing, but we checked beforehand and their advertised closing time on yelp is 10pm. If they've moved to summer hours, then they need to update it on social media. The way the chef (owner?) behaved was extremely unprofessional. He could have come out to say that it was a slow night and the kitchen was closed for the evening. But instead he went on a tirade directed at the hostess (his wife?) loud enough for us and the other couple finishing their dessert to hear. read more

This small French restaurant is a gem! Hidden near the entrance to the north Naples hospital, it provides a gentle respite to the bustling environment of most resort cuisine. I ordered the scallops and they were fabulous, perfectly prepared with a grapefruit glaze. Surrounded by a medley of vegetables and jasmine rice, they were a feast for the eyes as well as the stomach! The warm French bread with soft unsalted butter was also a treat. At the risk of sounding francophile, I would love to hear the accent from the order taker, who really was a nice individual otherwise. There is contemporary French radio streaming, however, during my lunch visit. Love the modern decor in white, grey, and silver. Quiche served at other tables received a thumbs up. This is a little hidden gem. Don't be fooled by the outside. It's a small and intimate. The service was attentive and responsive. Wanting to try several different dishes, we started the butternut squash soup and the duo foie gras and followed with the scallops and beef bourguignon. All the dishes were well presented and delicious. he soup was thick and had nice long finish. The foie gras was fresh and the taste lingered on from both the cold and warm slices.
