Recently dined in with a party of 7. Groups of 5+ are heavily encouraged to make reservations anywhere in town. Most of my party showed up 10-15 minutes late and staff was friendly about it. Service was prompt when everyone arrived. Drink orders were promptly taken as we trickled in. This was probably one of my favorite meals while in town. Everything was fresh and delicious. I rarely see boudin on menus so that was a fun find for me! Portions were on the smaller side for price but to be expected. I would return for breakfast when in town again!

Food was delicious and the lavender mimosa was amazing!!! Delano T. was so fun and gave us the best service. Even made us a huckleberry mimosa which was also amazing!!! A great stop on our Jackson trip :)

So much of Jackson is fake: fake exteriors, chain businesses, up-scale pretentiousness. Please. Then there is this cafe, just off the square, nestled in a log building that is listed in the National Register of Historic Places. Not only real, but historic, yes! It is busy but staff work together to keep your coffee filled. Friendly and patient, particularly with those who ended up here for who knows what reason. Love the breakfast choices, from benedicts to chicken/waffle (recommended) to classic western of 2 eggs, home fries and bacon (my favorite). The multi-grain wheat toast by itself almost makes it a worthwhile stop. Only one issue--a single restroom for a lot of people. But hey the coffee is worth the wait in line.

This was our first breakfast in Jackson. Ambiance was nice and relaxing. It's right next to Persephone bakery. We were seated immediately and service was attentive. The food came out very fast. I ordered the fried chicken and waffles and let me tell you, it's out of this world good. Definitely the best fried chicken and waffles I've ever had. The chicken had a very crispy batter and it was so juicy and tender on the inside. Literally drooling as I'm typing this. The Belgian waffle was so fluffy and paired so well with the warm maple syrup. If we go back to Jackson, this is definitely on my list.

What went well? Everything! From the moment we stepped foot in, we were sat quickly and everyone was Uber friendly. The server was amazing. He was quick and tended to our every need. The restaurant has a very small vibe but I think it seats quite a few people. The food tho... I knew the instant I saw boudin on the menu, I had to have it. Luckily they have a Cajun Eggs Benedict made with boudin that was absolutely phenomenal. I have had ALOT of eggs Benedict and this has to be one of my favorites. The poached eggs were cooked perfectly, the hollandaise was tasty and the baguette that it was all put on was soft and easy to cut through. Easily one of my favorite meals on this(so far) week trip I'm on. We ordered some of the Pig Candy which I hear they are known for. It was tasty but I feel like it would have gone better in a dessert then just as a side by itself. All in all I 100% recommend Cafe Genevieve. Make a reservation and go now

Service was quick. Indoor and outdoor seating options. I had one of the eggs Benedict's as well as the fruit bowl & loved the meal. For the first time, a fruit bowl was an adequate portion for the price of one. Food was so good I considering coming back again on the same trip.

We had a nice lunch here outside on a nice day. Service was ok, ambiance was very good and the food was very enjoyable. We had a combination of sandwiches and salads. Pig candy was so-so. Wouldn't order it again. Waiter forgot my chili. Reuben was excellent, though and the Melvin beer was cold. I would probably return when back in the area.

I was passing through the state with my family. We were seated right away, no wait time. I forgot to take pictures of their dishes but I was able to snap a picture of my Avocado Toast. It was delicious, no doubt. I finished the plate leaving the ketchup. Overall, that was the best avocado toast I ever had. Must try if you haven't yet!!

Café Genevieve on East Broadway in Jackson is an adorable breakfast/brunch spot just off the Square in Downtown. The menu ranges from eggs and omelettes. Soup, salads, and sandwiches. There is a small coffee and cocktail list as well. I ordered fried chicken and waffles takeout on the way to the airport. I was actually really surprised at how delicious they were (I am used to fried chicken and waffles being dried out a little bit, but was willing to give Café Genevieve a shot) The hostess was friendly. The only thing that was not clear upfront was the service charge. I am not surprised though since it is fairly common in Jackson.

We came to Café Genevieve for breakfast and it was delicious. I got the s'mores French toast, which was fantastic. The Buffalo sausage links were really good and are a must. We were able to eat outside, which was really fun for the ambience. There's only one bathroom for this restaurant so be forewarned.

Pretty solid breakfast spot! The food was tasty and I don't have many complaints. Service was great -- friendly and attentive without being overbearing. The only thing I'd love to see is more gluten-free options on the menu. That would've made it a 5-star experience for me. Still, a great place to start the day and worth a visit if you're in the area.

Fantastic brunch in the heart of Jackson. Went on July 4th, and despite the crowds, we didn't have to wait long, the service was excellent, and the food was delicious. They have to fix that bathroom door from slamming shut, but other than that, it's a cute little place, too. Yum yum.

Everything about this place was excellent. After having sesame chicken the evening before I needed something more robust that would make me feel fresh. Loved the breakfast food. Poached eggs were kissed by angels (I command you to try the cajun eggs benedict). Reminded me of an elegant restaurant I used to eat at every day near Wall Street where I traded bonds. Kudos to the chef. read more

My friends and I went to Cafe Genevieve for brunch on a weekday and got seated right away. The space is pretty tiny and I bet it gets busy on weekends. We ordered bloody Marys and mimosas which were priced right (around $6) and yummy. The Bloody Mary came with pig candy, super candied bacon that was really tasty. My friends both got the daily feature, a sweet potato hash, and I got the Cajun Benedict. The Benedict was really good. The sausage had a soft texture and I thought it looked undercooked but it did taste good. It was boudin style with rice in it. The bread was perfect - toasted yet still soft, which made it easy to get a perfect bite. The eggs were poached a little over what I prefer - they weren't runny yolks but jammy instead. The potatoes came with sautéed peppers and onions and were pretty tasty and seasoned well. Our server was super friendly and lovely! I would definitely go back to try the shrimp and grits or the corned beef hash. read more

We came here for dinner with the family and really likes the cute atmosphere and nice outdoor patio. We ordered macaroni and cheese, beef tacos, pulled pot sandwich, trout, and chicken pot pie. DH wanted a plain chicken breast but they bread all their chicken in advance (for fried chicken) and wouldn't prepare a plain breast- kind of disappointing! For the food, the mac and cheese was excellent, as was the pot pie, trout, and pulled pork sandwich. The tacos were not good at all- under seasoned, full of gristle and fat, and huge chunks of onion. Yesterday was my parents anniversary and the Cafe seemed like a great spot to celebrate to conclude an awesome day in Jackson Hole. We were seated outside on the front patio which had a great ambiance. But from the moment we sat down the experience went for the most part down hill. The service was terrible, there is unfortunately no other way to put it. Our server was absent and our food came an hour after we ordered it. The appetizers were good (the famous "Pig Candy" bites were awesome), and the salad with sesame dressing was great, but the entree's were limited and average at best. My father and I got the Elk Sirloin dish craving a taste of unique Wyoming cuisine. The taste of the meat was okay, however, it was unbearably gummy and we ended up sending it back to further tender it on the flame. The next morning, to our discontent, both my father and I got the runs. My mother enjoyed the fried chicken. Unless, you are willing to spend a night in Jackson just to try the "Pig Candy" bites, go somewhere else. Jackson Hole is an awesome town with great food. In the end, our experience was not great. Maybe their lunch or dinner is better than breakfast. They were not adhering to the 6ft rule or spacing guests at tables, we were actually so close to our table mates, I could head them chewing. The food itself was greasy spoon breakfast at best. The quality was basic and the presentation is comparable to a Coney Island. The service was on par with the food. read more

My group of five came here for dinner with a reservation and were seated right away. We ordered the Pig Candy ($9) which somehow never got to the table, but the food we did get was good. The beet salad was delicious, as was the french onion soup. The steak frites were popular at our table, and the fries that came with it were awesome but incredibly salty. One member of the group had the fish of the day, which was sturgeon, and that was probably the best dish of the night. read more

The staff was bright and cheerful as they welcomed us in. The coffee was delicious and plentiful. The breakfast, chicken fried steak and eggs for me and waffles and chicken for my Boo, was brought out promptly and piping hot. The seasoning was exquisite, the breading cooked just right. The waffles could stand on their own, lightly sweet, crisp on the outside and oh so tender inside. All in all it was well worth the detour we took to experience a restaurant so highly recommended by Guy Fiere. read more

Well food was mediocre not bad tasting don't get it mistaken, but it's pricy like if you are getting a gourmet meal needs to chill on the pricing Secondly the damn server had the audacity to come back and ask and beg for full tip like wtf?!?! Never in my life has that happened to me before... That was not pleasant he was already receiving an $11 tip I am never going back again!!!! read more

I'm from Florida, so it goes without saying that snow is not something I'm used to! After a long day of exploring and looking for wildlife outside, I was dying for some hot soup! When I saw tomato soup and grilled cheese at Cafe Genevieve, I was sold. The place itself is cozy and cute. There was a nice outside seating area, but it was too chilly for that! We got seated right away and the service was very good. As for the food, the grilled cheese was made nicely, buttered crispy bread with gooey cheese! The soup was pretty basic but hit the spot. I also ordered a side of Mac and cheese, and it was amazing! I definitely recommend it! Just one negative to this meal. I added avocado to my grilled cheese (which is usually a good idea!) but the avocado wasn't quite ripe. If you go this route, ask about the avocado first!! read more

We had our young grandson with us yet had to ask for a high chair. Service and food were just okay. Not much flavor to their pasta dishes. Good hamburgers and fries. We had to ask for ice and water refills. Several times. They have a limited menu during happy hour (2:00-5:00). They weren't full so service should have been better. They turned down the lights in the middle of our meal so we could barely see. Not impressed. read more

The Eggs Benedict, blueberry coffee cake and the Huevos con chili verde were excellent. The chicken and waffles recommended by the waitress however, was not. The waffles were fine - nothing special but the three tiny pieces of chicken were woefully over fried. Service was good. read more

Best breakfast in Jackson Hole. My husband and I make it a point to come here at least twice when visiting Jackson. Always friendly staff, always great food. Not to mention they make Pig Candy which is amazing! Can't wait until the next visit! read more

Excellent service by all. Very busy place for breakfast and we felt a bit rushed. Cajun Eggs Benedict was very good. $14. Our waitress raived about their Snake River Farms Corned Beef Hash so I ordered it. It was pretty dry and just ok. Nothing great. One almost burned piece of toast and two eggs came with it $13. read more

This was a wonderful spot for a late lunch in Jackson Hole. We enjoyed the happy hour menu, even on a Sunday. Watermelon margaritas and craft beer were spot on. Pig candy is a real treat, don't miss it! Macaroni bites burgers, grilled cheese, fries and tomato soup were delicious too. We sat inside, which was quaint and adorable with great artwork, but outside seating looked like a fun option as well. What a great little cafe in an ADORABLE ski town! My boyfriend and I stopped in Jackson Hole during a road trip with our two dogs. Cafe Genevieve is pet friendly (not as common in other states as California!) and a great place to grab a quick lunch. They had a limited menu, as it was brunch, which I was bummed about because I really wanted their truffle mashed potatoes, but the brunch options were delicious! We had the Brussels sprouts - so good; the mac n' cheese - delicious, but needed some salt and pepper; and best of all, the pig candy. Damn, that pig candy though! Perfection. I've made candied bacon many, many, MANY times and it was never as good as theirs. We bought a bag for the boyfriend's dad. The bag is a little expensive but well worth it! The drinks were on special and were delicious! I got a mule and the ginger in it was very concentrated; just how I like it! The staff was very nice and accommodating. I was a little bit needy... our AC went out in the middle of the road trip (amidst 100 degree weather) so I asked for extra water for myself and the dogs, and asked for the umbrella to be moved to give us more shade. The server and the busser were very helpful. I don't remember their names, but I believe our server mentioned he was from Georgia... or a state around there, haha! Would definitely recommend and will be back when visiting this town! read more

This is my second time here. Both for breakfast. Today I had a delicious heuvos con chili verde with chorizo added. The chili was excellent over scrambled eggs and baked black beans. The staff was efficient and friendly -- and attractive. It's the middle of August in Jackson and smiles and warmth from tourism workers can be in short supply. Not here. The Cafe occupies a log cabin on the National Register of Historic Places. The porch is large and covered with two tall oak trees as sentinels. A high top table with a nearby heat lamp at just the right temperature made this a lovely morning to enjoy Cafe Genevieve as locals and tourists strolled by. I have since had dinner here with a party of four to celebrate a birthday. We each thought the service and food were great. Our table near the bar gave the setting a homey feel for me and I was sorry to go as we closed the restaurant. read more

This place was recommended to us by a local, and he was spot on! It's a cute cafe that appears to be a converted home, and has porch outdoor seating (heated) as well. Their sandwiches, soups and handmade potato chips were all delicious! I loved the grilled cheese; it wasn't your run-of-the-mill grilled cheese, but was extra delicious with hearty and flavorful wheat bread and vermont white cheddar, pluse I added beefsteak tomatoes (other add-on options are bacon and avocado). The tomato soup wasn't overly sweet, more on the savory side and also tasty. The chips are yummy and worth the up-charge if they don't come with your meal. read more

Spouse had the Buffalo Patty Melt and simply raved about it: flavors, tenderness, crispy bread, etc. Only negative were the Bloody Mary's, eh, decent but average at best. This place has potential, but they must be trying to work some kinks out. We had a reservation which got us right in, very convenient. The host seemed annoyed with the couple ahead of us who did not have a reservation, stating how busy they were (half the restaurant being empty). Someone came by our table and dropped off pig candy meant for the table next to us. We had no idea since we had never been, thought it was complimentary or something. We didn't mind the mistake at all, but the runner felt bad about it and brought us our own on the house! Very kind of her. It was good but served cold which seemed odd. Somewhat happy we didn't have to pay $9 for it. Our server was nice, quick, and efficient. Nothing bad to say there. I had an espresso and we both had mimosas, everything was strong and tasty. We got our servers recommendations - cajun eggs benedict and the huevos. I liked the potatoes with the benedict, but the sausage was rich compared to everything else which lacked flavor. My honey liked his huevos, it had a hint of warm spices which I really liked. They were training a bus boy who took our full waters off the table before we had finished. If we come back I might try a different dish. Definitely make a reservation and get drinks! read more

Really wanted to try the fried chicken but they wouldn't substitute a side - due to a food allergy that I carry an epi pen for. Server really didn't seem to care. Ordered the $8 soup and left - crazy. read more

My drink was $22 which, frankly was a little obscene for an Old Fashioned with a "mid-range" rye, but I was on vacation and I still had a 2nd. LOL. It was great. It's just a lot for a drink. If you want to go over the top, they also have a Tomahawk steak for $126 that I'm sure is excellent. A lot of folks were getting the bone marrow which looked good. Entrees seemed to be around $30 each. I would go back. I liked sitting at the bar and talking to people. Bartenders were really great about spacing out the food so things didn't come on top of one another.

We started with the wild mushroom mozzarella with balsalmic butter, parmesan and balsalmic glaze served on crunchy baguettes. It was unbelievably flavored and tasty, a great start to the night and must have! The Spanish salad with arugula, apple, fennel, almonds, manchego and a honey-sherry vinegarette was good but not on par with the other dishes. The tuna crudo with cucumber, arugula, crunchy grains, orange wedges, citrous vinegarette, fried capers and preserved lemon was light, a real palate cleanser, and refreshing. A pleasant surprise and would order again. The lamb pintxos was our final selection and a great dish to end the night on. The fork tender lamb tenderloin was served on 2 skewers with mojo verde, Spanish aoili, and pickled red onions on crisp baguette slices. Another Homerun! As an aside, an additional order on rings were added because once in a while you must indulge. The sliders were fine and dense but that is elk. The rings were EPIC! Filet was perfectly cooked to my medium request, tender, and perfectly seasoned. They tout USDA prime meats, and I have no doubt that's what they serve. Hubs ordered his steak be served on their 600 degree salt block, and he was a bit hesitant that it could easily be overcooked. It arrived at the table, he removed the steak from the extremely hot salt block and each piece he placed back on the salt block before eating. I actually did the same with several pieces of my steak. I was amazed at the additional flavor this salt block added to an already delicious filet! Our shared sides were very good, too. My husband, the cookie lover, ordered the chocolate chip cookie à la mode which is served fresh from the oven in a small cast iron skillet. I had a hard time keeping my spoon out of his delicious dessert - so glad he shares. We were seated quickly and our server was very helpful making recommendations. You can expect the ambiance is typical of a traditional steakhouse- handsome wood paneling and bar, dim lighting, candle lit tables and white table clothes. I had high hopes for Café Genevieve based on its reputation, but my visit left me deeply disappointed. Simply put, the prices are unjustifiable given the quality of the food and service. Keep in mind, this was during the Jackson low season, prior to Thanksgiving, so the restaurant was not busy. Then there was the infamous chicken and waffles. Who thought serving bone-in chicken was a good idea? The entire point of chicken and waffles is to enjoy them together in one seamless bite, not wrestle with bones while trying to eat. It completely ruined the experience for me. The waffles, were no better than what you'd expect from a Holiday Inn's complimentary breakfast--definitely not worth the premium price tag. To add insult to injury, the cappuccino came with an $8 price tag. For that cost, I expected perfection, but it was average at best. Service was another sore point. Our plates sat dirty on the table throughout the meal, yet the servers seemed more focused on hinting at tips than actually earning them by clearing our table or being attentive. Overall, Café Genevieve seems to be riding on hype rather than substance. If you're charging premium prices, the food and service should reflect it. Unfortunately, this experience didn't live up to even basic expectations. Not worth the visit. Management should be more tentative to their reviews for loyal customers and continued long-term success. read more

Situated in a historical log cabin, it's the perfect outdoor yet cozy atmosphere i love to visit again and again. There is a reason it has been awarded the Award of Excellence, come see for yourself. Grab lunch, breakfast or dinner here and never leave disappointed. While there are many great dishes to choose from, i suggest you try the Ramen Noodle Bowl, Pork Neck Ragu or their famous Pig Candy. The menu offers a promising array of dishes, and the overall aesthetic is delightful. Unfortunately, our experience was significantly marred by the service. To wait nearly an hour for our food due to a lost order was incredibly disappointing. While we appreciate the server's attempt to rectify the situation with a discount, it couldn't overshadow the length of time we waited. Love the outdoor seating! We ordered corned beef hash with soft poached eggs and a Reuben. The corned beef hash was good, with a lot of corned beef, but some of the diced potatoes were undercooked. The Reuben was delicious with very thickly sliced corned beef and served with a pickle and fresh fried potato chips. They had a great drink selection as well. Service was good, but nothing special. A five would have been for corned beef hash with more onions and well cooked potatoes as well as spectacular service! read more

Nice place near downtown Jackson. Food and prices are typical of the area. I have had a great order of Huevos Rancheros. Also, the chicken and waffles have been both hit and miss. Sometimes great, sometimes not so good. The restaurant has a good atmosphere and is also good for people watching. I was not impressed by the fact that I asked for a little more syrup this morning for my waffles and was advised they charged extra for additional syrup. read more

The romantic atmosphere on the porch, the outstanding service and THE FOOD! It was the perfect combo for our final night in Jackson! Started with Brussel sprouts and pig candy, do not pass these up. Followed but steak tartare and Red curry ribs, with asparagus side and mac and cheese. Took all of our servers recommendations, he did not steer us wrong! read more

Loved this place! The warm, rustic ambiance made for a perfect start to the day. I had the Tomato Soup & Grilled Cheese, which was rich, comforting, and perfectly done. Paired it with the Mimosa Bottle Service for a refreshing touch. Our Moldovan server was very cheerful, making the experience even better. Definitely a must visit in Jackson! read more

We ate here for 4 out of 7 breakfasts, while on vacation in Jackson. The service was great, the food was excellent, the price was reasonable, and the outdoor seating and atmosphere was incredible. We will definitely be back! read more

This is an old favorite... Real maple syrup for your chicken and waffles... Home brewed Ice Tea and arguably the best coffee in town! Lastly great service and great location near the town Jackson Town Square. read more

Service is terrific. There is something for every taste. The prices are reasonable. This is a good restaurant that is run very well.
